["Is it a picture drawn with a real brush?"

Kim Young-Sung Painting more realistic than Photograph]

Everyone who look at his artwork hanging on the wall ask the same thing. "Is this a picture?" "It looks like a printout with expensive printer."

It is about the paintings of artist Kim Young-sung (46) who paints fishes, frogs, insects and snails more clearly than photographs.

It is no doubt that this question follows his paintings, but it is due to his high skills, which is at the height of hyperrealism painting.

Kim Young-sung is not a creature who complete with a brush in front of the canvas with the look of an investigator, but a living being out of the world, emphasizing the most human significance.

In addition, in order to maximize the small beings, it is not only his skill but also the sophistication and the persistence of the autor the ones who brings about the question of whether the AI (artificial intelligence) robot came down to the workshop rather than his human ability.

He presents a solo exhibition, "Intangible Desire," which it looks like photographs, with no trace of brush marks, at the Kimhyunjoo Gallery in Samcheong-Dong, Seoul from April 10 to 25.

The theme of this exhibition is to observe the human tragedies and ironies that desire possession but can not possess desire and become slaves.

I just hope that it will be a time to recall the true meaning contained in it, by looking at it rather than repeating that it can not be made more realistic as one of hyperrealistic paintings.
