You toss around your bed for what seemed like the nth time, the mattress sheets shuffling under you. With a heavy sigh, you roll around to the small table on left side of the bed. Your fingers lightly tap on your phone screen, the brightness spreading and lighting up the whole room.

2 AM. Well.. shit.

You groan into your pillow, coming out as muffled grumbles. All you wanted was sleep, even one hour, but insomnia just had to bite you. Not even the lingering scent in your boyfriend’s clothes could help.

Tired—literally, and of no sleep—you grasp your phone. You pull it over to you, laying sideways on your pillow and pressing your boyfriend’s contact.

[y/nie] : taeee are u awake? can’t sleep ㅠㅠ

You knew he probably wasn’t, but it gave you some comfort to let him know you were awake. Although, you did feel guilty if your message wakes him up in the middle of the night.

You get up from the bed and manage to stumble downstairs, eyelids heavy and exhausted. You plop down onto the couch next to the front door with a deep exhale. You pick up the remote next to you, turning on the TV in front of you.

Just a few minutes into the video, the doorbell rings. Taehyun. You hastily shut off the TV and dash to the door, opening it.

Your boyfriend stands there, at your door, the street lights reflecting onto his skin in the dark of night. Taehyun scans you up and down, a gentle smile enveloping on his face. “You look really cute in my shirt.”

Your eyes widen, feeling heat rising to your cheeks and your stomach filling with butterflies. “Thanks..”

Taehyun slowly steps into your house, closing the door behind him. As soon as the door shuts, he snakes his arms around your waist and lowers his chin onto your shoulder.

“Were you on your phone before you went to sleep?” Taehyun murmurs into your ear as you wrap your arms around him and bury your face into his neck.

“Mhm..” You hum, feeling his lips press onto your collarbone. Taehyun pulls away to look at you, eyes softening.

“That’s why you can’t sleep, princess..” He scolds lightly. You nod sheepishly, letting your head fall to Taehyun’s chest.

You hear Taehyun sigh before sliding one arm to your upper back. He pulls his other arm away from you, moving to one side of you and crouching to slide his other arm under your thighs. He then lifts you up bridal style, making you let out a small squeak.

You lean against his chest as Taehyun carries you upstairs, pushing the door of your bedroom open. He gently lays you onto your bed, going back to close the door. He returns shortly after and slips in next to you.

You shuffle towards him, laying your head on his chest. “Sorry for waking you up in the middle of the night..”

“It’s okay, love. I got up because I want you to be able to sleep.” Taehyun tucks a strand of your hair behind your ear.

You look up at him and whisper, “Can you sing for me? It might help me sleep.”

Taehyun looks back down at you with a small smile, wrapping his arms around your torso. “Anything for you, princess.”

Your heart flutters at his endearing words, and warmth envelopes you as Taehyun holds you close. Your eyes shut as you listen to the sound of his heartbeat and his soft lullaby. Sleep once again welcomes you in open arms.

Choi Yeonjun | 최연준

He walks in on you restocking that one mini fridge in your room, drinking through a blood bag and just freezes. You’ve never told him what the mini fridge was for, and he just assumed it was for drinks, or snacks, or whatever else someone would normally keep in them.

Sue him for not coming to the conclusion that he was living with a supernatural being.

Immediately gives you the sheepiest of smiles and backs out of the room, only a little scared of the notion that one of his closest friends is a vampire. And could drain him like a capri-sun if they so wished. Which, now that he thinks about it…

“Hey, y/n? Would you ever—”

“No, Yeonjun. I’m not biting you, so don’t even think about it.”

“Okay, okay~ not thinking about it…but if you had to—”

“Choi Yeonjun!”

Choi Soobin | 최수빈

Poor thing, he panics when he spots blood over the clothes in your laundry as he’s passing by your room. That’s clearly too much to be normal, right? Right? But he’s home alone, leaving him with nothing else to do but overthink about it until you come home from your afternoon shift.

You walk back inside, the tiniest hint of blood on your sleeve and Soobin zeroes in on it immediately.

“What’s this? What’s been happening, y/n? Are you okay?” There’s no room to avoid his questioning, physically or metaphorically and Soobin’s clearly not going to relent. Not when he’s this worried about you. So you begin your explanation, sitting him down and telling him that you are, in fact, a vampire. And he takes the news rather well.

Or as well as an overthinking but well-meaning roommate can.

Choi Beomgyu | 취범규

He spots something strange outside, and simply refuses to believe that that was you. It just couldn’t possibly be you, right? But the thought haunts him for weeks; everything’s suspicious now. You like walks at night? He wonders if you’re out to find blood. You put on a little more sunscreen than the average person? That’s it, you have to be something that isn’t human.

You’re the one who notices and calls him out on his behaviour, ambushing him in the kitchen and prodding at him to tell him what’s up.

“I think you’re a vampire!” He blurts out, and Beomgyu thinks he’s fucked up when you’re just silent for a few seconds.

Because he is right, you just have no idea how he got to that conclusion in the first place. So you nod, confirming his suspicions and ask him how on earth he even figured it out. Which prompts an entire retelling of Beomgyu’s month-long freak out.

Kang Taehyun | 강태현

He’s not the kind of person to make a big deal out of it, especially when being a vampire is just what you are and nothing more. Though he does pay more attention to your more nocturnal lifestyle, but he pins it down initially to you just being a night owl and enjoying being out at night more.

Plenty of people function better at night, after all.

When he sees you taking a sip out of a flask, he asks what it is and your hesitation to answer gives him reason to think. Are you drinking something out of the ordinary? He tries not to look too nosy, because again, it’s not really his business.  Unless you’re hurt, you’re free to drink whatever you want.

Until you take it upon yourself to make it his business.

You’re the one to initiate the conversation, letting Taehyun know that yes, you’re a vampire, and that you’re more than okay with him asking questions. Frankly you were surprised he hadn’t been asking you at all, though a little grateful.

Huening Kai | 휴닝카이

Bless him, it’s Kai’s curiosity that makes him pick up on the smallest details. He catches sight of your fangs, at throws an off-hand comment about having a vampire for a best friend. Oh how right he is, and it takes everything you have to surprise him with the truth behind his words.

You might as well tell him at this point, he’s so unbelievably close yet somehow still has no idea. Likely because he, like Taehyun, also enjoys the peace that comes with minding your own damn business.

“So… I was right?” He asks when you finally take it upon yourself to tell him the truth after far too long of watching him be none the wiser. “Vampires are real, and you’re a vampire?”

You nod. “Simple as that. Not so curious anymore?”

“Not really?” He shrugs, “unless I find something to ask you about.”

You’re sure he will, soon enough.

↳ wrapping you in his jacket when it's cold

you had both decided to take a little night stroll together after a sleepless night

having mindlessly walked, you somehow ended up at a cute light park uphill that overlooked the entire city

feeling the breeze hit, you wrapped your arms around yourself to keep yourself warm but it was no help

you soon felt a large figure wrap himself around you from behind as he hugged you with his jacket to keep you both warm

"I told you to bring a hoodie to keep yourself warm, it's pretty chilly tonight." soobin playfully scolds you as his hands gently rubbing your arms brought extra heat

you had purposely left your hoodie because of moments like this

your boyfriend was a human heater, perfect to keep you warm whenever you needed

despite his argumentative statement, you knew he also enjoyed wrapping himself around you as he hugged you and rested his chin on your head

it was the small moments like this with soobin you treasured

you both enjoyed the comfortable silence between the two of you as he swayed you side to side watching the city lights in the distance

↳ watching you with adoration

yeonjun has had this habit ever since he was crushing on you but in all honesty he does this with all his loved ones

he made sure to give them his full, undivided attention whenever they were talking and would just look at them with pure care and love

yeonjun not only made you feel like you were the most important person in his life but the way he looked at you was enough to say just that too

there's just something about that little glimmer in his eyes whenever you catch him staring at you with a soft smile adorning his face

"Yeonjun stop staring, I can't focus when you do that." you tell him looking down as your cheeks heat up

"What, I'm just admiring the love of my life." he says wrapping his arms around you still looking into his eyes as you shyly avoided his gaze

he also did this knowing how flustered you would get each time and he just thought you looked especially cuter when you were blushing

this was just one of the main reasons why you always lost staring contests with him

if anything he could stare into your eyes for the rest of his life because they were his favourite feature of yours

↳ playing his guitar for you

it was a normal occurance for beomgyu to randomly start playing his guitar and sing for you but each time he did you felt like you were falling in love all over again

he loved showing his love for you in various ways but serenading you was one of the small things he'd grown accustomed to doing over the course of your relationship

here you both were sitting on your living room mat as you held the guitar close to you whilst beomgyu tried to teach you the basic strings and tunes

your date plans outside had been ruined by the rain so you thought this was a great chance for your boyfriend to teach you how to play his guitar a little

"Okay, you're getting a hang of it, good job." beomgyu praises before kissing your cheek

he then takes over easily brushing his fingers against the strings as he plays a familiar tune before he starts singing to you

you can't help but admire your boyfriend as your heart skipped a beat

in this moment you felt yourself falling more in love with him as his deep voice filled the room

you could never get tired of this

↳ feeding you

ever since the day taehyun cooked for you for the first time and you obviously falling in love (with his food)

he made it his mission to always make sure you were well fed

even if that meant feeding you himself

he was also very experimental with the dishes he made and you were his go-to person if he needed someone to taste test the food.

"How does this taste?" he asks blowing on the hot spoon reaching over to feed you the soup

you had grown used to tae feeding you at this point and gladly let him do so too because all his dishes were your absolute favourites, "This is amazing baby."

you had ofcourse offered to help him prepare some of his dishes before but after an accident whilst making some dinner went wrong

the entire txt made the kitchen a "do not touch anything (y/n)" zone because they did not want a repeat of almost burning down the entire dorm

you may be a fire hazard in the kitchen but luckily your boyfriend knew how to keep you happy through feeding you

"Omg Kai, this panda plushy is so adorable!"

if only you had realised that one statement would open up pandora's box

and now your boyfriend can't stop buying you plushies because, "they all remind me of you" he'd excuse

in the beginning you would sometimes go out of your way to buy kai a few little plushies to fill his cute collection but after the first valentine plushy he got you, he just couldn't stop buying them for you

it's become a love language at this point

although they made great cuddle partners, on days you were missing kai, you could simply cuddle this plushy which still had some of his lingering scent and fall right asleep

he too had his own favourite plushy that he would take with especially on tours to keep close to him whenever he was missing you and it was a matching one to yours

it was also the first plushy you had bought him

he had once accidently left it behind at the hotel they were staying at and he had realised it was missing when he had arrived at the airport

kai couldn't afford leaving it behind and risked missing his flight all to get back his plushy because it was a sentimental and important piece to your relationship

kai gets embarrassed and flustered when he realizes he's been caught staring. He feels so awkward that he doesn't know what to do and wants to look away, but doesn’t want to make it obvious or weird. when you look away, he's relieved because he didn't want to be the first one to do so. but he still feels shy whenever he sees you smiling because of it.
