I started this drawing two or three years ago, and finally finished it last year because it wasn't my highest-priority drawing when I first started it, and I'm also pretty slow and perfectionistic at drawing.

one time, an anti ex-mutual of mine asked me to share a callout post about some random japanese artist. they sent me the post so i read it and. they were accusing them of being a lolicon because fucking google translate translated 甘ロリ as "sweet loli" and they took that as being lolicon-related. 甘ロリ....... sweet loli....... is the shortened name for sweet lolita. as in the fashion. the artist was just talking about a character's clothes. christ.

“actually adding onto that sweet lolita ask i have more to complain abt because antis cant treat japanese artists with respect. constant reposting, saying things in english that upset the artists bc they dont cross over well when translated (especially with machine translation, which many people who cannot speak any english use)

“theres one artist ive seen who some anti will not give up in accusing them of making porn of child characters. there is no proof of this at all, the artist has said continuously that they do not draw porn in general, but this person just wont let it go.

“ive seen people act weird abt all the shortened lolita fashion names, because they all shorten "lolita" to "loli" and antis cant be normal abt that word i guess. i got in trouble in a discord server full of antis once because i sent fanart that mentioned "goth loli" in the caption.

“they also cant be normal abt the term "CP". in japanese fandom spaces (and i think korean and chinese too? i dont speak those tho), CP is short for "coupling" (カップリング). It's pronounced out loud as "kapu" (カプ) if anyone is curious. it's just the word they use for shipping. but ive seen so many false accusations towards artists that use it and its so... augh!”
