like this era really felt like a different juyeon, but not in a bad way

honestly though, she was really in her feminine energy this era. her facial expressions were a lot more feminine and she showed a more sexy image

KILL THE DAY (JUYEON SOLO)

kill the day is a soft, pop rock track that contrast with juyeon’s voice. the song is about the feeling of falling into depression; being stuck in bed and feeling like your day is wasted.

when it came to deciding units for this album, there were talks of juyeon and jongho performing a duet. however, because they had different ideas of what they each wanted to do, they decided on solos

juyeon was very secretive about her song and didn’t let any of the members hear it until it was done.

she had written and composed a lot of songs over the years so she had a lot to choose from. she decided to go with kill the day because she felt like it suited her style best and expressed feelings she normally doesn’t show.

⚡︎ music video

the music video for kill the day is simple and minimal compared to the other units. it features past videos juyeon recorded with a digital camera. it shows juyeon in her happiest moments, in contrast to the meaning of the song. the music video includes videos she took during schedules, while she’s out exploring the world, and even videos from her pre debut days. it’s a new and calmer side of juyeon’s most don’t get to see.

oreo juyeon oreo juyeon oreo juyeon ‼️ as the fourth addition to ateez’s oreo line, she wanted it to be a huge surprise. but her brother posted a video of her on instagram with her new color a week before the comeback, spoiling the whole thing

fun fact, juyeon did not like crazy form when she first heard it. she revealed this on a live; that she pretended to like it because everyone else did. but, she also said that she grew to like it while practicing the choreography

for juyeon’s solo fans got a production behind the scenes video. in both videos fans got to see a different side of juyeon, a more serious side. very different than the usual chaotic and carefree juyeon. it reminded people how much being an idol and her ability to create means to her.

that behind video also revealed that juyeon even made her own music. she’s never shared it, nor does she have any credits on ateez’s music. she explained that she has a lot of songs but none of them fit the group so she doesn’t know if they’ll ever be released.

in a behind the scenes clip from crazy form, juyeon flips off the camera but it wasn’t included in the final cut. she ranted about it on fromm, jokingly upset that that san’s middle finger illusion was okay but her actually flipping off the camera wasn’t.

she went on jaefriends with san, wooyoung, and yeosang and tried to be on her best behavior. they talked a bit about juyeon being the only female member and when kim jaejoong asked how she felt about it, she replied with, “it’s easier to stand out.” honestly, she started the episode off pretty good but ended up making a bunch of jokes and embarrassing her members.

also had the time of her life going on disco pang pang with seonghwa, hongjoong, and yeosang. she was very excited going on the ride and kept laughing the entire time. she didn’t even care that she lost both games. (she also spent the whole time bullying hongjoong 😭)
