Basically: zombies. The Walking Dead au.

Generally speaking: for simplicity for everyone, let’s assume that unless we’ve plotted otherwise ( which is always an option! ) Sigrid is on her own and separated from her father, brother and sister.  This way I don’t have to npc Bard, Bain and Tilda, and you don’t have to worry about them.

How she was separated: Sigrid became separated from her family while their group was evacuating their safe zone whilst under attack from both another group and walkers.  Bard told Sigrid and Bain to get Tilda and everyone else out the back and to the busses while he and some others held off the attackers.  Bain led everyone to the busses while Sigrid stayed at the back of the group as sweeper to make sure everyone was out. ( Sound familiar…? )

She had told Bain to go on the first bus with Tilda, and she’d hold the last bus until their father and the rest of his men got there.  Sigrid, however, got delayed helping a wounded man to the busses ( twd verse this guy, basically… ), she wouldn’t leave him behind and so instead of making a run for the busses while she could have, Sigrid diverted sideways, hiding with him until the walkers passed.  The busses were gone by the time they reached where they should have been, Bain thinking that Sigrid would be on the last bus with their father, Bard thinking that Sigrid was on the first bus with Bain and Tilda where she should have been.  

After having to put the other man down, Sigrid was left on her own, making her way in the general direction that her family ought to have gone.

Weapon(s): She’s sufficient with a knife, though Sigrid’s weapon of choice is a bow and arrow. She carries one of her father’s bows from before the outbreak. She also has a hand gun previously owned by the man from her group that she put down, but she rarely uses it because of her lack of extra bullets.  ( As in all verses, Sigrid has very good aim. )

Possible TWD canon location connections:

( I know it can be sometimes difficult as a canon character to have someone’s verse or OC mesh into your canon in a way you disagree with, so instead of just saying where Sigrid ‘must’ fit in, I decided instead to just give a few possibilities. The Prison, Alexandria, or out on the road seem the simplest? )

-The Prison: it’s possible that while the prison was running smoothly, Sigrid was found wandering nearby, and was invited back ( obviously this is at the discretion of any Rick/Daryl/Glenn/etc who would be finding her outside in any given thread to determine whether her answers to their three questions are acceptable or not ).  It’s also possible that Sigrid’s family was at the prison and got separated during the Governor’s attack.

-Alexandria: It’s equally as possible that Sigrid was found by Aaron and Eric (or Aaron and Daryl) and invited back to Alexandria.  ( Just because Alexandria is where the show currently leaves us, I’m going to say that Sigrid’s family being with her at Alexandria is not an option like it was for the prison. )

-Anywhere on the road: This is self explanatory? ;)

Those are just a couple ideas I figure would leave the most room for possibilities with a large number of characters. I’d certainly love to plot things further with anyone who’s like to. ( Come at me friends. )
