The Pikachu Cafe, (Temporarily) at Roppongi Hills

Who doesn’t love Pikachu? We heard about this cafe opening from kotaku.com so we decided it would be a great idea to go on the first day. Ha! Mistaaaaake.

There is an exhibition for the new Pokemon XY movie at Roppongi Hills in the Observation tower. 52 floors up you get an awesome view of Tokyo and lots of artwork and video from Pokemon movies old and new.

We also saw a trailer for the new movie and at the end of the exhibit you can eat in the Pikachu Cafe! There was of course another extremely long queue but like true fans we waited. And waited.

…And were eventually rewarded with delicious Pikachu-shaped food and fruit syrup floats! The teriyaki burger is delicious and the set meal comes with an adorable mango jelly dessert and cream.

The cafe itself was pretty adorable too, with pictures of Pikachu everywhere and floor like grass.
