It’s the penultimate episode of Super Mimiko (スーパー・ミミ子). I can’t believe we’ve come so far!

One thing I’ve noticed that I don’t think I’ve mentioned yet is the use of the “•” in the title. That for is often used in Japanese to kind of separate foreign words a bit since Japanese doesn’t use spaces between words. So in that sense separating the transliteration of “Super” from her name makes sense. However, we have a lot of examples of titles and terms that contain the word “super.” For example, the 1985 video game Super Mario Bros., which was rendered in Japanese as “スーパーマリオブロザーズ” with no dot between “Super” and “Mario.” Or, we can look at another example from the world of magical girls with the powered up form of Sailor Moon, which is written in Japanese as “スーパーセーラームーン,” again with no dot. I don’t know enough to know whether Super Mimiko’s title indicates that the dot was being used a bit differently back then or if it was just something this author wanted to put in as a matter of personal preference, but it’s very interesting.

2020年ももうすぐ終わり… 1年経つのが毎年毎年早く感じるようになっていきますΣ( °o°)

 1年の終わりはさみしい感じもしますが、わたしは個人的に12月の雰囲気が結構好きなんです♪

クリスマスが終わってから年末にかけてが特に好きで、小さい頃から変わらずワクワクします(単純に連休が来るからかもしれませんが笑)

外の雰囲気も、キラキラしているもののクリスマス前より落ち着いている感じがして、素敵だなあと思います( ⁎ᵕᴗᵕ⁎ )

 よい子のみんなはサンタさんからクリスマスプレゼントをもらうのかな！？

＜概要＞

1991 年から1997 年に渡り少女漫画雑誌「なかよし」（講談社）で連載された武内直子作の「美少女戦士セーラームーン」は、可愛らしくポップなビジュアルと運命に導かれた女の子たちが華麗に変身し戦う愛と正義の物語。連載開始から圧倒的な人気を博し、単行本の累計発行部数は全世界で3,000万部を突破。当時の女の子たちを夢中にさせ、社会現象を巻き起こしました。1992年からはTV アニメシリーズの放送もスタート。1997 年に放送が終了した後も日本のみならず40 か国以上の国で放送され、いまなお世界中で愛されるコンテンツとなっています。2012 年からは連載20 周年を記念したプロジェクトがスタート。2014 年には新シリーズ「美少女戦士セーラームーンCrystal」としてアニメ新シリーズが登場、幅広い世代で再び盛り上がりを見せています。

待望の最新作劇場版「美少女戦士セーラームーンEternal」の2021 年二部作連続上映が決定しました。公開日は前編1月8日(金）、後編2月11日(木祝)です。

      The two Sailor Moon Eternal anime films continue to re-adapt the manga series from Naoko Takeuchi, which started with Sailor Moon Crystal, adapt the Dead Moon arc. Sailor Moon Eternal THE MOVIE Parts 1 and 2 are set to be released in Japan on January 8 and February 11 respectively with Chiaki Kon returning from season 3 of Sailor Moon Crystal to direct at Studio Deen and Toei Animation.
