It wasn't that Regina was 'the bad guy' but it was that she was always in the middle of whatever evil was attempting to take over Storybrooke. Emma no longer saw her as the evil queen, but she was someone with a taste for the despair. The savior couldn't fault the woman, she was always put in the middle of the trouble by her parents, Snow White and Prince Charming, but that wasn't the fault of the blonde either. Sometimes no one was able to see past the lies and stories they had been told. Now was the chance to take back a quick glance, a shocked look that has colored Emma as potentially fearful, or accusatory.
