@roarunderpxpercuts || Karli & Phil cont. from x
.。.:*☆ "I've died in my own world," Karli pointed out casually with a shrug of her shoulders. As if it would no big deal at all to begin with. "So, no idea if there would even be a place for me, at this point. Not to mention, there was a lot of bullshit going on, anyway." So, maybe Karli could see this here as a fresh start. However, that would not mean she would not help others. Others who wanted to return to their worlds still.
"But, alright then. If we are going to search for those parts of your time machine, I need to know what they look like. Gueyy you do not have pictures of them, or something like that, do you?"

.。.:*☆ Had she even told him her name? Karli eyed Helion, wary. His overall demeanor still seemed to be gentle. Relaxed. But she knew to better not judge a book by it's cover. However, Karli was also tired of second-guessing everyone who was kind to her. Because it was only her not wanting anyone to pity her, in the end.
"Well, Helion, I just had been searching for shelter from the rain, really," She shrugged and gave Helion a small smile. Since the building she'd been sleeping in was about to be demolished, Karli would have to find a new place to call home. "And the waitress usually allows me to stay for longer even when I do not buy anything to drink, so...."
Helion chuckled softly at Karli's observation, amused by the comparison to royalty. Leaning back in his chair, he regarded her with an easy smile. "No, my dear, I am no king. Though I appreciate the thought," he replied with a glint of playfulness in his eyes.
"I am Helion, and I am no more than a wanderer, exploring the beauty and complexity of the worlds I find myself in. Titles and crowns have never held much appeal for me. I prefer the freedom to roam, to discover, and to savor the diversity that each realm offers."
He took a sip of his coffee, the warm beverage complementing the casual atmosphere of the cafe. "So, my dear Karli, what brings you to this cozy corner of Sydney today?" Helion inquired, genuinely interested in the stories that unfolded in the lives of those he encountered.

@mlndless || Karli for anyone
.。.:*☆ “Jesus you’ve scared me!” Makeshift weapon in her hand, Karli looked at the stranger suddenly appearing behind her with wide eyes. Ever since waking up in those.... woods, she had more and more felt like this was not Sydney, anymore. And, Karli had felt watched more and more, as well. And vulnerable. Whatever this place was, she was not exactly feeling safe here.
“Never sneak up on a person like this,” She frowned, eyeing the other. “But, since you are here already - do you know what this place is? And how we can get back home? Cause, no idea about you, but I really do not want to spend another night here, if I can actually avoid it....”

Karli & Quill - “All the same… best to keep your eyes open.“
.。.:*☆ “You say that like I would not know....” Frowning, Karli looked over at Quill. Her life in Sydney might be different now - calmer, and her life usually was not in danger anymore - but that did not meant she had grown lazy. In fact, Karli was most likely still keeping her guard up more than others.
“Also, I told you already the other day that those guys are shady. And not only ebcause of the black clothes and sunglasses,” She then added with a small nod. “Whatever they are up to, it can not be good. Though, I am not sure if I wanna be the one confronting them about it, really....”

@lcnelylcves || Karli for Sam
.。.:*☆ Finding out she had died…. Karli was not sure yet how to deal with that. She had believed in the things she and her friends had done. had believed they could make the world better. And now…. Karli was not sure if they had really changed anything. And now, she was all on her own. The only good thing was, no one in Sydney seemed to know her.
And then…. then there was Sam. Spotting him, Karli considered to just turn around and walk away. But him being here…. it had to mean something. Or, at least Karli thought so.
“Hey….” She started, avoiding his gaze for the moment. “I did not come to attack you, no worries…”

.。.:*☆ "Maybe because I do have no other place to live at?" Karli did not know if it was karma, or whatever. Just that she was struggling in her life in Sydney as well lately. Plus, she still did not know why that would be the business of this Alex, anyway. Like, so far, he did not seem like someone who would usually help the homeless.
Which got confirmed when he continued to talk. "Well, congrats to your boss then...." Karli frowned and shook her head. Maybe one of her few friends would let her sleep on their couch for a few days. "Give me at least a little time to pack then, okay?"
"Why would you live in an abandoned building?" Alex asked the other curiously, shaking his head. This person seemed a tad defensive and that's not what he meant to do. Although sometimes he knew that he could sound like an asshole. Alex tried to work on it but it wasn't something he could change over night. "First off, I didn't accuse you of anything, I asked you a question. What are you doing here? Then I proceeded to let you know that legally, you might be in trouble for being here. I was supposed to come see the building and potentially buy it for my boss." He explained. "From your defensive nature, I'm assuming you don't own this building, do you?"

@rosewaterdrunk || Karli for Sarah
.。.:*☆ “The weather is sort of nice today, isn’t it?” Karli usually was not the one for smalltalk. However, now and then, she was trying. And if it was only to keep her life as normal as it was possible, now that her memories were coming back.
“It is odd, that the weather is that warm in march. Can remember times when we still had snow then....”

@lcnelylcves || Karli for Nico
.。.:*☆ Living on the streets felt natural to Karli, at this point. Sure, it would be nice to have a home, sometimes. But this way, Karli could do whatever she wanted to, whenever she wanted to. And no one could force any rules or whatever onto her.
She had just managed to get herself some food, and was now heading to one of her favourite spots to hide. However, spotting someone else there, Karli froze.
“Hey!” she called out in an annoyed voice. “This is my place. Go and....” Her voice broke when Karli realized who was actually standing there. “Nico? Is that... really you?”

.。.:*☆ "Well, you have asked, and I have answered." Karli shrugged, a small sigh leaving her lips. Like, she knew it was hard. Or, well, she could imagine it, at least. Karli had died, for her there was no reason to try to return. Or, well, that was what she kept telling herself, at least.
"Also, you do have a time machine?" Well, that was an interesting piece of information now, at least. "If you used it to come here, I could try and help you repairing it, maybe." Karli therefore offered, shrugging again. "Like, not for me. But I am sure there are actually others who are trying to get back home again, as well."

“So, you are telling me that at the moment, there is no way to get back to our own timelines?” Phil asked. He mostly just wanted to make sure that he heard the other right because that just didn’t make sense. Who was powerful enough to stop time-traveling? “Wow. I didn’t even think that could be a thing, you know? Our time machine crashes all the time, it’s how we ended up in the 21st century the first time around. Trying to blend in and not seem the odd one out was very difficult. Not to mention in that time period, people seemed to have learned quite slowly.” Phil pointed out.
That put a hold on his plans now. If no one was being able to leave this time period, that meant that Phil couldn’t leave it either. At least, not for now. This is insane, you know. I literally woke up this morning and remembered all kinds of weird shit.

.。.:*☆ "She is acting like you would be a king or something..." Huddled into a corner of the cafe, Karli was nursing the coffee she'd been able to by herself from the little money she'd been making today. The waitress - actually the same one that was staring like that at Helion at this point - had even given her a sandwich for free. That was why Karli liked her so much. She was kind and polite. However, the girl's actual reaction was just a little too polite, maybe.
"Are you one?" The redhead glanced at Helion. Not caring about any social boundaries at this point that would actually not allow to ask her something like that openly. It did not matter, when Karli was all curious. "A king, I mean. Like, you do not look like a politican to me but then... what do I know, right?"
Helion paused at a street corner, his gaze scanning the bustling thoroughfare for any sign of familiarity. A nearby café caught his attention, and he veered toward it, drawn by the aroma of freshly brewed coffee. As he entered, the pleasant jingle of a bell announced his arrival.
A barista with a shock of turquoise hair looked up from behind the counter, her eyes widening at the sight of the distinguished Highlord. "Can I help you, sir?" she asked, a note of awe in her voice.
Helion offered her a charming smile, his presence seeming to illuminate the space around him. "A black coffee, please," he requested, his deep voice carrying an otherworldly timbre that piqued the barista's curiosity.

.。.:*☆ "That's an odd question to ask, you know?" Karli mused, arching an eyebrow before shrugging. At least, she figured, it was better than Phil asking how it had felt to die.
"Seriously though, do not imagine it would be a big deal in any way. I thought I would live here in Sydney, thanks to the fake memories.But surprise, that did not last forever," She made a grimace, shaking her head. "One day, my real memories came back, and it basically was like someone dropped a bucket of ice water over me. Anyway.... let us go and glue this machine of yours back together, shall we?"
Phil listened to the other talk about their old life and hummed. Well, if they had died in their own world, if they were to go back, they might not actually go back home. "Wow. So, you've been brought back to life? How did that feel?" He asked curiously. That might not be an appropriate thing to ask someone but Phil couldn't help himself. it wasn't every day that someone told you that they had died and came to life here.
"you know what. i might have pictures of it in my room! i'll take a look but it's bascally silver pieces, that look like it goes to a machinery. some should have wires attached but they aren't dangerous."

.。.:*☆ "And why do you think would that be any of your business?" Karli could not help it. The way that guy spoke to her made her getting all defensive. Maybe because, to her, it sounded like he would own this place, or something like that.
"Also, how can you ask this after wanting to know if I am the one that was calling you?" She frowned, trying to piece together his logic. "I mean, we clearly do not know each other, right? Also, I am certain you are not living here, s... how can you even think of accusing me of all of those things? From all you know, I might live in this building. But you have not considered that possibility for even a minute, right?"
@totouchthcstars (Anyone)
"So, why am I here again?" Alex asked the other curiously, not really sure why they told him to come and that it was an urgent emergency. He was pretty sure he had the right address from the text message, but then again, he might not have it. "Wait...Did you call me? Shit. I might have memorized the address down wrong and well, that would be awkward. They think I'm on the way."
Alex sighed as he walked into the building and looked around. "So, what are you doing here? Doesn't' look like much is going on here and to me, it just seems like your trespassing or trying to hide in abandoned buildings."
