Freya calls Hope weekly for a little chat even if it is just a few minutes.  Messages her school email with images of things that she finds interesting   (  once Rebekah teaches her how to email Hope and not Rebekah herself ).  While Hope went back to school after her parents died  ( for legacies canon )  it isn’t realistic that her family doesn’t contact her even a little bit.  Freya fought like hell for this small child  ( and her freedom )  so why would she just LEAVE her alone in this world?  The answer is she wouldn’t.

Rebekah often sends gifts from her travels.  It could be a box of chocolate to a diamond ring that she couldn’t pass up getting.  The gifts are always left with a note addressed to her darling niece and it is often sappy.  In a booklet in her purse,  there is a long list of places that she plans to take Hope to visit someday along with some exciting options on new adventures for the two of them to take together. Rebekah has always wanted a family of her own and while she searches for herself Hope is never out of reach in her mind.  Rebekah’s contact is less than Freya’s but monthly hour long video chats where she wants the details of her life.
