They were laying on the couch, making the most of the empty living room. Natasha on her back, using her phone, taking pictures of the situation. Carol between Natasha's legs, licking her intimacy. She didn't mind in the slightest that Natasha filmed them. A good thing to look at when either of them were away. "You taste so good," she said in an exaggerated voice, between licks.

"i kind of missed the whole star wars thing." somewhere between the therapists and trying to keep her family together, nights spent pretending she was going to be someone. there's a lot in the world that she learnt about late, like she's haunting the very life she's meant to be living, a girl ghost who never quite fit the picture on the fireplace. from her expression, she's half sure @dinopunching might faint from the admission. "other things on my mind at the time."

OH HOW THE WORLD CHANGED FAST but if there was anyone he could truly relate to outside of tony it was a fellow pilot. even if she was a literal cosmic badass. “danvers, if you’re not looking to fly out of the atmosphere too fast, how about we get a drink?” there was no expectations with her honestly, but he did want to get some time with her. they had worked together when the world went to shit even if it was worlds apart, they had been a rag tag team with the widow but they had always made it work. however, she had been out of world a lot dealing with the side of things most of them couldn’t even cross, which meant he didn’t actually know her as well as he might like to.
“one drink then you’re free to…. “ he gave a whistle as he gestured his hand upwards and then arched his brow. “no strings, no expectations to actually crack open the shell of carol danvers, just a drink. and what i think to be pretty good company if i do say so myself.” he offered out as a little cherry as if he sold it somehow, but either way he just hoped she might agree.

"You don't have to do this, you know?" / from carol to the hunter
❝ There's a great many things that people don't have to do. ❞ She points out, there's plenty that they could debate over from the way people interact with each other to what a person does in their spare time. The modern world especially was an example of what people didn't have to do, survival was different, day to day lives were different. So much more of what people did wasn't because they had to survive, because they had to.
❝ I do this because it is me, who I do and what I do; first, I was a hunter because I had to, a demon slayer out of necessity, and there are still evils to be hunt, to be taken down. Part of this, I've come to peace with, is that I like doing it. ❞ The Hunter's coming to terms that she likes being The Hunter, she likes being a hero; not necessarily for the glory, but because protecting this new world and helping people, mattered, felt good.
They smile to Carol, buckling straps up and slipping her sword into a sheath. ❝ Now are you gonna join me? ❞

WINTER THEMED STARTER CALL ( ... ) FEATURING: DINOPUNCHING AS CAROL DANVERS.
❛ at least it’s not snowing. ❜ he’s trying to think of something to say, trying to bridge the gap and offer out something of almost use to the situation, trying to ignore the fact that @dinopunching is currently in a conversation with him. and he’s landed on snow, trying not to spill every single one of his numerous questions out. ❛ the others who have worked in places with snow say it makes the rescues weird. ❜

The Doctor's In - Part 2
Wanda Maximoff x F!R
Summary: After Billy's accident, you go back to the Maximoff house to babysitt the twins.
Time works differently when you’re inside a hospital. That’s true, whether you’re a patient or a doctor.
You measure it in shifts that can extend up to 36 hours. Sometimes you go inside when the sky is dark; by the time you're done it looks exactly the same, and you wonder if the day passed at all.
What’s certain is that you will always run late. Racing around your house, you take your bag, keys and pour coffee on a thermos, carrying a pop tart in your mouth.
You’re so worried with making sure you have everything, you don’t even notice Wanda is at the door until you crash against her.
“I’m so sorry!” you say, the coffee spilling all over your scrubs.
“Oh, my Gosh, is it hot? Are you ok?”
“It’s cold, no worries. Let me get changed, wanna come in?”
You walk back, finding some clean scrubs on a basket near the stairs. Thank God you did your laundry yesterday.
“What’s up, Wands?” you say, changing in the same room. You’re extremely late and can’t afford to go upstairs.
Wanda looks at your smooth skin and toned muscles and blushes, looking away.
“Oh… I… wanted to give you this. Billy drew it the other day. It’s supposed to be you in the hospital”
“That’s so cute” you walk up to her, looking at the drawing over her shoulder. “How’s the arm?”
“It’s good, he’s just itchy”
“Yeah, that happens. Can I keep it?” you ask and she hands you the paper. You put in on the fridge door, a magnet securing the drawing in its place. “I’d love to chat but I gotta run”
Wanda glares when you pick another pop-tart.
“Is that what you call breakfast?”
“I’m late!” you protest with a laugh, taking a bite on your way out.
“Well, come by anytime if you want to have some real food” she offers and you nod, smiling as you get into the car. “Oh, shoot! I forgot to ask. I need a baking tray to put some extra cookies, you wouldn’t happen to have one?”
“It’s your lucky day, my mom gave me one I never use. It’s supposed to be somewhere in the cupboard. There’s a spare key in that ceramic turtle”
“Oh, are you sure? I could come back later”
“No, it’s ok. As a matter of fact, keep it, in case you need anything else” you smile, groaning when your pager goes off again. “Ugh, gotta run! Say thanks to Billy for me”
“Will do” she waves, smiling as you practically put the entire pop-tart in your mouth.
Wanda ignores the regret she feels over not asking for what she really wanted. It wasn’t a baking tray, but some time with you.
—
“Is that your pager or mine?” you say, moaning when Carol’s lips travel lower, pulling your pants down.
“It can wait” she says, leaving open mouthed kisses as you part your legs, your fingers threading through her locks.
“The word emergency is in my job description” you say, reaching out and sighing with relief. “It’s yours”
“Is it 911?”
“Nope”
“Good. Now shut up and let me eat your pussy” Carol says, her tongue darting out to taste you, your hips canting up to move against her mouth.
“Fuck” you say, breathless as you ride Carol’s face. She leaves her place between your legs and you’re about to protest when you feel two fingers stretching you.
“Shhh” she says against your mouth, letting you taste yourself in her lips. “Be quiet for me”
You try to stay quiet, but almost let out a moan when someone knocks on the door of the on call room.
“Doctor Danvers?”
“In a minute” she says, a hand over your mouth. Her fingers pump in and out of you faster and the idea of someone waiting on the other side adds to the thrill. You reach your orgasm with a muffled cry.
“You good?” Carol says with a smile, standing up to get her clothes.
All you can do is nod, waiting for your breathing to go back to normal.
“See you later, pretty girl” she kisses your cheek, going out to meet the resident that was looking for her.
It was cliche, hooking up with someone at the hospital, but of course you had needs and no time to fulfill them outside of this building.
The fact that Carol wasn’t looking for anything serious helped too.
No feelings, no complications.
The rest of your shift goes surprisingly quiet, but you’re still urged to go home when Chief Fury comes across you in the hallway.
Since you leave on time and very well rested, you decide to go for a run as soon as you get home. You enjoy the physical exertion and being outdoors, appreciating the beautiful sunset as you jog around the neighbourhood.
It’s barely getting dark when you reach home, Wanda outside talking on the phone. You wave, but the tense smile she gives back makes you walk to her house instead of yours.
“Everything ok?” you ask as soon as she hangs up.
“Yeah, I had this thing but the nanny cancelled last minute”
“Oh, that sucks, I’m sorry” you look back to your place, and then your eyes meet hers. “Why don’t I take care of the twins for you?”
“I couldn’t possibly ask you to… you just got back from work, you’re probably tired”
“It was an easy shift, for once. Plus, I gather they don’t stay up too late, right?”
“No, it would only be two hours, three tops” she promises and you nod.
“It’s settled then, let me just take a shower real quick”
Wanda nods, her eyes raking over your body. She suddenly wished you’d go for runs more often, as you tend to wear really short shorts that show your toned legs.
“I can’t thank you enough” she says, going back to reality.
“Pancakes are always a good call” you wink, going across the street to your place. “Be right back!”
As you shower and change into more comfortable clothes, a part of you gets nervous over babysitting Billy and Tommy. Sure, you were good when you did your rounds in Peeds, but that didn’t mean anything compared to spending an evening making sure they were entertained enough.
Either way, you can’t back out now, so you cross the street, knocking on Wanda’s door. You’re taken aback by how beautiful she looks with a red skirt and red turtleneck sweater, knee high boots completing the outfit.
“You look amazing” you say, forcing yourself to look at her eyes, but it’s not any better, the make up enhancing her features and those striking green eyes.
“Thank you” she says shyly and you nod, not trusting yourself with your words. Wanda moves aside to let you in and you find Billy and Tommy in the living room.
“Hey, kiddos” you greet and they look at you excitedly.
“Hey, Y/N. Are you gonna hang with us?”
“Yeah, of course! We’ll have some fun” you ruffle Tommy’s hair, and inspect Billy’s cast. “Woah, someone has a lot of stickers”
“All of my classmates gave me one! I still have some space here, wanna pick one out?” the boy says, and you smile. Yeah, he moved on from the scared stage to being the cool kid with the broken arm at school.
“Of course, I’ll have to find some cool sticker in my collection” you promise.
Wanda leads you to the kitchen, showing you around. Your mouth waters at the smell of the pasta she made.
“I won’t be gone for long. They’re supposed to be in bed at 9 but I know they’ll get excited because you’re here so I’ll leave it up to you to decide”
“Alright. I’ll try my best to be the adult in the room”
“And remember…”
“No candy after 8” you repeat and Wanda chuckles.
“I can’t thank you enough, seriously” she says, walking towards the door.
“Not a problem”
The boys go say goodbye to their mom, and you think it’s adorable how they hug her and each give her a kiss on the cheek.
Wanda waves goodbye and you close the door, blushing as you appreciate one last time how amazing she looks in that outfit.
“So, what do the Maximoffs do for fun around here?”
“We watch movies or play videogames”
“Oh, like what? Crash, Spyro?” you say excitedly, because you love videogames and it’s been ages since you’ve played.
“What’s a Spyro?” Billy says, confused.
“What? Dude!”
“Dude!” the twins turn to each other, speaking at the same time. Oh, no.
“Damn it” you curse and they repeat that too. You cover your mouth with your hands, afraid of letting out another word that is way worse. “Alright, don’t speak like that. Only adults can say certain words”
“But Mom doesn’t speak that way either”
“That’s because she’s a very mature person. Come on, I’ll show you the best videogame ever”
While you wait for the game to download on their console, Tommy shows you around the house, Billy close behind.
“Can we have dinner before playing?”
“Sure” you nod, going back to the kitchen where you take plates, serving pasta and juice for the twins while you settle on a can of soda.
“Your mom is the best cook, I swear” you say with your mouth full, making the kids laugh. It’s been forever since you’ve had a homemade meal.
“Do you cook?”
“God, no. My talents are limited to medicine, Billy”
“So, do you eat hospital food?” Tommy says, grossed out and you laugh.
“We have a cafeteria and the food is ok, plus I forget to eat most of the time anyway. But seriously, your mom’s food is to die for. That’s just an expression, obviously”
“She made cookies. Can we have some?”
You look at the clock, and it’s almost 8.
“Alright, one for each”
The twins cheer, eating their pasta and asking you questions, most of them innocent, until…
“Why don’t you have kids?”
You choke on your drink, the boy blissfully unaware of how awkward you feel.
“Oh, well, Tommy… being a surgeon takes a long time. You have to go to school for a lot of years and then work at a hospital. So, there’s not a lot of time left to do other stuff”
Please don’t ask me how babies are made.
Thankfully, the questions stop once you give them a cookie, and they munch on them as you set up the game.
“He’s a dragon!” Billy says, amazed at the little purple creature prancing around the screen. They laugh when Sparks eats the butterflies and you can’t help the grin that’s on your face, remembering your childhood and how you used to spend your days playing.
“Your turn” you hand the control to Tommy, showing him the basic commands. Billy leans against you, asking some questions about the game.
You hold the control on the right side so he can push the buttons on the left once it’s his turn, enjoying the way they celebrate each time they get a chest full of diamonds.
The music of the game is very soothing, and after an hour playing, they’re both struggling to keep their eyes open. One glance at the clock tells you it’s 9:30, so the timing is perfect.
“Anyone tired?”
“No” Tommy lies.
“Really? I was thinking of trying out how strong I am, carrying both of you upstairs”
That makes them giddy and before they can run away, you carry them over your shoulders. The twins kick and scream, laughing as you go up the stairs.
“I’m so strong” you say as you reach the final step, trying to hide how out of breath you are.
“Now go down the stairs!"
“Uh, pass. Brush your teeth, come on” you say.
“Can we wait for mommy to be back?” Billy says before going inside the bathroom.
“Sure thing. Change into your PJs and we’ll read a story while we wait for her”
Of course, by the time they’re tucked in and you’re reading from the book Tommy choose, both boys are struggling to stay awake.
By 9:45 you leave their room quietly, closing the door behind you and going back to the first floor.
Your body is finally catching up to the exhaustion of the day, but you clean the kitchen and scroll through your phone, reading updates for patients and a text from Carol asking about your next shift.
Just when you’re about to answer her, the front door opens. At first, Wanda makes some noise, but upon seeing the quiet in the house, she closes the door softly, removing her boots.
“Hey” you say, leaning against the wall, hands on your pockets. “Had fun?”
“Uh, sorta” Wanda makes a face and you raise an eyebrow. “It was a blind date that went horribly wrong”
“I’m sorry”
“Don’t be” she walks up to you, and you appreciate how short she is, without the heels she’s always wearing. “The restaurant was awful, he was an ass, and I am never ever letting my coworkers set me up with someone again”
You laugh at that, shrugging your shoulders.
“That sucks, especially the part about the food”
“Yeah. I’ll just grab whatever from the fridge”
“Ok. The kids are asleep. We had dinner, played some games and they wanted to wait up for you but it was almost 10. I’ll... uh, leave you to it” you get distracted by the way Wanda bites on a strawberry, your eyes going to her lips.
“Oh, yeah, of course. You must be tired” she says and your mind must be playing you tricks because she sounds disappointed.
You make a face, waiting for her to elaborate.
“Sorry, I just… would you stay while I eat? It would be nice to have pleasant company while I pretend this date never happened”
“Sure. I can definitely have more of your pasta”
This time, Wanda pulls out a bottle of red wine, and you enjoy the taste of it along with the food she made. It feels like the fanciest meal you’ve had in ages, even if it’s just at your neighbours kitchen.
“What about you?” Wanda says between bites.
“What about me?”
“Do you date?” she says with a smile, sipping from her glass.
“No, not really. It’s hard to do it with my crazy work hours. And I’m not sure I’d date another surgeon”
“Why not?”
“Some of them are batshit crazy” you say, making Wanda laugh.
“Oh, this is the first time I’ve laughed this evening”
“Happy to be of service" you raise your glass. "I’m gonna be a doctor for a second and feed my curiosity. Who else has twins in your family?”
“Me”
“What?”
You’ve met her for two years and somehow, you never knew this?
“Yeah, I have a twin brother. He lives across the country” Wanda says.
“That sounds nice. Not the living away part, but having someone to grow up with” you say, thinking about your own childhood. Wanda waits for you to look up, and you explain yourself. “I was an only child, but then my mom remarried when I was eleven. She and her husband had more children but, I don’t know, I never felt part of it”
“Was it something they did?” Wanda says with a soft voice, her hand coming closer to yours.
“Uh, no. My mom’s really nice, and I’m sure she didn’t do anything on purpose… but of course you’ll turn your focus to your youngest children, that’s how it works. I try to be around but it doesn’t feel like I belong. So I’m better at the hospital, working the days away”
“I’m sorry”
“It’s fine, really. Maybe I’ll return her calls one of these days”
“Wow, now I feel special because you answer my texts” she jokes and you nod.
“You are special, Wanda”
The woman blushes, you biting your lip at the beautiful shade of red tinting her cheeks.
In spite of yourself, the alcohol relaxes you and you let out a yawn.
“Someone’s past their bed time”
“Yeah, yeah” you rub your eyes, standing up to wash the dishes.
“Let me” Wanda says, standing between you and the sink. For a moment, you consider pulling her closer and kissing her, but it’s probably the sleep depravation, or the alcohol making you delusional.
“Thanks, Wanda” you stay close, your eyes never leaving her face.
“Thank you, for taking care of them”
“Anytime” you nod, taking a step back before you act on your feelings.
“Text me when you’re home?” Wanda asks and you laugh.
“I live across the street”
“Yeah, but you had wine and you’re tired, one never knows in these cases”
“Fine” you linger on the threshold of the door, smiling as she looks at you. “Night, Wanda”
You wait until you’re home to pull out your phone, smiling as you type.
Y/N: Just got home. Traffic was horrible!
Wanda: Very funny.
Y/N: :)
Wanda: Night, Y/N

A soft smile of adoration pulled on her lips when Kate talked about Kamala's antics; of course the girl would pick the most insane way possible to induct someone into a society of superheroes. The next Nick Fury, she was sure of it. Part of her could see so much of the agent in the teenager, a budding leader if she ever saw it. Carol was less of a leader, more happy to do what she was told if it meant she got to save a life or two. Part of being a soldier that she never shook, she supposed. It was difficult to see herself leading anyone when she failed so miserably so many times.
"Remind me to talk to her about how she approaches people," Carol offered with a laugh and a slight teasing crinkle of her nose. She'd talk to the younger girl in time, maybe make some light suggestions and guide her in Fury's direction for the real pep talk — though she had an inkling that Fury's tactics weren't much better.
The other's response to her question was disappointing, but she should have already known that as more of Kate's file came back to her. An archer. No special powers. No super genius abilities. The other was smart, she had no doubts about that, but what Carol needed was the next Tony Stark, a mind that can literally invent something like time travel. She needed a way to open a specific tear in space without affecting the entire galaxy and shooting arrows at the stars just wasn't going to cut it. "It's okay," the blonde assured her with a shake of her head. "I lost someone recently and getting her back... it's gonna take a little more than an arrow to do the trick and everyone seems to be scrambling after losing a brain as big as Stark's."
Carol's soft chuckle after Kate's miswording of Nick Fury, gave the archer a breath of relief. Okay well at least she doesn't think I'm a total loser. Though she was sure she'd soon unwillingly show the legendary Captain Marvel just how awkward of a loser she really was.
Kate could practically see the blond think about her question before answering, like she needed a second to be sure of the answer she was going to give. "Well, I for one would like to see ya around more." Her lips curled into a soft smile. Kamala had told her bits and pieces about how Carol didn't truly settle anywhere. Just maybe though, she would come to see them - her as family. Since well, Kate didn't have one anymore.
"Oh she's definitely that." She agreed with a chuckle. Kamala had to have been the easiest person in the world to like. And that alone, was a super power. "I mean, does letting herself into my apartment and sitting creepily in the dark awaiting my arrival make me one of hers? Then yeah, I guess I am." She beamed. Kate had gotta give it to Kamala though, she had a way of talking people into something before they even had a second to think about it.
Kate raised a in thought eyebrow, a faraway expression in her eyes. "I mean.. I know the names of all the planets?" Unfortunately, she got the feeling that was not the sort of information that Carol would need or make any use of. "What a lack in space knowledge, I make up for in archery skills." Now that was something she could boast about. "Sorry though.. I feel like I ain't gonna be much use to whatever you're in need of help of."

Carol watched Natasha getting dressed with intent. She loved the view and the memories of the night before would stay in her mind. She pointed at a piece of fabric she spoted on the floor. “It’s there. Not that I would’ve minded if you wore my clothes either.”

Hii, can you something for Carol Danvers where she and female reader are soulmates, and Carol had to rescue reader from being held hostage (maybe something like the first time they make eye contact or physical touch they know theyre soulmates)? And also maybe fluff, or angst then fluff? Thank yoouuu :)
Bound By Starlight
Carol Danvers x Reader
Summary: Carol rescues you, her soulmate, from being held hostage. The moment they make eye contact, they both feel an undeniable connection.
Words: 1117
The room was dim, shadows clinging to every corner, and the air felt suffocating. You had been held hostage for what felt like an eternity, your hands bound tightly behind your back, the ropes digging into your wrists. The air was thick with tension and fear, but despite the terror of the situation, your mind kept drifting to the one thing that had sustained you throughout the ordeal—hope. Hope that someone would come for you.
As you sat in the cold, damp room, waiting for whatever fate lay ahead, you clung to the belief that you weren’t truly alone. You had always known, deep down, that there was someone out there for you—your soulmate. You could feel it, that invisible thread that connected you to another person. It was a sensation you couldn’t explain, but it had always been there, like a quiet hum in the back of your mind.
Now, in your darkest moment, that hum was stronger than ever, thrumming in your veins, urging you to hold on just a little longer.
Suddenly, the silence was broken by the sound of an explosion in the distance. The walls shook, dust raining down from the ceiling. Your heart leapt in your chest—was this it? Was someone finally coming?
Footsteps echoed down the hallway, heavy and purposeful. You held your breath, straining to hear, hoping, praying that it wasn’t one of your captors.
Then, the door was thrown open with a bang, and a figure stepped into the room, framed by the flickering light from the corridor. At first, you couldn’t make out much—just the outline of a woman, strong and powerful, her presence commanding the space.
But as she stepped closer, her face illuminated by the light, your breath caught in your throat.
Carol Danvers.
You had seen her on the news, heard the stories about Captain Marvel, the intergalactic hero who fought to protect Earth and the galaxy beyond. But seeing her now, in person, was different. Her presence was magnetic, her strength palpable, but there was something else—something that made your heart skip a beat.
Your eyes met, and in that split second, everything changed.
The world seemed to stop, the air between you crackling with an energy you had never felt before. It was as if time itself slowed down, and in that moment, you knew. You knew.
Carol’s eyes widened, and you saw the exact moment she felt it too—that undeniable connection, that pull. Her lips parted slightly in surprise, her expression shifting from determination to something softer, something filled with wonder.
Neither of you moved for a heartbeat, both frozen in the intensity of the moment. Then, without a word, Carol crossed the room in a few swift strides, her hand reaching out to touch you.
The moment her fingers brushed against your skin, it was like lightning coursing through your body. A warmth spread through you, chasing away the fear, the pain, the cold. Her touch was grounding, electrifying, and you knew, without a doubt, that she was your soulmate.
Carol’s hand lingered on your arm for a moment before she pulled out a knife and quickly cut through the ropes binding your wrists. You winced as the circulation returned to your hands, but the pain was quickly forgotten when Carol gently took your hands in hers, inspecting the marks the ropes had left behind.
Her touch was tender, her thumb brushing softly over your skin, and when she looked up at you, her eyes were filled with something you had never expected to see—concern, care, and a fierce protectiveness.
“I’m getting you out of here,” she said softly, her voice steady but laced with emotion. “You’re safe now.”
You nodded, unable to find the words to respond. Your heart was still racing, not just from the danger, but from the overwhelming sensation of being near her, of knowing what she meant to you.
As Carol helped you to your feet, you felt the weight of the situation settle over you. You were still in danger, still in the middle of a rescue mission, but with Carol by your side, everything felt different. Safer. Like you were finally where you were meant to be.
She led you out of the room, her hand never leaving yours as the two of you navigated the dark, winding hallways. The sounds of battle echoed around you, but Carol kept you close, her body tense and ready for anything. You could feel the energy radiating off of her, the barely-contained power that she wielded with such control.
It wasn’t long before the two of you emerged into the open air, the cool breeze washing over your face. Carol quickly guided you toward a waiting Quinjet, where the rest of the Avengers stood, ready to help.
As you climbed aboard, your legs trembling from exhaustion and adrenaline, Carol turned to you, her eyes searching yours. There was a question there, unspoken but clear.
You nodded, giving her a small, shaky smile. “I’m okay,” you assured her, though your voice was still unsteady.
Carol hesitated for a moment, then cupped your face gently in her hands, her touch grounding you once again. “I’ll never let anything happen to you,” she promised, her voice low and filled with a quiet intensity. “Not ever.”
Your breath hitched at the weight of her words, at the sheer sincerity behind them. This woman—this incredible, powerful woman—was your soulmate. And she had just saved your life.
The flight back to the compound was quiet, but it wasn’t the uncomfortable silence of before. Instead, it was filled with a newfound understanding, a connection that neither of you needed to put into words. Carol sat beside you, her hand resting on your knee, a constant reminder that she was there, that she wasn’t going anywhere.
When the Quinjet landed, Carol escorted you inside, her hand never leaving yours. You felt the weight of her presence beside you, her strength, her calm assurance. It was like you were finally whole, the missing piece of your soul fitting perfectly into place now that you had found her.
Once inside, Carol led you to a quiet room, away from the chaos and noise of the compound. She sat beside you on the couch, her eyes never leaving yours.
“I didn’t expect this,” she admitted softly, her voice barely above a whisper. “But I’m glad it’s you.”
You smiled, tears pricking at the corners of your eyes. “I’m glad it’s you too.”
For a moment, neither of you spoke, just basking in the warmth of each other’s presence. Then, with a soft sigh, Carol wrapped her arm around your shoulders, pulling you close.
You rested your head against her, feeling the steady rise and fall of her chest, the quiet hum of her energy surrounding you. You were safe now, and you knew that no matter what happened next, you wouldn’t face it alone.
Because you had her. Your soulmate.
And she would always protect you.

As much as I loved The Marvels, I do wish we had gotten to see Carol's childhood trauma explored a little bit more. It didn't really click with me when I saw the original Captain Marvel (my media literacy wasn't great back then), but this is a character who was literally brainwashed and turned into a super-soldier. That's not gonna be good for the ol' noggin.
And in The Marvels, we get that one scene where she's like "yeah I use a device that zaps my brain while I sleep to try and recover my memories" and then it's never brought up again. Which I get because this movie already had enough plot threads to tie up, but still, it made me want to see her actually have to confront the trauma of what she's been through personally, and the things she's lost being Captain Marvel.
Carol Danvers doesn't get to show up on screen that often, which on paper makes sense because her power level is so through the roof that she can make a lot of plot points seem irrelevant. But every time we do get to see her, it makes me want to see more of her character.

@heartsbreaking. ♡
❝ hey, not your fault you don't have super stamina. but i like the sound of showering together. ❞ she threw the brunette a quick smirk before tossing her legs over the side fo the bed, stretching her arms above her head. she remembers putting on a shirt sometime in the night, but she'd have to dress herself properly for going out. it wasn't often she was actually staying somewhere where she got to chance to be this... domestic. so she got her workout where she could, when she could. carol's life was absolute chaos. she was appreciatiave of marina's willingness to work around it, with her. ❝ alright, don't go back to sleep, sleeping beauty. i'll come back nice and sweaty for you. ❞ she playfully pulled on her foot before walking towards the bathroom so she could wash her face and get ready for the day.
gibberish worked for her, it was probably a mix of the two languages and some nonsense thrown in. that wouldn't surprise her. god, carol was so beautiful even when she'd just woken up. "oh it is, it was life changing." she would give up her good mattress to go to space though, that was for certain. marina would squeeze any detail she could about space later, but for now she'd focus on the present. the mention of pancakes made her mouth water. "that sounds amazing. i don't want to slow you down. i'll wait here and we can shower together if you want though." it took a little bit more warm up for her knee to want to work well enough for a run, even with the brace that now sat next to the bed. she didn't particularly feel like she was missing out, morning runs were never her thing, it was just the companionship she'd miss today.

Carol Danvers x sibling!reader - always come for you
Would I be able to request an MCU imagine where Carol and the reader are siblings, but R struggles with (TW) depression and during a particularly bad depressive episode where R is self destructive when on missions, Carol realises what’s going on and tries to help R? - @jamiedc-they-them 💜
TW: mentions of depression and self destructive behaviour
Pulling your gun out, you didn’t bother aiming your shots, you just fired knowing that your shots would make their mark.
“It was supposed to be a silent infiltration!”
You ignored the voice over the coms, and and you made your way inside.
Tossing your gun aside, you picked up a different one from the floor, checking it out before nodding your head in approval.
It wasn’t a hard mission, quick in and out with what you needed, that was all.
When you made your way back to your car, you place a hand on your side, grumbling a little when you felt it was wet.
“Get your ass back here.”
Raising your hand to your ear you took the com out, tossing it into your bag and you made your way back to base.
You ignored the pain that was slowly spreading across your side, and you walked towards the office you needed, letting yourself.
“Agent Danvers, what a nice surprise.” Fury said.
“Before you give me shit, here.”
You dug through your bag, pulling out some papers you put them on his desk and gestured for him to take a look.
“There’s more bases, I assume that one of these will have the information you want.”
“How long until they find out about that one?” Maria asked.
You shook your head a little, leaning against the wall with a small grumble of pain.
“Couldn’t tell you, maybe a month, they didn’t check on that one often.”
“Right, okay. Now are we going to talk about that stunt you pulled?”
Pushing yourself up, you opened to door, glancing to your sister who was just about to knock on it and she smiled at you.
“Busy.” Was all you said.
With that, you moved past her, heading to your office.
Closing the blinds, you turned on your lamp and turned it so the light was hitting your side and slowly pulled up your shirt.
The bullet thankfully hadn’t lodged itself into you, it had just grazed you so it was easy enough to fix.
Rummaging through the cabinet you pulled out a bottle of vodka, and you grabbed a needle and thread you kept nearby.
Setting it all down on your desk, you rolled up your shirt, carefully inspecting the wound to make sure it was something you could deal with yourself.
Grabbing the bottle, you opened it and went to pour it over the found.
“Don’t you even think about it.”
Carol stormed over snatching the bottle from you.
“Alright I’ll just stand out and bleed out I don’t care.”
“Let’s go, now.”
Carol dragged you to a different office where your wound was properly tended to, and then she dragged you back to your office.
She closed the door and turned to face you, blocking your exit.
“Seriously? A stealth mission and you start shooting at everybody that moves?”
“I had to get the information Carol, before anything happened to it.” You said.
She sighed slightly.
“(Y/N), this isn’t the only time you’ve been hurt on a mission. You’re going to get yourself killed.”
“Carol, it’s fine really. You know this line of work has danger element.”
“Yeah, when you’re working in a dangerous situation. You’re an expert at infiltration, your powers turn you invisible you don’t need to be seen.”
You shrugged a little, slowly sitting down in your chair as you began to look through some of the files on your desk.
You set one of them down and picked up another one, grabbing your pen to carry on your work.
“I’m worried about you, Fury told me everything (Y/N), and it’s not like you. You’re careful.”
“I’m in a rush Carol, if you’re just here to tell me off then go away.”
She sighed again, walking over she sat on your desk, crossing her arms as she looked down at you.
She could see the small scar on the side of your face, and how you struggled with your left arm and kept rubbing at your shoulder.
It was signs she recognised all before.
“When we were younger, you climbed up a tree, as high as you could not caring if you fell.” She said.
“Okay?”
“A few weeks later we found out you had severe depression. Every time it go worse you would do more and more reckless things with no regard for your own safety.”
You set your pen down, leaning back down in the chair.
“What about it Carol? I do my therapy, I have my prescriptions and all of that.”
“You don’t take them though.”
“It’s my choice if I want to take them.”
She nodded her head.
“I know, but everybody is worried. Fury called me because he’s worried that you’re going to get yourself killed somehow and he’s going to have to tell me. Hell (Y/N), I’m worried about your going to get yourself killed.”
“I can handle myself.”
“Clearly, that’s why you got shot.”
You pushed yourself up, making your way towards the door.
“I’m not listening to this crap.”
“Wait! Okay!”
Carol rushed over, gently taking your hand in hers.
“Please, I’m worried. I don’t want to lose you, we’re family…”
You sighed.
“I know Carol… but it’s not that simple… I can’t.. I can’t help this..”
Carol gently hugged you, mindful of your recent injury.
“I know… that’s why I want to help you somehow…”
You rested your head on your shoulder.
“But for now… no more missions… okay…?” She whispered.
You nodded your head in agreement, knowing either way you weren’t going to be allowed back into missions any time soon anyway.
And maybe it was for the best.
“You’ll stay until I get better…?”
“Yeah, of course…”
She was terrified because she knew how bad things could get, and usually she was always there. Now she’s all over the universe and Carol is scared on day she’s going to miss that call and it’ll be too late

❝ carol, ❞ she adds, with the slightest tone of amusement to her voice. ❝ humans have names, too. ❞ it was far better to have him call her by her name than human. though, given her experience dealing with other races, she was used to people using it as if it was some kind of insult. carol never took it that way. carol had places to be, too, but she's far too curious about this angel. could anyone ever claim to have met an angel? probably. but, it doesn't happen all that often.
❝ there. ❞ she points towards a golden looking orb not that far from where they were. it was one of those over-the-top resort planets, where the rich went for vacations. not really her type of thing, but it was good for a stop. and no one would ask too many questions. she didn't wait for him to acknowledge he got it before she set off, the energy trail she leaves behind and her glow following her as she flies towards the planet. she lands on the capitol city, glancing around.
then there he was, and she let out a sound. ❝ do you do that often? ❞ she heard the sound of flapping wings, but it wasn't like a bird or... well, anything she knew. she's looking at him like he's a book she can't put down. ❝ come on. they do pretty decent drinks over at the hotel bar. i could go for a solar blowout. ❞ it's so weird, walking with an angel. hardly the weirdest thing, but so weird. she kept glancing at his back, fascinated by... well, everything about him. there were just so many questions she wanted to ask; carol had been raised catholic, but she wasn't exactly the practising kind. now, here she was.
funny how these things work.
"ANGELS HAVE NAMES, YES," he responds, a little tight-lipped after she corrected him. You don't just compliment an angel's wings and then kinda take it back. That's like telling a human their hairstyle looks fantastic just to add that you don't mean it like that. Humans are ridiculously proud of their silly keratin fibers, and, well, angels might be a little silly about their wings. You probably can't understand that if you don't have wings yourself.
He squints at her again, taking in the aura, the strange energy, and thinks that an infinity stone might explain the weirdness. He has never paid attention to these ugly stones of energy, but he knows that a lot of cultures went bonkers over them. Temptation. Humanity is unable to handle that.
"My name is Castiel," he reveals eventually, "and I cannot tell you where I'm headed, human. But I have enough time to make a little detour. Where do you want to go?"
