Bowen chose to wait for Violet to get up out of bed before surprising her with his Valentine’s gift… or rather the first of it. He had wanted to make the most of this day with her, plans of going out and just having fun well on his mind.

When he saw her, he was blushing, but happy.

Off the table he picked up a very decadent box of chocolates, to present to her! They look to be of very high quality too.

“Happy Valentine’s Day, Violet!” He greeted. “These are all for you!”

She didn’t even have the chance to change out of her pjs before he approached her, box already in his hand & she still mid yawn.

“Huh?” Chocolate? Valentine’s Day? What’s he on about? “Uhh... thanks?” She’s confused, but also isn’t going to say no to free chocolate, certainly not chocolate that seemed rather pricy by the looks of it.

Despite her strong hesitancy of going anywhere near water deeper then 5 feet, Violet is putting her faith that Bowen will not try to pull her into any deep water. If the waterline starts getting close to her neck, she getting uncomfortably nervous.

Still, it's a beach, there's other things to do beside just swim, there's a packed picnic she brought for them, the sand... & whatever else is around the beach he's taking her too. She's never been there before, so she has no idea...

Violet managed to get her hands on a black bikini before the date, considering she didn't have any before, the joys of having nothing but the armor on her back when she left her home, you know? But for a hot day, somehow still even warm at sunset, in a hot environment like a beach, it was welcomed to have such a little amount of clothing on.

Yeah, it wasn’t going to be fancy… at all, very much the oppsite. The blonde had fast food set on his mind, the fastest of the fast (fact check). What better food to have on his birthday?

There wasn’t much dressing up required for this occasion, but if she wanted to, he wasn’t going to stop her.

Yet even so, he wasn’t prepared for what she came out with.

That floral dress, with the pink top, the dark purple shoes and her stockings. He was left silent for a few seconds, that ever known blush returning to his features.

“W..wow, you look amazing!” He commented at first, nodding before heading over to lock both doors, returning to her after.

“Right, let’s go!”

Man, it was a very nice day too!

The compliment served to put a smile on her face. Like she had said, it wasn’t something overly fancy, just different from her usual style. It’s his birthday, anyway, she was trying to at least not look like some chick that never got out of her rebellious teenager phase.

“Yeah.” She nodded, & was ready to head out after him.

“So, uh, where are we going anyway?”

He could tell by the look on her face. This was a challenge in itself, taking her into the water like this. Granted, they were as deep as he wanted them to be, the water just up to their chests, or rather, more so hers than his, considering how taller he is, but it was perfect.

Of course he wasn’t going to let her drown. He just wanted to experience the water with her, in a safe way anyway. He was not keen on going any deeper, then it wouldn’t be as fun. This wasn’t to be a swimming exercise, for one thing. But now that they were at the perfect spot. This was where he wanted them to be.

“Hey, it’s okay, we ain’t going any further.” He answered, gently, as he moved to hold her properly. “I just wanted to go this far, so we can enjoy this together. I got you, alright?”

A pause, a thought coming to him. “Hey, I got an idea…”

“Yeah... maybe you enjoy it. I’m just thinking a big wave is gonna crash into us.”

She didn’t mean to sound like such a downer, but she had a habit of speaking her mind, more so around people she’s comfortable with, & that was all she could really think about. Always just imagining different ways she could pulled into drowning, despite the height of the water not even going past her bosom completely.

It was... embarrassing, not knowing how to swim, & being spooked enough by it to think of all these different ways that water could get her killed. Of all the things to be embarrassed by, it was her own lacking ability to swim....

And when Bowen said he had an idea, only one thing came to her mind, given the situation.

“... Please don’t tell me you want to give me a impromptu swimming lesson.”

The blonde laughed a bit. One of these days they’ll have to go do something fancy together. There weren’t really any fancy restaurants close, but the city was bound to have a few. He imagined she had something well in mind for this date, the excitement growing further.

Cheeks heated upon feeling her kiss, but he nodded. “Alright, I’ll be just out the front.” Such a wide, bright smile he had!

She had to give a moment of thought. She wanted to put on something nice of Bowen’s birthday, but he said nothing too fancy. Was what she had in mind to fancy then? Hmm...

Well, she figured if it was a little too fancy, Bowen would tell her so.

So, Violet went into her dresser, & pulled out a dark purple colored floral cami dress, with a pink short sleeved top. Something light for the warm weather. Flat dark purple shoes too, & of course, her signature magenta colored stockings.

Quickly, Violet was ready to go & headed outside to met up with Bowen.
