            low, amused laughter sounded clear in the air as the frost spirit entertained himself by bothering what looked to be a... chicken? yep, it was definitely a chicken. he couldn’t help himself. every time the chicken did something silly, he laughed. right now the chicken was trapped in a small mound of soft snow.                         he didn’t appear to know how to get out.

                                    『 ❝ you’re a weird bird, you know that? ❞ 』

            he chuckled again, prodding the chicken with the crook of his staff.

            it wasn’t the first time he’d been to Arendelle. he’d passed through the Kingdom once or twice on his travels before. he had never really stayed too long though. places to go and things to freeze and all that. but it was a nice enough place. the people always seemed pretty happy and he enjoyed watching them.             this time, however, he was there only because he needed a nice place to think. things had been a little rough for him lately and the frost spirit was starting to feel those familiar senses of loneliness he thought he had gotten past a while ago.                         it looked like he was wrong.

                                    『 ❝ I don’t suppose YOU have answers, huh? ❞ 』

            he murmured quietly to himself, gazing up at the moon with a quiet huff. MiM didn’t talk much.

            he’d been shadowing the guy for some time now, just watching him from a distance. he didn’t know why he was particularly interested in him. maybe it was just his curiosity getting the better of him. or maybe Jack was just bored.             regardless of the reasoning, the frost spirit decided to see if he could get a reaction out of the other. anything at all really. so he flew over to him, hovering just above his head before blocking the other’s view with an upside-down look at his face { granted he could see him }.

            if there was one thing Jack enjoyed doing when it came to his season, it was making frost patterns on windows and trees. but, most of the time, his designs went ignored. he didn’t blame people for ignoring them, but that didn’t mean it still didn’t hurt a little.             he’d gotten used to it by now, though, so it didn’t really have the same impact it had at first.

            sighing deeply, the winter spirit reached out and brushed his fingers over another window, watching with a small, fond smile as frost patterns erupted where they touched.

                                      『 ❝ whoa, you’re kinda big, aren’t you? ❞ 』

            the Guardian blinked, staring up at the creature before him with a mix of awe and mild concern. it wasn’t that he was afraid or anything. he was actually not really afraid at all. he knew what he was capable of and how to defend himself, after all. it was just a little... unsettling.

                                      『 ❝ you’re not gonna eat me, right? I’m not edible. ❞ 』

                                      『 ❝ you know, if you’re not careful... I’m not responsible                                              for any possible snowballs aimed at you. ❞ 』

            he’d been watching the other for a while now, just studying and watching. he hadn’t said a word the whole time. but, as was per usual with Jack, he got bored of that quickly and opted to try a different approach. unfortunately for the other guy, that meant a possible snowball to the face if the spirit so decided to.

                                      『 ❝ hey, you okay? ❞ 』

            the snow-haired teen frowned softly, reaching out a hand to help the other up after he had, unintentionally ran into her when he wasn’t paying too much attention to where he was going. it happened every now and then because Jack tending to get easily distracted. at least she didn’t look injured in any way, but he had to be sure.

                                      『 ❝ sorry about that... ❞ 』

            unfortunately, by the time he’d shouted out the warning, it was too late. the snowball went soaring through the air, seeking out a victim to pelt with cold, snowy vengeance. he really had to be careful when he threw those... sometimes it was like they had minds of their own and people often suffered the consequences.

                                      『 ❝ sorry in advance! ❞ 』

            he called out again a moment later, bracing himself.

            something Jack could greatly appreciate. after all, considering what he did for fun, it was no wonder he’d be drawn to the energy that seemed to radiate off the other girl. there was a certain... spark in her eyes that reminded him of himself. and it wasn’t often he met someone he could relate to quite like that.
