7. An AU in which our muses are both servants, running away from the evil rulers of the kingdom.

               How much longer were the two of them going to have to run and hide away like this? Izuku was becoming tired of the situation, and he was sure that Itsuki was feeling the same, even without hearing the other say it. Being on the run made it hard for the two of them to even get a moment’s rest, resorting to hiding out in the woods under the cover to the fauna there to even get a moments reprieve.

               Which brought them to their current place in time, Izuku’s frame leaned heavily back against the tree behind him, knees pulled to his chest as his head rested on his hands. He was tired... tired of them having to hide. It wasn’t easy though, with the price that was on their heads, just because they stood up for something they thought was right.

                     ❝ They just don’t give up... do they? ❞

         A low groan of pain left Izuku as he struggled to get back to his feet, hands pressing themselves against the ground beneath him before giving way, body falling back to the ground with a thud. The villain was stronger than he’d anticipated, getting tired much tired than had been anticipated and One for All having been pushed to it’s limit already. Even so, he had to get up... he couldn’t let someone else get hurt.

        With another groan, Izuku attempted to bring himself up from the ground once more, when a familiar pair of boots met his gaze, emerald eyes following them upward, landing on the familiar form of his teacher.  ❝ A--Aizawa... sensei? ❞

              Emerald eyes glanced to the side at the familiar voice that spoke to him, a small but soft smile on Izuku’s face. It was nice of her to say that, but there were times that even that didn’t seem to be the case. Of course, he knew if he needed them, his friends would be there for him in an instant, but there were just some things that he couldn’t bring them into. The last thing he wanted was for them to get caught in the crossfire. But he would keep that to himself... for now at least.

           A grimace of pain crossed over Izuku’s face as he looked down at his hand, the muscles in his fingers having small spasms as he tried to bend them. While the majority of the time he chose to use his Shoot Style, he still relied on his punches as well, though less frequently. The sight of his hand, fingers broken and bent in ways that weren’t natural in the slightest, was proof for him that he had let himself fall slack in his other training.

           ❝ Really? ❞ Deku quipped back, the pain coursing through him taking away from the normal cheerful demeanor.  ❝ I hadn’t noticed, Kaachan. Thank you for pointing that out. ❞
