what universe have you never even considered writing in, and why?

outofroses: a universe I have never even considered writing in? mmm—that's a tough one. I have only ever roleplayed in the Ouran fandom, Vampire Knight (Zero), and the Fruits Basket (yoo, Yuki) fandom. While I have a deep love for many other fandoms, I never really considered writing in them, per-say. Like, Yugioh, for example. That was my childhood in middle school! However, I don't feel much of a muse for any of the characters. I meeeeaaaan—

Maaaaybe Marik, but I am also a huge fanboy so....that could just be misplaced infatuation LOL.

I don't think I would ever consider writing in a fandom that is not animated. Not to say that that I don't connect with the characters, or enjoy the stories in those types of media, but I have always been drawn to animation (no pun intended here). I briefly went to school for computer animation, and grew up around, and creating, art my entire life. So its a personal preference, really.

Maybe the answer is more simple: Tamaki is my heart-muse. This is where I am! I find fulfillment in this fandom, and in my muse, that I don't often consider other fandoms.

I have often thought about Tamaki's love-language sans words of affirmation (in relation to this ask). Acts of Kindness...quality time...touch. This is partly why I joke about Tamaki being love personified because he exhibits a little a lot of all of these love languages.

So...that brings into question: what does it look like when Tamaki expresses his love/care for his partner?

I think what it boils down to is this: Tamaki is very good at reading people. He is intuitive and observant. (I know canonically, it would see that he isn't, but lets face it...it is his own feelings that he is oblivious to). Tamaki is very good at making people happy, and that takes great interpersonal skills. I think Tamaki would know exactly what his partner needs/wants. He would show affection with hand holding, tight bear hugs, and sweet kisses (especially forehead kisses). He would bring flowers, and gifts and surprise trips! Oh~ The amount of surprise trips he would plan for his loved one. He would share his love for history, animals, sappy dramas, and...play the piano for his beloved.

He would make sure they knew exactly how he feels. That being said, if he could use his words? He would praise the ever living bejeezus out of them, lol.

My answer is a resounding and emphatic YES! Yes yes yeeeesss. Oh my gosh yes, lol.

Love and romance means a lot to Tamaki. It is such an intrinsic part of his character canonically. Sometimes I feel he is love personified! Okay...maybe that is a bit of a stretch, but maybe not..really? ehh.

I think Tamaki looks for love in every part of his life. He talks about it a lot and seems to always be chasing it, in some fashion. However, when it comes his way he doesn't seem to understand what to do with it.

Because of his past he views love in a very paradoxical way. He loves love but he is, also, afraid of love. Who could blame him? His only real example of love in his formative years, essentially, broke up his family. And the love he bases his persona around comes from dramatizations (aka soap operas, j dramas, etc.) of what love actually is. I think he is learning little by little.

Tamaki is extravagant, showy, and flamboyant, there is no doubt. His hosting persona is not a persona at all! He wholeheartedly believes in the things he says and does. So it isn't a stretch to think that Tamaki would be the same way when it comes to dating!

If He Was The One Orchestrating The Ideal First Date:

Tamaki would lavish his partner with bodacious words and gestures befitting a prince. He loves being able to make others happy. I think he would pay close attention to his partner and would do his best to deliver a perfect date for the one he loves. No matter the cost! As he says: you cannot put a price tag on happiness!

If He Were to Describe His Ideal First Date:

I think Tamaki would find just spending time with the person he loves most would be his idea of the Ideal First Date. No matter how extravagant or expensive...or how common the date may be, if he is by their side, then the date would be perfect. He just wants to be cared for, and loved, for who he is. The truth is, Tamaki doesn't care about a person's status, last name, gender, or financial background. That has to do largely with his own upbringing! Yeah, he had money, and yeah the Suoh's are richy rich, but the man was ostracized from his family for not being "legitimate". So, I think if someone took an interest in him, and showed him his own worth (which he is largely oblivious to most of the time), then he would consider that to be a the perfect first date.

mun ask - 18. how did you come across the roleplay community?

outofroses: Roleplay and I go way back! In 2008 I came across roleplaying forums on a site called IMVU. Back then I only wrote one-liners, and misspelled ...so many words. Its hard to believe I was a freshman in college then! Yikes! I stayed on IMVU for many years. I mostly rped OCs in original worlds that either my friends, or I, created. I found the Ouran fandom back in 2010 and have stayed in it. I followed my ex to FB, then I followed him to tumblr, and I that was when this blog was born.

This was back in August of 2012!

I've loved every rp community I've been apart of but nothing quite matches the vibrancy of the Tumblr rp community. The people I have met here have been some of the kindest and most welcoming group of rpers I have ever met. 🤍~

what genre do you primarily favour?

Actually, he is partially correct. I probably lean more toward the many flavors of the romantic genre. I grew up reading those dirty 50cent romance novels as a kid lol. Full disclosure.

But honestly, I've roleplayed all types of genres, and as I've gotten older romance has become the side quest not the endgame. I—actually...angst. lol I love angst. Google says its a genre. *Looks pointedly in Tama's direction*
