LEON & THE AFTERMATH OF RESI 2.           leon hates when claire leaves him alone with sherry. he hates it more than anything.  & he doesn’t resent claire. he gets it. ( sorta )  she needs to find her brother and especially after the fucked up situation that is their entire town being nuked, he completely understands. but claire leaves him. totally alone. with a child that he has only known for less than like... 5 hours, tops. and he had just literally killed her dad and watched her mom die.   it’s difficult for him. sure, yeah, he can empathize with sherry because he too is an orphan. ( was. he’s a grown ass man now ) but he’s not great with kids. he tries to be a father figure, but god he’s more than relieved when the government comes to threaten him to be an agent. to work for them. hush money. hush. hush everything. as long as sherry is safe, that’s all leon cares about. he doesn’t want her struggling with the foster care system like he did growing up. he doesn’t want that for her. but he has to admit that he would have been okay with claire sticking around to help him be a good father figure to sherry. maybe not even father figure. older brother? shit. but she doesn’t, and he can’t blame her for that. 

once he gets closer to chris, leon’s a bit more happy to hear about claire. hear that she’s alive. and that she’s okay. it’s not often, but he doesn’t go out of his way to ask like ‘hey how’s your sister’. it comes across as romantic and leon isn’t sure he’s like that. so he just listens for conversations regarding claire. small bits of information. 

when he sees claire again, he’s relieved that she’s still okay. honestly, he’s been fucking around and finding out a bit too much lately, so honestly he didn’t think he’d ever live to see claire again given half the world trying to kill him through bio organic weapons. he will always cherish claire.
