What does Sokol wear around in the warehouse?
Indoors: He likes keeping it simple. Usually he’ll wear a black shirt or some other variant of a sports team shirt so long as it’s dry-fit material. He takes like 10 showers a day and can’t stand having a sweaty shirt sticking to his back.
Outdoorsy: The only splash of colour you’d see him wear is flannel. He’ll either button it up or wear a shirt beneath it, maybe pair it with some jeans. Now, it’s so much a stylistic choice than it is a comfort thing bc... his family used to be poor and in Russia flannels are made extremely cheap. Also, his mama says he looks good in 'em so who's he to argue? There’ll always be a couple of them ( red, blue, green, yellow! ) hanging in his wardrobe, give him one for his birthday and he’ll be happy.
Heists: Wearing a suit for heists is partly about vanity bc Sokol wants to look sharp and cool on the news if he ever gets apprehended by the police. Okay but really, the suit is a disguise to blend amongst the rich and to get past security. He’s acted as decoys and honeypots so he has to look the part. It’s no Armani, though—- just a brandless grey suit and tie set he picked up from a department store for cheap on his way to the safehouse for the first time.

                                                                OWL TATTOO
Tumblr media
Sokol always wanted a tattoo. Thought it'll look cool on him. So when he received his first paycheck from Payday at 22, he pulled up to some dingy tattoo place hidden deep in some dilapidated mall. Image in mind, with no reference, Sokol hoped that whatever English he could master's enough to translate that he wanted a falcon. But nope. The tattooist misunderstood and gave him an owl.
Well, the artwork wasn’t bad bad. But thinking back it’s an obviously a fucking stupid move on his end 'cause now he can’t bare his neck during heists out of fear of being ID’d. Looks like those collared black dress shirts and/or coveralls will be a mainstay for him!
Under the cut is a photo of his biggest mistake but hey! He thinks it looks good on him.

002. Do they do anything to celebrate their birthday?
At present he hasn’t revealed it to anyone, so no. But in the past when he was in his ice hockey team a teammate’s mama or babushka will always bake him a birthday pie filled with sweet fruit filling. Apparently it’s a thing in Russia to have a birthday greeting carved upon the crust and the first slice is given to the brithday boy/girl!
006. What sense do they most rely on?
I’d wager it’s his sense of sight. In extremely tactile sports like ice hockey he always has to keep his eye on the puck, understand the play-style of his opponents. In a heist he has to be very observant and he always reads the energy of the room before putting on the mask.
009. Do they believe in happy endings?
Took all the strength in my body not to make a wisecrack there, but no, he doesn’t. But he believes it’s possible for someone to make peace with themselves.
019. If they could have a superpower, what would they choose?
Invisibility.
025. What do they consider beautiful in others personality-wise?
He appreciates kindness. Someone who’s willing to spare someone a break when things get tough. You know, empathy.
026. What do they consider ugly in others personality-wise?
Pride. Arrogance. But ironically it’s something he has a lot of.
027. What is their idea of perfect happiness?
He’s careful on what he wishes for now. A normal life is at the top of the list.
035. What is the most important rule your character lives by?
Well, to not skimp on doing anything and giving his all.
044. What disgusts them?
Answered here!
051. If they knew they would die tomorrow, what would they do today?
He’ll call home. Maybe spend the rest of his life wrapped around a lover.
067. Does your character believe in fate or destiny?
Sounds an awful lot like coincidences to him...
078. How emotionally stable is your character?
He’s generally pretty chill for someone whose blood is like 70% alcohol? Jk haha but when worked up he can be blinded by rage BUT it’s a very rare occurrence. Tends to take it out on those around him :/
089. How vocally expressive is your character?
He’s very chatty in Russian! But given that his English is limited he doesn’t really talk a lot, only if he's confident in what he’s saying or has a joke to share.
096. How do they move and carry themselves? What energy do they project?
In my mind’s eye he reminds me of a jock at the top of the food chain in high school LOL. Broad shoulders, stocky, confident, with a teeny bit of swagger but really I’m sure it’s the bulk of those muscles talking like he’s got the world in the palm of his hand... but out in the field or the rink and he’s very nimble and dexterous! Peak Mary Sue energy I suppose!
100. Does your character dream? If so, what do they dream about?
These days he only sleep comes in installations of power naps. But when he does, it’s usually like an extrapolation of the day’s events featuring people he’s seen that day. Nightmares aren’t scary, but just him being placed into unsavoury situations that feel a little too real.

THE PAYDAY SAFEHOUSE: SOKOL’S ICE HOCKEY RINK
Sokol’s place in the PAYDAY safehouse is in the basement, just by the staircase next to Dragan’s lair. It started off as a pathetic little net in the centre of the room, and after months of badgering and whining Dallas eventually fitted it with solid hardwood and an actual responsive digital scoreboard! Clover had been the one to help make those cloaker/dozer obstacle cut-outs for him.
While the space felt like some kind of shrine, he’d framed up some of his ex-teammates’ signed jerseys ( though the names below make no sense ), to make it feel more like... home. A reminder of his old life outside a life of crime. He’s also got several pairs of skates of different sizes so anyone’s welcome to join him. Granted it’s not a stadium, but it’s got the same feel as one and is sufficient for him to practice flicking and trickshots.
And to address the elephant in the room, no—- Sokol doesn’t live there; it’s just a place for him to attend briefings and hang out with the others. However, he’s not above sleeping right smack in the middle of the rink if he fancied a nap, personal boundaries be damned... and he might steal Jacket’s zebra-patterned floor rug as a makeshift bedroll if the guy’s not in his cage.
