someone not long for this world. the choice of words hum inside the confines of her skull. some part of her, the deepest, sickest part of her wishes that were true. that her body were not so beyond humanity, her life still sprawling out in decades before her while her body clings to youth, to an unsurpassable physical peak. she is timeless, something less and more than human, removed from this world entirely. maybe he’s right. maybe she isn’t long for it, if only because she slips past its grip to exist somewhere parallel, just beside the world where others walk. maybe it’s not quite that she isn’t long for this world. more that she was never meant for it.
her legs are long, limbs deerlike in nature with bony joints connecting each piece. beneath the table, her knee brushes his. maybe without meaning. maybe just the silent message : we are so much closer than you think, i am here, i am here.
❝ i don’t bruise. they don’t last, anyway. ❞ a careful, literal answer. the kind that makes her look away from him momentarily, a casual side - eye glance at anything that isn’t his face. then, she looks back with those endlessly curious grey eyes. breath hitches for a moment in her throat. i remember you, i do, please know i do --- the place where my head stops at your shoulder, that care you take when you move, the silent way express your tenderness. i know you. i want to say thank you for showing me, for allowing me to memorize each piece that ties you together.
she looks at him with such intensity, the kind that would frighten off anyone less brave, less understanding of the creature she is. there’s something near feral in her eyes at the exposure of his violet bruise --- she longs to touch it, press it down, see him wince in pain. oh, that violent expression of adoration that has become the only language she speaks anymore. he trusts her. she wants him to trust her with more. wants to crack his ribcage open and wrap her french - tipped fingers around the beating heart inside. his throat is bare and her incisors long for it. she does not know if she wants to study him under a microscope or eat him alive --- or if she only wants to care for something, someone without making it bleed. she likes his laugh, subtle and breathy and real. she commits every bit of texture along his skin to memory, breaking it down into pieces to re - assemble in her thoughts later until no detail escapes the trap of her hippocampus.
don’t ask me why i intend to keep him so. i couldn’t tell you. very few things i’ve done demand explanation, even fewer still that have one at all. i think, maybe, there’s something kindred about us two.
❝ do you ... want to know me ? ❞ words come out slowly, delicately, as if --- for once, for one rare moment --- she isn’t quite certain. to be wanted, in any capacity, is a new, uneasy feeling. she chokes down her own spit before she touches the coffee. she’s always been more of a tea person, but now she holds it in her grip for the warmth alone, even as it begins to fade.
❝ the bruises that did stay --- ❞ there’s a new thickness hanging in the air between them. she seems unsure about the words coming out of her mouth, the honesty she’s committing to. her pink lips wrap around the cup of coffee, leaving behind a sparkling pink gloss stain when she pulls back to speak. ❝ well, they’re more than skin deep, so to speak. ❞
@inkshach continued from here.

13x04: The Big Empty
Then:
What gets burned, stays dead. NOT! TOTALLY NOT! SPOILERS: CAS IS ALIVE! CAS IS BACK!!!
Now:
Did I mention CAS IS BACK!???!
Oh wait, first the intro:
Dude in Madison, WI comes home to a not quite empty house. It seems his late, great wife is waiting in the dark for him. He’s not acting nearly as weirded out as he should.
And he gets a nice, deep gut stab for his efforts.
At the bunker, Dean is NOT journaling.
Sam comes back from a supply run, and tries to make small talk. Dean briefs his brother on the case. Sam suggests they bring Jack along, but Dean is adamant that he stay behind. Then he takes a dig at Sam’s desire to find their mom. Sam points out, “So you’re saying you want to move on….from Mom.” Angry Brother Stares. Dean just wants to work a case. Whew, there’s so much NOT BEING SAID HERE. It’s like there’s a BIG EMPTY space in their conversation.
Sam goes to check on Jack, who’s holed up in his room watching Clone Wars.
Sam asks Jack if he wants to come along and work the case with them. “No.” (I laughed at the delivery of that line SO much.) Jack throws some nice shade at his “interdimensional can-opener” status --letting Sam know that he heard the brothers’ conversation. Sam makes it clear that, yes, he wants his mom back, but Sam still cares about Jack, even if they can’t get Mary back. Sweet Nougat Jack is still out there breaking our hearts with how innocent and wonderful he is. He worries about Dean wanting to kill him, but Sam reassures him that he will not let that happen.
Madison, WI
Team Free Nougat pulls up to the victim’s -Wes Bailey- house. Dean gives the rundown. Jack questions the moral exactitude of the whole FBI schtick. The brothers give Jack some exposition on ghosts and revenants. Jack wears a cute little tan coat very reminiscent of one TOTALLY NOT DEAD angel.
The brothers interview the neighbor lady, while Jack heads into the victim’s house to discover a dried pool of blood, with an evidence tag next to it. I think he deserves an upgrade to Detective Nougat!
Sam gives Jack a lesson on the EMF reader, which does not register a ghost. So: Revenant! They all head to the graveyard that night, and Dean makes Jack do the heavy lifting (literally), and dig the grave.
Sam accuses Dean of being just like their dad. Oof, that’s a loaded accusation. Dean lays it out clearly: He’s not going to be a mom to Jack. He’s not going to care for him like he did for Sam. Plus, the kid can dig. So, yay!
Once Jack is done digging the grave, they find a body. No revenant then. Weirdsies. They salt and burn to be on the safe side. Because, “What gets burned, stays dead.”
CAAAAAASSSSSSS!!!!!!
Rich, white lady blows a tire on HIGHWAY(We’re in Wisconsin, you heathens) route 19, and just as she’s talking to roadside assistance, her son from beyond the grave pays her a visit, and uses the very effective blood cannon on her. Bits of her all over the windshield!
Sam and Dean check out the new crime scene, but with no EMF, they’re baffled.
CAAAAAAASSSSSS!!!!
Our darling baby in a trenchcoat is wandering around a big, dark nothing, calling out to no one. Well, almost no one, something manifests itself from the nothingness.
Jack, meanwhile, continues to be the cutest devil baby/son/intern ever, I swear. Sam connects the vics to a grief counselor. Dean mocks traditional forms of grief management.
Dean: She’s one Kool-aid away from Jonestown. Me, an intellectual: Actually it was Flavor-aid. (Is that how that meme works? Gah, in any event, I’m a nerd and hate that common misnomer.)
Dean surmises that the shrink is a medium. They need to check it out --but not as FBI agents. What’s this fractured family to do?
Family therapy!
Jack gets the ball rolling by admitting to the therapist that he recently lost his mother. Sam steps in and admits they’re brothers (Sorry Adam!), and they need help processing their grief.
Mia, the therapist, leads them to a room, and asks them about their loss. “Well, Mom was great, now she’s dead. What’s the deal with catharsis?” Yeah, Dean decides to not keep up appearances. Mia is less than pleased, but Sam smoothes things over. Dean gets even punchier (Dean “deflection” Winchester so totally journals) (also, Sam says that Dean’s not processing his grief but Dean says he is, but Sam questions that, and Dean says that he knows that their mom is dead, but I’m thinking that Sam didn’t necessarily mean their mom, because Dean can clearly admit that their mom is dead, and yet there’s a totally BIG EMPTY space of someone that Dean can’t really admit to being dead, someone whose death he isn’t processing, I’m just saying), and admits that Sam is delusional, and thinks their mom is alive. Sam then unleashes some MUCH NEEDED anger and grief. He never had her as a mom. He’s jealous of the time Dean had with her. (I’ve seen gifsets and arguments for and against the feelings Sam is having. Why didn’t he make more of an effort to reach out to Mary? Are his feelings of abandonment justified?)
Sam leaves to drink some vegetable water and find the remnants of a shapeshifter in the bathroom. Shapeshifter! I knew it began with an ‘S’! (Tumblr, you failed me trying to find a gif of Harry Christmas saying “Samsonite!” I’m not old, you’re old.)
Dean tries to cover the awkward silence while they wait with a heavy swig of hunter’s helper. Spoiler: It’s not helping. Sam bursts in, gun drawn, announcing that Mia’s a shifter. She pleads with them --yes, she’s a shifter, but she’s never killed anyone. She’s helping people --she shifts into the person that her patients have lost (That’s just wrong, and also, I’d like to see my cat again please :’() Dean drops the hard truths that her patients are dead. Mia is shocked. She has an alibi, and she swears, she’s telling them the truth.
Back in darkness, Cas wanders through the night-black plain. He seems...perturbed. He turns to find a copy of himself coalescing into being. The copy of Cas smirks at him and introduces himself as a celestial entity who took his form because Cas would “freak out, rip out your own eyes, etcetera.” Cas asks him where they are and the entity tells him that before everything on Earth – before gods and all - there was nothing. Emptiness. That's where Cas is right now, along with every single angel and demon who's died. They're all sleeping snug in their beds for all eternity. Everyone except for Cas and this grouchy entity of the Empty.
This fun entity, so very snarky, reminds me (and several others on Tumblr apparently) of the character Q from Star Trek. Q was hugely powerful and completely a dick...rather like this entity. Thus, shall he be named...Qstiel.
Qstiel demands to know why Castiel is awake. Cas makes a wild guess that the Winchesters made a deal to save him but Qstiel swiftly corrects that assumption. Nobody has power over the Empty except for him. When Cas still fails to come up with a satisfactory explanation, Qstiel mind-whammies him, sending him to his knees.
Back at Mia's office, we learn about Buddy, suspect number one. Buddy is an ex-boyfriend of Mia's and the only other shapeshifter she ever knew (other than her mother). He's also a stone cold crazy killer who liked to completely ruin people's lives before he killed them. Mia does what she does now partially as recompense for the suffering she enabled when she was with him.
Armed with that super strong suspect, they try to figure out who Buddy is posing as in order to gain access to her client files. The suspicion falls on the assistant from earlier and Dean reluctantly agrees to take Jack along to check out the assistant. Guys… Jack knows Dean wants to kill him but he's still seeking out opportunities to spend time with Dean and he doesn't run from a job with just the two of them. Alone. While Dean is heavily armed. What a good bean.
Dean and Jack head out to the assistant's house where Dean orders Jack yet again to stay in the car. Jack wants to help, though – and he wants to help with more than just this case. He tells Dean that Sam told him about the plan to save Mary. Dean coldly replies, “You should know Sam's plans don't always work out.” (Listen. It's fine. I'm not remembering Dean's support of Sam's leadership at the end of season 12 and weeping steadily.)
Sam and Mia, meanwhile, scan security footage until they find eyeshine. It's one of her patients – the guy Jack merrily said “Hello” to when they first arrived.
Back in the Empty, Cas is still having a pretty shitty vacation from life. He pulls himself up after Qstiel ravages his mind. Qstiel ignores his pain, and goes on a mini rant about how utterly annoying it is to have somebody awake. He can't go back to sleep until Castiel does. Cas lifts his head, interested to learn that Qstiel is so perturbed by one awake angel.
Qstiel threatens to chuck Cas clear across the Empty so he can't hear Cas stomping around his bedroom. Cas calls him on his bluff and raises the stakes. If he's so annoying to Qstiel then he should just be sent back to Earth. Everybody wins.
At first Qstiel turns him down. He taunts Cas about his past failures. “I know what you hate. I know who you love. What you fear. There is nothing for you back there.” A look of despair falls upon Cas and Qstiel hammers the message home by showing him all his failures that resulted in death. Noooooooo!
Dean and Jack arrive back at Mia's house to find that Sam already left to try to find Buddy. Dean storms off grumpily, trying to call Sam. Meanwhile, Jack asks to speak with Mia. He tells her some of the truth about himself and asks her to take Kelly's form so he can have some catharsis as well. She shifts into Kelly and then, as Kelly, sits with him to have a heart to heart.
It's Kelly! And man, I miss her. She really got into my good graces in the second half of last season and that video she left for Jack is so great. Mia-as-Kelly and Jack have a talk about good, evil, and choices. He worries that he's feeling a general lack of emotion at all the mad turmoil he’s been exposed to. And. Hon. It's been like a week, right? Give it time. “It doesn't matter what you are,” she tells him. “It matters what you do. Even monsters can do good in this world.” It's SUCH a beautiful moment for Jack and Mia with so many layers of meaning between the two of them and their separate tragedies. This makes me...cry. Okay. I cried when I watched it. ARE YOU HAPPY NOW? And then I pretended that my eye itched so I could wipe it away, unseen.
Sam finally calls Dean back. Sam tells him he lost the shifter (and my suspicions are immediately raised about Sam). However, I'm surprised when the camera pans away to show two Deans in the room – one on the floor unconscious and the other smirking at his cell phone. Oh, Dean Bean. Nice job surprising me, show! High five :)
Shifter Dean breaks into the room with Mia and Jack, picks up an iron poker, and rams it into poor Jack's skull. Dean then rips his face off...
...to reveal Buddy. He smirks at poor Mia. (Me: takes a moment to ponder the caloric intake needs of shifters if they have the ability to shed so much tissue and blood so quickly.)
In the Empty, Cas gets called epithets he's heard for years – maybe centuries. Qstiel tells him to sleep and save himself but Cas lifts himself up and says, “I'm already saved.” He won't stop harassing Qstiel...ever. So he'd better let Cas go NOW or he'll be in for one miserable ride. “Release me,” Castiel growls.
Cut to Dean waking up in handcuffs. (Nice, show. Nice.) Dean tries to wake up Jack while Buddy goes crazy bananas over Mia. Once Jack is awake, Dean asks Jack to use his powers to snap the cuffs and set him free. Meanwhile, Buddy gives Mia an ultimatum. She can kill Dean and Jack or she can die. She refuses to do it and Sam's return to the house distracts Buddy from immediately killing her. Buddy trains his gun on the door, ready to shoot Sam as he enters. Dean gets knocked out again trying to warn Sam (seriously it will be good to get Cas back and start healing all those concussions again, right?). So now it's down to Jack. At the last minute he power blasts Buddy, deflects the bullet from Sam, and knocks Buddy back long enough so Sam can get in a clean shot. Buddy dies, Jack slumps, and we cut to the aftermath. Mia slowly cleans up her office. “I just wanted to help people,” she mourns.
Back at the bunker Jack's enjoying a glass of water when Dean walks into the kitchen. He grabs two beers from the fridge then saunters close to Jack. He tells Jack that he “did good today,” and actually calls him by his name. Jack smiles.
Dean brings Sam a beer and apologizes for being a dick. “Maybe you're right about the kid,” Dean admits.
And then Sam bends too. “What if you're right about mom?” he asks.
Dean slowly shakes his head at this (and I'm struck with memories of season 11 and Faith and all those times Sam believed when Dean didn’t). “I need you to keep the faith for both of us,” Dean tells him. “cause right now I don't believe in a damn thing.” Dean looks away again with his dead-eyed stare...
And the scene cuts to a sunny field. Blackberry brambles. Delicate flute music. Castiel wakes in the field, stands and finds himself whole, and looks up towards the sky and the warmth and light of the sun.
Quote!Stiel:
What do you want to do? Leave him in a ring of holy oil, some Netflix, and a frozen pizza?

Let's go be the good guys.

merde. she’s trying her absolute damndest, but this parenthood thing is ... difficult, to say the least. her dad hadn’t warned her. then again, she’d been an easy enough child --- before the running away to avenge her brother’s murder incident, but still. then, she remembers the bits and pieces between her insistence upon making dinner and perfect report cards --- the breakdowns and the fights and the tears. maybe this is normal.
she’d never been a fan of vulgar language --- jezebel has always believed in the versatility of language, never a necessity for those harsh words people spit. still, there hadn't been judgement in her tone --- more so a suggestion. still, there is an uncomfortable familiarity with the ways of an explosive child when someone they love says one thing and their trauma translates it into something else.
she sits at the table for a minute longer, staring at the pieces strewn about, thinking. about what to say, what to do, how long she's spent as a soldier and how now she is breaking her bones to fit into the role of mother --- not regretfully in the slightest, but still with difficulty at times, a kind of growing pain. she eventually rises from the table, a ghost in their shared home floating her way to his door, rapping gently with two knuckles

Server Access
Before you read, please read this note: Hiya! So, I've been replaying Arkham Origins and I noticed the server room has a work space set up in it that is...very well lived in. And, since we don't see Eddie's desk anywhere in game, I took the idea of him working there and ran with it. But who, canonically, spends a lot of time in the server room? Babs. So this was basically an experiment of "what if, before the Riddler, before Batgirl, before Origins, they knew each other and were friendly?" Gotta say, I'm intrigued with it. I hope y'all enjoy it! Feedback is much appreciated, especially as this is my first time writing a full fic with either of them. Cheers!
“Oh, come on Eddie,” she pleaded, leaning on the railing above him with the kind of puppy dog eyes Edward felt should be illegal. “No, absolutely not,” he rebutted, adjusting his glasses. “Don’t you have something better to do? Can’t you go watch tv in your father’s office or text your friends or…whatever it is you do?” “No,” she laughed, though it wasn’t derisive and that was the only thing keeping her laughter from being annoying. She ducked down to sit on the stairs beside him. “I’m not asking for access to the station’s files, just for internet access.” “Barbara, your father would kill me.” “No, he wouldn’t. Please, Eddie, you’re the only one here who could help me.” Even in the dim light of the server room, she could see him flush at the words. He tried and failed to look busy with his laptop, the harsh green glare made him look almost sallow. Smoke from his cigarette, forgotten on the ashtray, curled sinuously upwards, wrapping around the solitary desk lamp like a lover. Edward’s cuff links—which she abruptly realized were shaped like question marks—sat momentarily discarded on the side of the desk after he’d rolled up his sleeves. He’s going to say no, she thought, heart sinking. Sure, she could break through the firewall herself, but it would take time and, if she got caught, she really didn’t want to be lectured about it. He sucked in a sharp breath. “Fine,” he said crisply, not looking up from his work. He gestured to the empty desk-space to his left and, grinning, she pulled her laptop from her bag and set it on the table. Barbara glanced around the room, impatiently waiting for her computer to start up. There had always been something eerie about this room. The dim lights, the winding rows of servers that made the large room cramped and confining. For some unknown reason, the vents in the floor kept filling the air with mist, making the room look like the lair of some villain in a video game. More than once she’d found herself thinking of the server room as Edward’s lair, though his desk was technically located elsewhere. It was almost painfully cold. “How did you know I was here?” “Ed, you basically live here.” Judging by the wrinkles in his slacks and the number of coffee cups and takeout containers in the nearby trash can, he’d been here a while. Barbara wanted to ask why he didn’t go home—wasn’t there anyone there who missed him? Wouldn’t it be more comfortable there than in the precinct?—and if anyone knew he was staying when he was supposed to be off the clock again. Instead, she said: “Rough case?” “N—uh, yes, actually. You might call it that.” His gloved fingers tapped out a sharp staccato on her keyboard and she settled back down onto the stairs to wait. The faint whirring of electronics filled the air between them and Barbara found it almost relaxing. A nice reprieve from the chaos of the bullpen and not as lonely and stifling as her father’s office. For all his brusqueness, Edward had never outright complained about her being around. Sometimes he even seemed glad for company—sometimes he was quiet, focused on whatever it was he was doing, but more often than not he ended up talking at her about various subjects until he was pulled away or her father came to tell her it was time to go home. “Here's a riddle I'm having a hard time understanding,” he finally told her, leaning back in his chair to stare at her over his glasses. “What are you doing here?” “That's not a riddle, Eddie,” she told him with a faint smile. “And I already told you why I'm here; I need internet access without the precinct's firewall getting in the way.” “That isn't what I meant, and you know it, Barbara. Why are you here? The precinct's not exactly safe—especially for you.” This time she couldn't help but laugh, shaking her head. “You sound like my father. Look, I'm not afraid of these cops. And-and I have a Taser if anyone tries to follow me here after school. I'm not helpless.” He blinked, taken aback at her casual admittance of being...for lack of a better term, armed. She could see the doubt creep back in, though, smothering his surprise. He ran a hand through his hair. “That’s not—” he broke off with a sigh— “You really don't understand what they could do. Jim is...not like most of the force.” “I know they don't all like dad—” “And what do you think that means if they decide to do something about it?” She looked down at the floor, staring at her boots as contemplatively. Her father had said similar things before—that the cops were corrupt and might act out against them in retribution. He'd been trying to warn her for a while now. And, though she'd listened to him, she'd never taken it seriously. There were always going to be conflicting interests on the force, especially in a city as corrupt as Gotham. No one would do anything...would they? “Is it really that bad?” He offered her a short nod and she thought he almost seemed to regret bringing up the subject. She wanted to say it was all paranoia; that her father and Harvey and Edward were all just imagining a worst case scenario, but the more they said the more she began to realize that there had to be a place they were speaking from. Things they'd heard or past experience. Barbara flexed her hand, repressing the urge to fidget with the strings of her coat. “They do this to everyone that isn't on the take, don't they?” His silence was an answer enough and she hesitantly cleared her throat. “And...you?” He looked away, turning his attention back to his screen, and it solidified her suspicions. Anger flared in her gut. She thought about the few friends her father had—how tired and overworked they always looked. What were the others on the force putting them through? What was going on that the public would never hear about? The system was so broken; the pieces didn't even resemble the whole anymore. Barbara jolted to her feet, unsure what she was going to do, just that she needed to do something. “Those bastards.” Edward caught her arm as she turned towards the door, pulling her back until she gave in and came to lean against the desk. The half-smile he gave her seemed bittersweet. “You don’t think you’re going to take on the entire GCPD by yourself, do you?” “I don’t know. I-I just feel like I should do something. Don’t you?” He did, but there was no need to inform her of the steady stockpile of information he’d been collecting, nor of any of his other work. The police would be less than pleased, but that’s why he wasn’t planning on uploading it through the GCPD. He would be working off site, carefully covering his tracks. It was just…taking some time. He wouldn’t pretend it wasn’t somewhat self-serving—even though most of what he had he intended on releasing without ransoming it, some of it? Oh, no, some of the information was the kind of thing worth lording over someone’s head. Perhaps that perverted his work, perhaps not. Edward wasn’t in this line of work to question the morality of his own choices. Barbara gave him all of five minutes of thoughtful silence before she cast a glance toward her laptop. “Do you think it’ll take very much longer?” Edward started, clearly having put the laptop from his mind for the moment. “It started updating when I connected it.” She wasn’t sure if she was exasperated or not that he hadn’t mentioned it was all but ready ages ago. Instead, she settled on gratitude. No one else in the precinct would have helped her and she was glad for his assistance. “Thanks, Eddie. I owe you a hot chocolate—the good kind!” “Promises,” he taunted with an amused snort. “What do you need to look at so badly, anyway?” “EBay,” she replied lightly, reaching across him to lift her laptop into her arms. “I…EBay?” “I’ve been bidding on some new equipment.” He looked up toward the door and the empty hallway barely visible through the barred window beside it and then back at Barbara, leaning toward her almost conspiratorially. “That’s what this is all about?” He leaned back, moving his glasses out of the way just enough to rub tiredly at the bridge of his nose. “I knew it; your father is going to kill me.” “Dad’s not going to kill you, Eddie,” she assured him almost distractedly. “Wish me luck that I can get this as cheap as they’re asking. Maybe we could find you a hat with what I have left.”

This week’s theme was undoubtedly the continued taint of the Trump regime for their ties to Russia. For the first time since Election Day, Trump seems unable to drive the media storylines.
Trump announced he would not attend the White House Correspondent’s Association dinner, amid growing tension with the media.
Further to the stories on Priebus in Week 15 reaching out to the FBI, reports cited that Spicer made calls to the CIA, and Republican leaders Nunes and Burr, asking they discredit the NYT story about Russian ties.
Before the investigation even begins, Nunes, the House Intelligence Committee chair, said he hasn’t found evidence of the Trump team’s ties to Russia.
CREW filed under the FOIA to see communications between Priebus and the FBI.
Trump accused Obama of being behind the town hall protests: “I think [Obama] is behind it. I also think it’s politics.”
Early in the week, Trump pronounced, “I haven’t called Russia in 10 years,” a statement then thoroughly discredited by video clips of his numerous statements otherwise.
In a NBC interview, former President George W. Bush said “we need answers” on Trump ties to Russia.
Another Trump cabinet pick, Wilbur Ross, has deep ties to Russia, including investing more than $1 billion in the Bank of Cyprus, and becoming a vice chairman of the bank. Putin appointed the other vice chairman.
Rachel Maddow reported the Bank of Cyprus also has ties to a Russian oligarch who helped Trump make a $60 million profit flipping a home in Florida he owned for just two years.
As Trump continued his attacks on Sweden, O’Reilly booked a supposed Swedish ‘national security advisor’ for his Fox News show. After Swedish officials indicated this expert was not known, O’Reilly was forced to issue a watered-down apology. Since, Trump has stopped attacking Sweden.
A massive wave of anti-Semitism continued, including two more cemeteries desecrated, and 31 threats against JCC’s in one day alone. The ADL has said anti-Semitism in the US is the worst since the 1930s.
Seeming to follow David Duke’s lead, Trump said it could be Jews behind the rash of anti-Semitic attacks.
Another mosque was burned down — the fourth in seven weeks.
WAPO reported the FBI had once planned to pay the British spy behind the dossier, lending credibility to the contents.
The Senate Intelligence Committee may call the British spy who gathered the information for the infamous dossier, to testify. If they can find him (he’s in hiding).
The father of the SEAL killed in the failed Yemen raid told the Miami Herald he wants answers.
Trump sought to blame the generals for the SEAL’s death.
Trump also tried to blame Obama, saying he finished what Obama had started. This was refuted by a former aid, who said Obama had never approved the raid.
NBC reported that despite Trump claims to the contrary, senior US officials said there was no significant intel yielded from the Yemen raid.
Feinstein and other Dem senators demanded more information from the State Dept on China’s sudden decision to grant a trademark to the Trump organization. As noted in Week 14’s list, this occurred shortly after Trump declared his support of “One China” policy.
Trump WH let Conway off the hook on an ethics investigation, saying she acted “inadvertently” in promoting Ivanka’s brand — despite recommendations by the OCE for discipline.
Amid protests and ethics concerns, Donald Jr and Eric Trump cut the ribbon on a new hotel in Vancouver, built and financed by one of Malaysia’s richest families.
A businesswoman who touts access to China, purchased a $16 million penthouse at Trump Park Avenue. Trump retains an economic interest in the property.
Although an order to stay Trump’s Muslim Ban is in place, problems continued including Muhammad Ali Jr. being detained in a Florida airport, and French historian and expert on the Holocaust, Henry Russo, who was threatened with deportation while traveling to a discussion at Texas A&M.
Stories continue to describe the State Department’s diminishing role. State Dept staff are being excluded from meeting with foreign leaders, leadership posts are going unfilled, and many employees are quitting. Trump also had threatened to slash the budget by one-third.
The State Department has not held a single daily briefing under Tillerson. Daily briefings had been the norm since the 1950s. Limited daily briefings are set to begin next week.
The State Department tweeted, then deleted, a congratulatory message to an Iranian director for winning an Oscar.
Trump escalated his war on the media, telling Breitbart the NYT’s “intent is so evil and bad,” and that “they write lies.”
Trump delivered a de facto SOTU speech, read from a teleprompter. Although his manner was mild, the content continued to be nationalistic and negative. The Center for American Progress said that of Trump 61 statements, 51 were false.
Also refuting Trump’s SOTU, The Brennan Center for Justice noted, “Nationally, crime remains at the bottom of a 25-year downtrend, half of what it was at its peak in 1991. Last year, rates of overall crime fell for the 14th year in a row.”
Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg did not attend Trump’s SOTU, nor did Maxine Waters.
The Democratic women of the House wore the white of the Suffragists at Trump’s SOTU to show support of women’s rights.
Trump officials fed news outlets misinformation on a shift in Trump’s immigration plans — hinting the time might be right for an immigration bill — ahead of the SOTU. CNN reported Trump misled reporters to get positive coverage.
The NYT reported that the Obama administration had rushed to preserve information on the Trump team’s ties to Russia, spreading it to government agencies.
Also reported by the NYT: American allies, including the British and the Dutch, provided the Obama administration with information on meetings between Russian officials and the Trump regime in European cities.
A bombshell story by WAPO reported that Sessions met with Russian ambassador twice, but did not disclose those meetings when asked during this Senate confirmation hearing.
Sessions first spoke with Kislyak in Cleveland on July 18 — the same day the Trump campaign gutted the GOP’s platform of its anti-Russia stance on Ukraine. On July 23, WikiLeaks released stolen emails from the DNC.
The WSJ reported that Sessions used campaign funds to pay for his trip to the RNC Convention, where he met the Russian ambassador.
At a next day press conference, Sessions recused himself from Trump investigations, but during the campaign only.
As the controversy continued, Sessions said he would submit an amended testimony to address Democratic senators’ questions.
POLITICO reported that Trump adviser Carter Page also met with Kislyak at the RNC Convention. While in office, Harry Reid had asked Comey to investigate Carter, saying he was also meeting with “high ranking sanctioned individuals” in Moscow.
Carter told MSNBC he had met with Kislyak, then seemed to backtrack on CNN to say he never spoke with him for more than 10 seconds.
Kushner and Flynn also met with Kislyak at the Trump Tower in December. Of note, given the venue and people involved, this points to Trump having direct knowledge of the meeting.
CNN reported that US Intelligence considers Kislyak to be one of Russia’s top spies and spy-recruiters in Washington.
Kislyak did not attend the DNC Convention.
Trump team forced Nikki Haley to fire career staffers who she had asked for advice on how to talk tough with Russia.
A front page story in USA Today reported that emails released under a FOIA request to The Indianapolis Star, show Pence used personal email for state business while governor, including for sensitive matters and homeland security issues, and that his personal AOL account was hacked.
The next day, Pence turned over 13 boxes of state-related emails to the Indiana statehouse — a step required by law.
Trump’s transition team canceled planned training on ethics for his staff, appointees and Cabinet members.
Rachel Maddow reported on a leaked DHS assessment document which indicates most US-based extremists radicalized years after entry into the US. These findings negate the main argument made by the Trump regime for their Muslim Ban, and may explain why they have yet to release the new version frequently promised to be coming soon.
Inhumane round-ups by ICE continued, including a father of four US-born children who has lived here for 20 years, while dropping his kids off at school.
A 22 year-old immigrant was detained by ICE moments after a press conference. She was 7 when her family moved to the US from Argentina, placing her under DACA immigration policy.
Spicer was reported to be checking his staff phones for leaks.
Reuters reported on stepped up efforts by the Trump regime to plug leaks, including Mnuchin using his first senior staff meeting to inform his aides that he would not tolerate leaks.
Top talent continues to leave the already thinly staffed executive branch over poor morale and fear of Trump.
FP reported that the Trump WH is considering using high-end security software for WH networks in an effort to stop leaks.
Schwarzenegger quit The Celebrity Apprentice, citing too much “baggage” — a clear shot at Trump. Trump continues his role as Executive Producer of the show (which we’ve normalized!).
Trump fired back via Twitter this next day claiming Schwarzenegger was fired because of low ratings. Schwarzenegger told him to hire a fact checker.
As stories continued all week about Trump and his team’s ties to Russia, offering no proof, Trump accused Obama of wiretapping phones in Trump Tower, tweeting, “This is Nixon/Watergate. Bad (or sick) guy!”
As the week closed out, Trump yet again headed to Mar-a-Lago for the weekend, after leaving the WH at 3 p.m. on Friday. Trump has yet to visit Camp David.
Some Things We’ve Already Normalized:
Trump’s sons are continuing to conduct business from which Trump has a direct economic benefit.
Our executive branch is vastly understaffed, and Trump and his regime seem to make little effort at hiring (consolidation of power).
Our media (some) continue to push the notion of a Trump “reset,” and seek to normalize Trump and his regime.
Comey continues to NOT cooperate with Congress in hearings. We also do not know the status of the DOJ inquiry into Comey and the FBI, and whether this has been allowed to continue under Sessions.

Part 1: When is it justified for spying on someone
Of course, many people would object to the existence of applications that could potentially give harassers more power and resources. However, this is a trait of human nature; some will abuse technology, as benevolent as it is. Most of the spy applications were created for modern day parenting and other ethical causes. So, if you are someone in the grip of an ethical dilemma as to whether it is normal for spying on someone’s mobile phone without his knowledge.
Part 1: When is it justified for spying on someone
Parents watching over their children
Again, this is a controversial issue. Some say that children have the right to privacy; some say that confidentiality is a privilege and not a right. Be that as it may, we all agree that children and adolescents are impressionable and susceptible to being bullied, scammed, etc. According to one study, one in three children has regrets in having done one thing online before the age of 16. As the parents, it is your responsibility to offer them the protection, by all means necessary.
Employers monitoring their employees through business phones
It is perfectly legal and acceptable to follow all the activities of your employees while they work. They are not supposed to immerse themselves in personal work and send personal SMS to work, so it’s entirely your responsibility to keep a close eye on them. Most of the organization use controlling lock on the computers of their employees, so that they use the computers for the office work only.
Take a spouse or small friend in the act of deception
This is still a rather fuzzy legal and moral area, so you should do it in moderation and with great caution. Sometimes you feel deep in your guts that your partner is cheating on you. It causes you pain and anxiety, but you cannot do anything about it. If you try to approach the subject directly, they will tell you that you are stupid. But deep down, you know it. You cannot prove it. You are convinced of it. In this case, it makes sense for spying on your boyfriend’s or girlfriend’s phone and be sure your suspicions were true, or simply dispel your suspicions and simply move on.
In all these cases, it might be justified for spying on someone’s phone without having to touch it. So read on to find out how for spying on a cell phone without access.
Part 2: How for spying on a mobile phone without access using TheTruthSpy
Part 2: How for spying on a mobile phone without access using TheTruthSpy
There are many spy apps for Android and different iPhone spy apps on the market, many of them are very powerful. You should go through all of them to find out exactly how you will choose the ideal spy app for your needs. Nevertheless, we have found that one of the most complete applications, which are also very powerful in terms of functionality and reliability, is TheTruthSpy.
How for spying on cell phones without access
TheTruthSpy remains the most reliable and the best name on the market for several reasons:
It has a number of features.
It is sold at very competitive prices.
TheTruthSpy can create a connection with a phone that you want to spy on. And once the connection is created, you can access all the information on the target phone.
It’s great for iPhone users, since there’s no need for the iPhone to be unbridled, which can be easily detected, and also leaves the phone vulnerable to spyware.
Spy on a mobile phone using TheTruthSpy:
You can easily track a smart device by using the GPS tracker.
You can fully access all the multimedia in the gallery, and any multimedia sent, received or deleted from the phone.
You can intercept SMS messages sent from any device and view them in real time.
You can have complete logs of the phone calls that are sent or received, as well as how long they have lasted.
Follow the call log
You can also access the coordinates of the person at the other end of this line.
You can block selected contents on the target device by using this software.
You can remotely control the phone and all its features and applications from the dashboard you have access to after purchasing the app.

American Amnesia: A Case For Why Trump’s Administrative Evils Do Not Make bush Good
http://thehill.com/homenews/news/357109-poll-dems-have-favorable-view-of-george-w-bush
It's come to my attention lately that my fears have been verified, that a bunch of nice celebrity guest appearances and speeches condemning the obvious evils of white supremacy has worn away at American contempt towards one of their most vicious and prolific abusers. The news cycle has noticeably begun to handle this assassin of American moral character with kid gloves and in the ire & fire of public outrage against out current manchild-in-chief, his image has been successfully re-rehabilitated.
This is not okay.
Lets just go over some things this man has done:
The authorization of military force that has been used for years well into the Obama and now Trump administration to 'fight the war on terror' was tasked originally with hunting down Osama Bin Laden and deconstructing Al Quaeda, both of which were adequately accomplished. This same declaration fresh after 9/11 has been used to justify the executive branch occupying the countries of Afghanistan, Niger, Iraq, Libya (during the ousting of Ghaddafi), and many other countries. Normally wars have to be authorized via a congressional declaration of war, but the lawful lawlessness of every executive branch in the use of military force since Could Not have happened without this man.
This man also capitalized on 9/11 to push through the P.A.T.R.I.O.T. Act, an act which has effectively suspended habeus corpus & our fourth amendment rights, allowing the government clearance to access our personal information via a rubber stamp covering large swaths of many millions of Americans or if just suspected to be an enemy of the state.
The deployment of the Cuban naval station Guantanamo Bay as an extra-judicial prison designed to hold (largely foreign) captured enemies of the state in cruel conditions, & often subject to periods of torture during interrogation, began in 2002 not long after this man was elected. Part of Obama's path to the whitehouse was the broken promise of closing this HellHole, which stands in opposition to anything we ever say about human rights on an international stage.
This man was the progenitor of the drone program which left mechanized aerial warfare to what are fundamentally death machines in the sky. A military tactic we've used for taking out targets of interest, & that has resulted in the murder of many thousands of people unrelated to threats to our national security, for simply being in the wrong place at the wrong time & they are used to murder doctors, rescuers, and mourners after the job is sloppily done
https://www.salon.com/…/u_s_drones_targeting_rescuers_and_…/
I normally hate a lot about Salon.com, but Glen Greenwalds article & the information presented in it can be corroborated by many sources.
The double-tap drone strike designed to hurt civilians is a war crime, it threatens our safety on the world stage, and it is us allowing our government cannibalize any sense of honor we hold claim to.
Footage of helicopters killing 10 men in a street of Baghdad (including two journalists for Reuters) were leaked by the private Bradley Manning to Wikileaks and published under the title 'collateral murder'. A van stopped to assist the wounded and was fired upon, two children were wounded and their father was murdered. Nothing happened to the people who committed this act.
Private Manning was imprisoned under conditions of solitary confinement, subject to torture & humiliation, and was essentially until the ass end of the Obama administration thrown away for life for bringing to light this and other leaks to inform the American people of a war crime committed by their government.
During the election that 'won' him the presidency, the state of Florida (then governed by Jeb Bush) purged 50,000 black votes in an election that was critically close in terms of delegates. The supreme court would decide the outcome of the lawsuit that would follow, filed by Al Gore, two court judges both having been appointed by this mans father George H.W. Bush. Not to mention, this man attempted to appoint his own personal lawyer as a SC justice.
This man infected the educational system of the United States with curriculum centered around unscientific ideas such as intelligent design in direct opposition to evolutionary biology, abstinence only sex education which resulted in continued upward teen birthrates, and with the institution of No Child Left Behind the emphasis on education was placed upon student performance on standardized testing. This resulted in failing students dropping from public school, low scoring schools being punished in terms of funding, and the general destruction of well rounded educations designed in part to teach critical thinking skills.
This man carpet bagged someone whose primary experience was in the Rodeo Show business to be the head of FEMA who would then oversee a failure to appropriately respond to the disaster of hurricane Katrina. Chaos would ensue in New Orleans & it was a dramatic blow to American confidence in disaster repose.
This man withdrew from the Kyoto protocol on greenhouse gasses & undermined American regulation on the environment by defunding enforcement agencies, & disbanding a pledge to tax carbon emissions. This has set the United States back basically a generation in terms of the environment on top of what we now have with Trump.
This man had the audacity to cut funding for veterans he was sending out to war, gutting services to them by billions of dollars.
In fact, this man so skyrocketed the use of mercenaries that at the height of the Iraq war there were more private military contractors in Iraq than actual army soldiers. These mercenary companies like Blackwater would be implicated in various war crimes, where civilians would be, again, slaughtered by men who would face no fucking punishment or trial.
This man used false evidence through then defense secretary Colin Powell to justify an illegal war in the face of UN opposition, implicating Iraq in the events of 9/11 and as having amassed weapons of mass destruction with intent to kill Americans on the US mainland. Also using the testimony of an acrimonious political prisoner of Saddam Hussein code-named 'Curveball' to implicate the regime in Iraq further in falsified WMD claims.
This man had twice as many CIA (not FBI) agents fighting the failed war on drugs than he did tasked with even investigating terrorism.
This man was the first president to initiate 'free speech zones', not content to just monitor our speech but to tell us how we were allowed to protest and where.
This man assaulted abortion rights for women, defunding family planning institutions designed to help those who needed abortions. An actual ban was instituted on stem cell research, which set medical research back for years (they even made a South Park episode about it). He opposed gay marriage and continued DACA, maintaining the homophobic-ally motivated national ban on same sex marriage.
the bright side of his being president was the fact that he decided to leave when he had to.
This man was a national embarrassment, his capacity for constant gaffes even created the popularization of the 'bushism', these brought us humiliation whenever we made the mistake of turning on the news-you could look them up but I'll link here a compilation that demonstrates his capacity to fuck up worse than even Trump https://youtu.be/Be6tunbRcs8
This man is now LIKED BY THE MAJORITY OF DEMOCRATS & I know what this is, this is that Democrats are typically younger and don't remember what went on. And hey, nobody has to agree with me that as far as impact on social/economic/legal/foreign issues his administration is worse than currently is Donald Trumps by miles, & definitely the Obama administration.
But he's not 'good'. If there is a hell, this man is as good as there already. The evil shit that he was up to, I mean, you just aren't informed to me if you have a positive opinion of him at this point. I question your political judgement in all things if you like the shit was doing, or think at all that some bullshit speeches taking swipes at the man that tossed his brother around like a RagDoll compensates for the institutionalized suffering of human lives & the environment committed by him. I don't even think you can have sincerely held liberal or even libertarian principles if you like him, he appeals to a very authoritarian and ultra-conservative side of politics and exercised those tendencies in the ugliest of ways. He is a war criminal who should remain shunned by all media circles, & you should be distrustful of Anyone who gives him a platform in the media.
I don't even capitalize his name when I type it, this man is and will always be george w. bush to me. This borderline illiterate moron with his entire family dynasty has ruined much of what actually made our country great.
I don't normally like to make posts this long and drawn out in details, but I just found out about this & its verified my fears about the re-calcification of positive sentiment towards bush in the mainstream media, & this is just intensely demoralizing for me on a visceral level. I am frustrated with the political amnesia of my countrymen, and also their underlying lack of political principle. I don't want to harp too much on this but let this post be a testament to the fact that I have no tolerance for this man & neither should any of you Even if you have political beliefs aligned with him on some of the social issues or on things like taxes, (which I didn't even mention the bush tax cuts) but there's probably like a thousand ways this guy could have fucked up in a single year I could talk about.
Bottom line: things are ugly right now.

it’s not often these days that something stops her in her tracks. mouth opens then closes again, searching for what may be the correct words - if any are correct, in this situation. head is tilted sidelong, eyes partially squinted as they take him in before she simply shrugs. well, she’s seen stranger. duffle bag is dropped to the ground and her gloved hands are soon searching for her medical supplies.
❝ do you need assistance? i have more ... fitting supplies. something better than duct tape. ❞

"... Uhhh..." He's been caught in somewhat of a sticky (can he get "caught taping my arm back to its socket with duct tape" for five-hundred, alex?) situation but, hey, he's been through worse. TARGET : GOJO, SATORU.
❝ does it really matter ? same difference , right ? ❞ the sorcerer completely brushes off her suggestion , raising an open hand to wave it metaphorically away from the subject at hand .( as one might expect of satoru : he is nothing if not observant of things . right now , his eyes rest on the book that his stray was holding , noting that for what it was worth , the doll seemed to be exceptional at recreating images . down to the shading . where satoru remembered a lot , he didn’t remember everything to her extent , so this much was impressive . )
❝ oh , is that the way it looks to you ? ❞ the man raise a brow in her direction , as animated as ever to express what he was feeling . ❝ they might not know how to interact with you ’, though ; has that crossed your mind ? there’s a good chance that they’re as nervous of you as you are about them . ❞
❝ no, there is a difference - and there’s no such thing as a same difference. that’s an oxymoron. ❞ she corrects with an almost frustrating neutrality.
she truly is attentive. everything is remembered in great detail, even if she does not mean it to be. even if she does not want it to be. no image memorized moreso than her past - the lab where she’d been born and then killed, stripped of all humanity and turned into something else. something not-human, a bastardization of carlo collodi’s whimsical tale of wooden puppet turned real boy. how she envied him when she’d first read the tale, uncertain if she wished for freedom or for the peace of giving up and simply being resin all her life.
but she is not and if she chose that path, it would be spit in gojo’s face after all he’d done to save her. still, grateful as she is, she cannot grant him what he seems to want from her in this moment.
❝ i’m not nervous. why would i make them nervous? ❞ the way her slit - pupiled eyes peer at gojo should be an answer to that question in and of themselves, but she doesn’t seem to think so.

ah. well, that hadn’t been part of the plan. in the stranger’s hands is a cheap little plastic flip phone bearing the image of hello kitty --- a trifle she typically abandons once a job is completed. most restaurants would’ve assumed it was simply a children’s toy and tossed it without a care in the world. she smiles politely, accepts the trinket in a gloved hand.

TARGET : BENNETT, MERCEDES.
@rahbid sent: ❝ you need someone. let me be that person. let me be what you need. ❞
sadie is silent for a long moment before she lets out a bark of a laugh. her head tilts back with the effort. “ listen, just between you and me, i think i’ll be okay. ” a smile, though it doesn’t quite reach her eyes. the earnestness of the statement really shook sadie. she’s gonna try not to let it affect her, though. she’s been fine for years– sadie really doesn’t need anyone. [ really! i promise! i’ve been okay forever! ]
“ i appreciate the effort and the concern, but i’m…alright. ” she looks away from jezebel, then back. just look at me. at least i’m not dead yet. that’s gotta count for something, right? ”
jezebel isn’t stupid. she’s attentive, sees how sadie’s smile stops halfway to genuine. from anyone else, laughter at her offer would have been downright offensive - but not now, not with sadie. blonde simply leans in closer, never lets the earnestness slip from her lavender gaze, smiles so easy.
❝ why be alive when you could thrive? ❞ she isn’t sure what makes her like this, need to be needed twisting in her stomach like a knife.❝ i can give you anything you could imagine and then some. you’d never have to worry about a thing - you just need to say yes. ❞

TARGET : DIO.
@rahbid | lyric-based starters
❝ jezebel. ❞ his pointed fingertips linger lightly upon her soft skin; a smug, wicked smile crossing his face as he cups her chin with his hand, tilting her head back to meet his inquiring eyes. ❝ have you ever wondered why I, DIO, am so divine? ❞
she looks utterly unamused. one gloved hand comes up, the back of it pressing to his wrist and moving his grip away from her face.
❝ not particularly. ❞ she feels her own vampiric lineage, however distant, answers the question - unless he’s talking about his own delusions of grandeur, which intrigue her even less. ❝ though, i suppose you’ll be telling me anyway. ❞
#shes so rude but smth about her gently moving his hand away instead of Thwacking him is so funny 2 me#im already delighted by whatever is happening here thank u#「 ACCESS FILE :// JJBA. 」: i don’t want to start any blasphemous rumors.#「 ACCESS FILE :// ACTING. 」: the moral here is: i will gut you if i need to.#rejectshumanity
