I had the idea of an ex-girlfriend for Emil and she's finally designed!

This is Letícia Fernanda Almeida-Soares. Her mother is a real estate agent and her father is an architect, so architecture and buildings are her element. Unlike Emil, she tends to favor more elaborate and expensive buildings rather than finding charm in the simple things. Though Letícia is able to reel people in, her superficiality and jealousy tends to drive them away just as quickly. She was able to convince a more naive Emil that she was good at heart and genuinely cared about him, but Emil broke things off with her once he caught Letícia bringing Jewel to tears. Letícia wanted Emil all to herself, which wasn't possible with his devotion to his family (especially Jewel, who was still young at the time and didn't really have anyone else to cling to due to their mother's favoritism towards Azula). Letícia even tried to entice Emil with the chance of realizing his dreams under her father's wing, but he refused to abandon his sister.
