𓂃 ࣪˖ ִֶָཐིཋྀ — STARTER CALL ( @peelbacktheveil )
"Hey, Maximoo..." Vivian absentmindedly calls out from behind before inching her way closer towards him until her bosom was mere inches away from pressing against his chest. Honestly, despite not exactly being mindful of his personal space, she was still careful enough to not let their bodies make direct contact. Still, if he were to suddenly bring himself to fully turn around, then her head may accidentally collide against his chest.
"Guess what? You'll be my conversation partner starting from today!" Vivian announces. Of course, she stated this as though it were a mere fact, leaving no room for a potential rejection from him, meaning for better or worse, Max truly didn't have much choice in the matter. Why, one way or another, she was going to talk his ears off. "Anywho... let's start off by talking about something you must enjoy more than a normal amount - photos! You like taking them, right? Do you have any featuring blue butterflies or stained glass windows?"

"Y-You got it all wrong! It's not like you leaving me for a harem of women would make me upset or anything! I-I just don't want either of us getting laid," Vivian's quick to splutter aloud with cheeks practically set ablaze by his misguided assumption. Of course, despite uttering out such a tsundere-ish line, she was frankly telling the truth, for there was nothing worse than her friend suddenly becoming a normie while she continued hyperfixating over 2D men. Honestly, if she couldn't score a date, then neither could Max... or anyone else for that matter.
Why, it may have been too pure and idealistic for her to expect her friends to remain single forever, but to this day, Vivian believed there was a certain sanctimony that could only be gleaned from friendships while actual relationships themselves happened to be a burdensome union that relied on two parties having a consistent supply of oxytocin and other chemical reactions dwelling within their brain in order to even stay smitten with each other. "But when it comes to women, you definitely can't fall for one that isn't 2D! In fact, I absolutely forbid it," Vivian then stresses, shaking her head the same way a possessive child might.
Either way, in an attempt to subsequently divert the conversation elsewhere, she'll soon cough into a fist before focusing her gaze back onto his laptop screen. "R-Right, I shall have a little look-see then..." Vivian agrees, and true to her word, she'll start sifting through the pictures on his laptop with brows furrowed together like she was seriously concentrated on the task at hand. "Say, Maximoo... do you always conveniently carry your laptop around with you?" came her eventual query the moment she settles on a picture that consisted of various black and blue hues. Truth be told, she wasn't the sort of person who could remain quiet for very long, to the point where at some point, she would disrupt the silence by yapping away.
Ah, he supposed Shakespearean was making a comeback into the lingo of today. Good, he quite enjoyed the works of good old William. Perhaps he could break out that old theatre experience of his once again. He did rather miss performing.
"A new lock screen for your phone? And you wanted to look at my pictures for that? Well, I'm quite touched to say the least.." He hummed as he opened up his photos. He had to sift through a few graveyards and abandoned buildings, but eventually he found a few.. brilliant blue windows, with sunlight shining through them to give an azure glow to the glass.
He let out a chuckle at her declaration. "Ah, I see. A... hunky.. giga.. what..?" He wasn't familiar with some of the newer slang, it seemed. But harem, that much he understood, "Ah, you fear me leaving you for some harem of women? Haha, well, no need to fear. I would gladly say I much prefer your company over women I hardly know. So.. hopefully that puts your mind at ease, a bit."
She scooted the laptop over toward her gently. "Here. Why don't you take a look through these? Maybe you'll find something that tickles your fancy, hm?"

So he had more pictures of stained glass windows than blue butterflies? Though a disappointed pout would inevitably worm it's way through her lips, her eyes would still shimmer with hope, because maybe Max ended up snapping some pretty blue tiles she could 'ooh' and 'ahh' at. Regardless, she'll soon nod, utter out a quick, "Okey-dokes!", and obediently trail after him before taking a seat next to his right.
Of course, rather than twiddle her thumbs together while waiting for him to find stuff, Vivian would lean over to stare at his laptop screen instead; only, the moment Max directs a query her way, she'll absentmindedly shift her gaze back towards him.
"What an easy question to answer! 'Tis because it fits my personal aesthetic and I've been seeking a new lock screen for my phone," she finally informs him, paying no particular heed to the fact she had randomly slipped in a Shakespearan word while speaking. "Plus, I needed an excuse to come bug you! Why, had I not brought you back to planet Earth, you may have collided against a tree or worse... get run over by a truck, causing you to become isekai-ed to an entirely different dimension! And we definitely can't have that, could we? No, I must continue tethering you to this world in order to prevent you from reincarnating as a hunky Gigachad with enough rizz to score a harem of your own!" Vivian goes on to add.
...Needless to say, it seemed she remains blissfully unaware to the fact Max had already died once. Then again, this very girl had yet to even realize a friend of hers had supernatural powers to this very day, so it probably wasn't all that surprising she would treat him like any ordinary human being.
Max had been in a trance up until the moment Vivian called out to him. He looked back toward her, noting the closeness between them and promptly stepping away, just a bit, to leave them a bit more room between them. She'd feel the chill of his body if she touched him, and he didn't want to explain why he was as cold as the grave..
"Is that so? Very well. I accept this honor with grace and humility." He spoke in an attempted light-hearted tone as he turned to properly face her. "Blue butterflies or stained glass windows, hm... I'll have to look for butterflies, but stained glass windows I have plenty of."
Well, at the very least, broken ones from abandoned churches.. places he frequented. "Come, have a seat, I'll show you." He pulled his laptop out of his bag, opening up as he took a seat nearby. "Let's see.. stained glass..."
He'd have to sift through the various pictures of abandoned buildings and moonlit graveyards.. but he would find something for her at some point. "Why the interest in those specifically? Not the most common topic of photography, I'm afraid."
