at some point im going to assimilate all the headcanons i've dropped in nine and i's server here but for now you all get to live with the knowledge that bl.ade is actually a touch taller and broader than ying.xing was. ying.xing was still quite muscular given all his time at the forge (comparable to jing y.uan, though an inch or so shorter and not AS built), but as bl.ade, even more so - because the abundance emanator genes keep on giving.

Really enjoying the idea of dan feng’s great sin being attempting to basically turn ying xing into a vidyadhara (the one abomination that jingliu has to kill repeatedly - and we know she killed blade over and over and over). i’m too tired to provide more evidence on this but it may be something that i incorporate into my canon given the MAXIMUM ANGST POTENTIAL and how it actually. makes A LOT of sense.

listen, I love re.nheng but some ppl really be stretching bla.de’s character to make him ‘soft’ or even functional for the sake of a happy ending or healthy relationship with dh and it makes me laugh. like saying that the smile he exhibits right before his combat scene with DH means he was happy to see him… I mean yea I guess they’re not wrong in the sense he was happy to attempt murder 🤷🏻‍♀️
