[Huali purred softly, shifting to get down from Zhongli and standing below, looking up at them, moving to climb up Diluc and take the boy who squirmed in her hold]

“Buh-bye! Have fun talking… adult things…???”

[With that, she pulled Merlot out of the room with her and upstairs]

[Her expression softened slightly, sidling closer before wrapping her arms around him, softly purring, quiet and hesitant but there]

[The door slowly creaks open, Hualis head peeking into the room cautiously, inching her way in until she can see Zhongli, letting out a quiet breath before beginning to sneak her way back out of the room]

HURT / COMFORT : STARTERS

Pain was far from unfamiliar for her, after many scuffles with very angry salesmen she wasn’t unfamiliar with the damage that came with it, so be the consequences of stealing, then scurrying to Baizhu after an injury, hoping to just get away with just a few patches but after a few times of coming here she had very quickly learned that Baizhu would not let her pass until she was treated, at least getting wounds treated and covered.

Today wasn’t too different, a theft gone wrong and a bruised and bloody dragonet appearing in Bubu pharmacy.

Her nose wrinkled, snarling at Baizhu when his fingers touched a blooming bruise, her tail curling around her form as she whined quietly, shuffling back into the corner and tucking to hide her face in the turtleneck of her shirt, holding her arm close, peeking at him for a moment before looking away.

“It..” She mumbled, hesitating to speak for a moment… but the answer would get out of her one way or another and she’d rather go through the easy route…

“My… arm hurts and… my tail,” Huali mumbled, gesturing to the bloodied and bruised arm she was keeping closely cuddled to her side, then, with her mostly uninjured arm, pointing to her tail that had a several patches of bloodied, broken scales, before looking away and shuffling back into place, hiding her face behind her knees, “That’s… where it hurts the most..”

HURT / COMFORT : STARTERS

She had been angry, for the first time in awhile, clawing into whatever she could and ripping it, apparently, the maids and such had reported her hostile behavior towards them to Diluc, and in the meantime, she had put herself in her own room.

Her tail was wrapped around her, sitting in a makeshift nest of stuffing and fabrics from tearing apart her comforter and pillow, staring at the gap that was beside her that was too big for her to fill, where her father should have been.

Huali wanted to scream, to snarl and tear apart the nest but she couldn’t find herself able to, tearing up as she stared at the gap. Her first nest felt so empty.

She didn’t know why she found herself sobbing now, but she did, curling up to clutch on to her tail, curling up into a little ball and laying down, it felt so cold, so empty, so she turned her back to it, facing the wall as she cried, whining out softly for her papa, for someone, “I don’t want to be alone… please…” She whispered, body wracking with sobs.

Then, warm arms wrapped around her, in a haze of grief, she snuggled into them, finding warmth and no longer alone, her tail wrapping around him and her clawed hands gripping into his shirt, sobbing into him. She wasn’t alone, “please… promise… you won’ go…”

“I don’t know if I should be worried or not at the fact Merlot ate grass.”

The lady, Mila Mercender, was traveling alone, a sigh leaving her lips. This was the first time she ever left her nation after being asleep for who knows how long. "Oh dear.. this is quite the travel.." She muttered to herself, adjusting the bag on her shoulders.

Her purple dress was short enough to not reach the floor, making Mila smile softly. She walked into Liyue harbor, expecting nothing- though she was in awe at how beautiful the city was.

She smiled brightly as she watched the children play in the streets, greeting people when they greeted her while walking past her.

"Huh? Oh-!" She was bumped into by something small- no, someone small at that. "Are you okay, sweetie?" She kneeled down, opting to help the child up.

[Huali had been up to her usual… stealing- hobbies, claws wrapped around the bag she had grabbed stashed with a few goodies, focused on the approaching Millelith behind her rather then the woman blocking her exit, crashing into her leg with more force then she intended, squeaking as the bag tumbled from her hold, tilting her head up]

“…’m fine.”

[Rather than accepting the help she was offered, she focused on gathering the few foods that had slipped from her bag, along with the other item, a blanket, tucking it into the bag and looking back hesitating for a moment, hiding the bag in front of her from the millelith behind her, quickly wrapping her arms around the strange woman]

“I’m sorry! I’m sorry!! Are you okay miss?!”

[She feigned distress for a moment until the millelith had passed, keeping her arms wrapped around the woman before giving a cheeky grin, letting go and quickly pulling her hands back to her chest]

“Sorry… again…”

“If the Millelith asks, I wasn’t here. M’kay? If anyone else asks, I also wasn’t here! I was over there! Mhm. It’s better not to tell them… you can trust me on this! I pinky promise!”
