vincent's bodily changes due to his fusion with chaos : covers his status of being alive or not , his food intake and how sleeping works for him now .

ㅤㅤㅤdue  mainly  to  his  death  thirty  years  before  being  awoken  by  𝘤𝘭𝘰𝘶𝘥  &  co. ,  at  the  hands  of  𝘩𝘰𝘫𝘰  &  the  integration  of  chaos  into  his  body  at  the  hands  of  𝘭𝘶𝘤𝘳𝘦𝘤𝘪𝘢  there  are  very  few  things  vincent  actually  needs  to  do  in  terms  of  "being  human" .  though  he  often  will  do  certain  things  either  because  it  is  habit  or  because  he  wants  to  (  mostly  when  it  comes  to  sleeping  or  eating  though  i  would  like  to  highlight  he  does  not  sleep  like  other  people  &  it's  a  different  process  ) .

ㅤㅤㅤin  all  senses  of  the  term  ,  vincent  is  technically  undead  ,  though  not  truly  immortal .  he  definitely  could  be  killed  again  but  it  is  unclear  if  he  would  ever  truly  die  due  to  the  fact  that  even  if  he  may  return  to  the  lifestream  who  is  to  say  due  to  his  body  being  spliced  with  chaos  that  he'll  truly  stay  there  for  good  as  chaos  always  shows  up  when  the  planet  need  it  with  it's  role  as  a  weapon .  even  though  at  the  end  of  the  events  that  led  him  to  confront  𝘥𝘦𝘦𝘱𝘨𝘳𝘰𝘶𝘯𝘥  &  the  𝘵𝘴𝘷𝘪𝘦𝘵𝘴  ,  he  will  never  be  fully  free  of  the  entity  he  shares  a  body  with  due  to  the  rough  splicing  of  the  two  that  took  place  when  it  was  first  implanted  in  his  body .

ㅤㅤㅤwhen  it  comes  to  food  i  do  believe  he  eats  sometimes  and  it  mainly  is  only  because  he  wants  to  or  something  catches  his  attention  enough  for  him  to  want  it  ,  however  ,  he  never  truly  feels  hunger  how  a  human  does .  there  is  a  different  hunger  that  can  sit  within  him  ,  one  that  craves  bloodshed  ,  though  that  is  due  to  chaos  &  the  galian  beast .  often  it  only  breaks  through  when  one  of  the  two  entities  takes  over  ,  and  often  when  he  reverts  back  to  his  human  form  ,  he  is  stuck  with  the  consequence  of  the  other  form's  behavior  during  that  time  when  it  comes  to  indulging  on  fiends  &  enemies  alike .

ㅤㅤㅤwith  sleeping  ,  as  mentioned  before  ,  he  does  sleep  though  how  sleep  works  for  him  is  different  than  it  was  before  his  death .  when  he  sleeps  he  is  inundated  with  flashes  of  his  past  ,  specifically  past  mistakes  &  regrets  that  haunt  him .  if  not  that  ,  then  he  is  often  stuck  with  interactions  with  chaos  ,  ones  that  leave  vincent  more  exhausted  afterwards  than  he  was  when  he  originally  went  to  sleep .  also  ,  due  to  the  push  &  pull  between  chaos  and  the  protomateria  in  his  body  vincent  is  afflicted  with  chronic  fatigue  ,  often  no  matter  how  much  he  sleep  he  gets  ,  he  rarely  feels  relief  (  and  this  is  a  reason  he  is  often  seen  with  his  eyes  closed  as  if  he's  dozing  ,  sometimes  it's  just  too  much  to  keep  his  eyes  open  ) .

the fact that this is his reaction to seeing those hext.ech weapon plans next to sky's journal , after being in shock that he was in fact alive. he wanted the hexc.ore gone , he knows he wasn't supposed to survive and the choice of his own mortality in a way was taken from him. i think there is also some form of survivors guilt because the hexco.re killed sky but saved him. now the very thing he didn't want , he.xtech being used for weapons again , is staring him right in the face.

CLOTHING / GENERAL ATTIRE :

sasori’s general attire when they weren’t fighting is pretty generic, they still prefer all monochrome clothes, finding the simplicity nice. generally they didn’t travel far or much if it wasn’t for their work with SOLDIER

their fighting attire was also all black, the only while on their outfit being the weapon holster for their spear

sasori after they left shinra and SOLDIER often sticks to blacks and soft grays, mostly as a comfort and the fact it helps them blend into crowds of people / slink into the shadows without them needing to do too much to hide their present

EARLY LIFE :

sasori was born from the jenova project similar to sephiroth, genesis rhapsodos, and angeal hewley, born not too long after sephiroth, though their creation mirrored sephiroth, them having been injected with jenova cells while in a fetus state

they are now aware of their father being professor hojo ( their mother is still unknown to them ), however growing up their parents were unknown to them, growing up they simply only knew of their mother as ‘jenova’, similar to sephiroth

generally they were always fairly nice and warm with the other around them, always trying to make new recruitments into SOLDIER feel welcome and always trying to include people in things they were doing

growing up they were often compared to sephiroth by professor hojo, as the two were very similar and fairly close as they grew up together, sasori only being a bit younger than sephiroth.

 hojo was known to often compare the two, even to sasori’s face, due mostly to the fact that while sasori was created in the same way sephiroth was they were never quite as strong as he was

sasori wasn’t too concerned with this however, in fact they were comfortable being in his shadow, something that often was brought up / noted and led to how they were often known or referred to - ‘the shadow soldier’

NIBELHEIM INCIDENT :

sasori was sent to assist sephiroth and his entourage in investigating a monster outbreak near the town's mako reactor, sticking close to the group and helping them get through the city

once they were in the reactor and being faced with the monster in pods and the pod that was simply named ‘jenova’, sasori attempted to deescalate the situation brewing due to zack fair and genesis’s words that seemed to dig into sephiroth’s skin, though admittedly they weren’t dealing with the information well

while dealing with their own reaction to the news of their so called “mother” being named jenova being the "woman" they’d seen within the reactor, they also found themself searching for answers at the shinra mansion alongside sephiroth, though after scratching the surface they decided to step away from it, afraid of what they’d find, leaving sephiroth with the advice he should stop looking as well

when they got the news of sephiroth’s attack on nibelheim they headed into the town and followed sephiroth’s path of destruction alongside zack fair, cloud and tifa. upon seeing tifa’s dead father and watching sephiroth cut down tifa and eject zack from the chamber they attempted to speak to him, to try and get him to realize what he was doing but in the end they were slashed across the face and upper chest by sephiroth’s masamune, rendering them fairly injured

upon waking up from their injuries, sasori’s attitude was permanently changed, no longer a warm, kind, or welcoming person. they often kept to themself after the incident, acting in very hollow actions and simply doing what was asked of them. eventually they found an opportunity to escape and the moment shook them out of their daze, though they are still very much introverted now.

CURRENTLY :

after escaping shinra they started laying low within the slums, mostly traveling and staying mostly within sector 7's slums

they mostly keep to themselves but can be found around town taking care of the monsters that make their way in / or are on the outskirts

will help people around if they can but they really try to keep to themself

they have, on occasion, aided avalanche in order to rebel against shinra in their own way but it's rare that they'd travel outside of the slums to help, unless the price was right or the blow would be big enough to shinra to count

a  little  collection  of  random  headcanons  for  vincent  that  are  all  too  short  to  be  their  own  post  :  covers  some  of  his  behaviors  ,  his  preferred  companions  &  activities  ,  food  &  eating  habits  ,  and  a  small  bit  of  his  emotions  surrounding  lucrecia

ㅤㅤㅤvincent  is  prone  to  bouts  of  selective  mutism  &  it  is  something  that  has  been  something  he's  dealt  with  since  childhood  ,  starting  when  his  mother's  illness  began  to  worsen  and  he  was  left  without  her  company  as  she  often  didn't  want  him  to  see  her  in  such  a  state. these  "episodes"  ceased  in  frequency  in  his  teenage  years  though  came  back  with  a  vengeance  upon  his  mother's  death  when  he  was  around  sixteen  years  old. this  has  carried  into  his  adult  years  as  there  are  times  the  energy  to  maintain  social  interactions  are  too  much  on  him  between  his  overstimulation  of  having  to  learn  everything  he'd  missed  for  the  past  30  years  but  also  the  drain  of  having  both  chaos  &  the  galian  beast  though  now  he's  more  willing  to  use  sign  in  order  to  communicate  even  if  it's  minimal  (  something  that  is  still  true  after  the  events  of  doc  as  even  with  chaos  returning  to  the  lifestream  he  still  deals  with  nightmares  &  the  galian  beast  ).

ㅤㅤㅤhe  doesn't  particularly  have  to  eat  in  order  to  survive  ,  something  clear  by  the  fact  he  slept  for  nearly  30  years  straight  but  he  will  eat  certain  things  as  there  are  very  few  foods  that  still  appeal  to  him. one  thing  he  will  very  rarely  turn  down  is  lemons  /  lemon  flavored  things. growing  up  outside  of  midgar  on  his  family  estate  they  had  a  lemon  tree  that  he  spent  a  lot  of  time  around  and  that  his  mother  often  used  to  make  various  foods  &  desserts  so  it  offers  a  warm  sense  of  nostalgia  that  he  won't  shove  away  (  for  once  ).

ㅤㅤㅤeven  with  the  ones  he  considers  friends  he  still  is  often  more  content  being  by  himself  ,  or  simply  sitting  with  other's  in  silence. he  also  does  tend  to  lean  towards  certain  activities  with  certain  member's  of  their  group;  training  with  𝘤𝘭𝘰𝘶𝘥  ,  helping  𝘵𝘪𝘧𝘢  cook  ,  inspecting  /  comparing  firearms  with  𝘣𝘢𝘳𝘳��𝘵  ,  examining  materia  w/  𝘺𝘶𝘧𝘧𝘪𝘦  ,  etc  ,  etc.

ㅤㅤㅤover  the  years  i  do  think  while  he  is  still  around  when  everyone  gets  together  ,  often  enough  he  can  be  found  hanging  around  more  with  𝘤𝘪𝘥  ,  𝘺𝘶𝘧𝘧𝘪𝘦  ,  and  occasionally  𝘵𝘪𝘧𝘢  if  he  happens  to  be  passing  through  edge. he  also  occasionally  finds  himself  in  contact  with  𝘤𝘢𝘪𝘵  𝘴𝘪𝘵𝘩  /  𝘳𝘦𝘦𝘷𝘦  as  well  ,  though  he  often  limits  himself  contact  as  he  finds  the  cat's  behaviors  &  attitude  exhausting.

ㅤㅤㅤhis  emotions  regarding  𝘭𝘶𝘤𝘳𝘦𝘤𝘪𝘢  𝘤𝘳𝘦𝘴𝘤𝘦𝘯𝘵  are  fairly  complicated  to  say  the  least. while  he  was  younger  ,  before  being  combined  with  chaos  ,  he  was  very  much  enthralled  with  her  ,  to  the  point  he  believed  his  infatuation  was  love. it  even  pushed  him  to  confront  hojo  ,  who  in  turn  murdered  him  &  used  him  as  little  more  than  an  experiment. generally  i  believe  while  he  might  always  carry  some  affection  or  gentleness  for  her  ,  the  monster  that  he  believes  she  turned  him  into  has  broken  off  any  further  ability  of  his  feelings  towards  her  progressing  once  again. i  think  it's  still  very  complicated  for  him  to  think  on  &  it's  not  something  he's  ever  shared  with  anyone  else.

evelynn  has  various  scars  from  her  thousands  &  thousands  of  years  of  being  alive  but  she  generally  keeps  them  smoothed  away  as  to  not  having  any  perceived  imperfections .  while  she  is  pretty  confident  in  how  she  presents  herself  this  is  more  so  a  "i  need  to  conform  to  this  otherwise  i  will  fail" .  everything  about  her  is  strictly  about  having  to  build  habits  (  even  if  she  doesn't  particularly  like  them  )  &  evolving  into  the  being  we  see  now .  she  is  always  constantly  having  to  keep  a  facade  up  because  as  much  as  she  mirrors  people's  wants  &  desires  she  really  doesn't  know  who  she  is  outside  of  that .

ㅤㅤㅤshe is definitely working around both cities , taking in the chaos of all the conflict and enjoying herself because both areas ( but specifically zaun ) are prime feeding grounds for her

ㅤㅤㅤhas made contact with both the council and the chem barons ( mostly without their knowledge of what she is ) with the intent of mostly watching them , determine who is the easiest to manipulate into causing more chaos. this defintiely is a conflict she wants to continue , after all she's always vying for another rune war and while this is no rune war , it would be enough to sate her for some time.

season two

ㅤㅤㅤevelynn definitely is interested in ambessa and her plans but she also does not like the idea of a militarized force coming to end the conflict so swiftly. this could be something that moves her pick a side , mostly in her own self interest , but she would be somewhat helpful nonetheless.

ㅤㅤㅤokay okay  okay  hear  me  out  though  :  evelynn  is  a  very  solitary  creature  when  it  comes  down  to  it . she  is  physically  cut  off  from  most  feeling  /  emotion  due  to  her  nature  as  an  agony  demon  ,  if  anything  the  only  emotions  that  can  come  easily  are  negative  ones . even  with  that  ,  however  ,  while  a  lot  of  the  time  her  attitude  can  come  off  as  irritated  or  angry  even  ,  most  of  the  time  it  just  comes  down  to  apathy .

ㅤㅤㅤshe  does  not  know  how  to  sympathize  with  people  ,  to  see  where  they  are  coming  from  ,  etc. but  just  because  she  does  not  understand  it  on  a  personal  level  does  not  mean  she  doesn't  understand  it  in  terms  of  being  able  to  recognize  it  and  then  exploit  it . evelynn  has  evolved  into  a  creature  made  to  adapt  and  change  herself  in  order  to  survive .

ㅤㅤㅤa  lot  of  her  experiences  with  others  are  often  when  she's  luring  them  in  by  sensing  their  deepest  (  &  at  times  darkest  ) desires  &  becoming  whatever  it  is  they  want . this  means  a  lot  of  the  time  she  sees  the  worst  in  humanity  and  what  can  stem  from  the  feelings  these  people  have  and  that  has  caused  her  to  become  extremely  jaded  towards  anyone  who  tries  to  connect  with  her  in  anyway  ,  even  if  they  are  genuine .
