🍓 - Do dates matter to them? Do they often put a big focus on anniversaries, partners birthdays, Valentines day etc?
Short answer: YES.
Long answer, it absolutely is, mainly the aspect that he gets to spend time with Sal since they are both technically extremely busy. Yes, for all the lovey dovey old married couple that they are, they both know they have to maintain a sense of decorum when out in public, especially in the face of the Redmane Knights (despite Ogha cackling that everyone already know that they're probably being nasty in the bedroom so PDAs aren't even the worst), and before the Shattering (especially this time) when they are acting as master and bodyguard in Leyndell because Mother Marika decided that it's unseemly for a demigod prince like Radahn to wed a commoner (Radahn: 🖕).
As a result it's often only late at night when they get to truly enjoy each other's presence.
It got a bit better after Sal moved into Castle Redmane with Radahn, serving as both his second in command and fellow castle castellan with old Jerren. At least they'd be able to look at each other with affection and display (in appropriate amounts) of their affection, a lingering touch there, a fond look there, and so on.
Radahn makes a particular point to celebrate their anniversary of course. It's the remembrance of the happiest day of their lives and the day when they make up for times missed while they are apart. He wakes him with a kiss and hucks all his duties to Ogha to handle (no interrupting him unless the castle is literally under siege). Even a battle hardened warrior with the title of the Starscourge has his soft moments, believe it or not: a shared drink here and there, sweet lovemaking thrown in time to time, basking in each other's presence being the main point of that day.
"Sun of my sky." Isn't just a fond saying from Radahn, he literally means it. Just as the sun gave light to guide the way, he was his sun, and just as the sun gave everyone light no matter who they are... He was the sun that saw him without the expectations everyone else had: to Salvius, he's just Radahn, his husband. Thus does he place so much importance on their dates and their time together, because this is how much he means to him.

A little something about Sal for a change today.
So Sal used to be a part of Godfrey’s clan, he’s one of the younger Crucible Knights to be recruited to join Godfrey by Ordovis. Even before he donned the armor, he was one of the more reserved in personality when he isn’t going absolutely batshit insane feral like the rest of the CKs can do (more reserved compared to the others I mean, and he likes to think of himself as the calmer one) (also also, lets not forget that Godfrey/Hoarah Loux is a barbaric chieftain, his warriors must be almost or just as feral as he can be).
His mastery of the flame arts appeared after the future members of the Crucible Knights were given power by the Primordial Crucible of Life (the primordial stew from which the Erdtree emerged, think of the golden pool that Xerxes came out of in “300: Rise of the Empire”). It’s purer than even the flames that the Fire Giants once tended to, for it was from that their spark appeared: arguably, on par or maybe even stronger than the fire conjured by the Fell God, limited severely by Salvius’ own physical form, for the Crucible Knights are not human but are not on the level of a demigod either (though come very, VERY physically close). As such, his usage of “Aspects of the Crucible: Breath” is better than those of his fellow CKs, being capable of using it in conjunction with other spells such as “Aspects of the Crucible: Wings”, mimicking the original dragons that emerged from the Primordial Crucible.
He used such powers when Godfrey marched upon the Giants, fighting alongside his lord to subdue the Fire Giants: witnessing Queen Marika the Eternal placing the curse upon the last survivor.
His armor set is also unique compared to the other members of the Knights of the Crucible, outwardly resembling the Crucible Axe set albeit with a different image upon the standard on his back, displaying a proud lion upon a field of glimmering stars.
“Armor worn by Knight Salvius, once known as the Crucible’s Fury Flame, bearing the power of the Primordial Crucible of Life. Boosts Aspects of the Crucible incantations.
Knight Salvius never fancied himself a leader, but took the weight of leading the forces of his lord with utmost faithfulness and duty: peering beyond the horizons for a hope to one day bear witness to the return of the great Conqueror of the Stars.”

Radahn’s relationship with Sal was one that started off with passing glances in the hallway. One of them the prince of Lyndell, the other a Crucible Knight, formerly one of Godfrey’s elite Praetorian Guards (I’ll make another post in regards to what the CKs really are because boy do I love my scalies), both fascinated with the other for who they are underneath the helmet and unseen by public: Sal was moved and entranced by Radahn’s gentle heart, his intelligence and his simple honesty in the face of the corrupting politics of the royal capital, with the Prince liking more and more how he could see beyond the public facade.
Then came the sneaky kisses in the corners of the hallway where nobody would see, the exploratory touching and finding excuses to spend time at each other’s side. Who is this man that they called the Scourge of the Stars, who is this one that they so aptly named Crucible’s Fury Flame?
Eventually Radahn got tired of having to hide their relationship from Marika’s prying eyes. He was the prince, for fuck’s sake, why is he sneaking around the palace fearing of being discovered for visiting the one that he loved? So he devised a plan, asking Marika to assign Salvius as his bodyguard before he left to become the Lord of the Red Plains. He didn’t need one, but surely it would be wise to have one at his side just in case of some matters outside the realm of their control?

Salvius doesn't need a stepladder to kiss his husband, he has wings and can use them after all.
