In some ways, he supposed, the members of Fairy Tail being suspended in time for those years was rather similar to himself and the other celestial spirits. The world, and life itself, went on without them and there would be some adjusting and reacclimatising upon return. Of course, unlike the spirits, Lucy and the others didn’t get to live themselves during that time, they didn’t get to talk to each other or anything of the sort. It probably didn’t make it any easier on them, really.

A frown passed briefly across his face at the thought, and at the question posed. He ran a hand lightly through his hair and sighed a little before explaining, “The fight with Zoldeo took quite a toll, I required more recovery time than I liked. As soon as I was able, I tried to open my gate to check on you and the others, yet it seemed the connection was blocked. The only comfort was that the connection was still there in some form.”

He stretched out slightly in his seat and nodded at her, “And yes, time does move differently there…it was not nearly as long for us as it was for you.”

A smile flashed across his face as he added, “But still, I worried for you every day.”

What would have happened, he wondered, if she and the others had never emerged from the Fairy Sphere? He gave a slight hum and voiced a thought, “I wonder why it was seven years later that you all returned. I’m glad it wasn’t any longer, that’s for sure.”
