this job was honestly far below her pay grade. the girl had worked paris fashion week and yet there she was fighting like hell to be a base level wardrobe assistant. it paid fine, and it was a steady gig but it certainly didn't do her resume any favors. none of that really matter though -- to her it was kind of a dream role. tour with her favorite band for months ? style them to perfection ? she gave a gentle knock at the door frame of the already ajar door to the trailer. " hey -- I uh, have some stuff for you to try ! " the brunette beamed, garment bags on arm. the only thing she didn't consider was how entirely starstruck she would be attempting to talk to these guys.

" hey .. you picked my favorite option -- looks good. "

" then I suppose you can expect good results then huh ? " she quipped back, playfulness evident in the tone. " maybe in two to three business weeks ? " it was fun to just be light, at ease -- her hectic work schedule didn't really allow for that normally. casual drinks with him ? It felt like a karmic reward for the long hours she’d been clocking. " makes it fun, everyone can hang out. " she agreed, they only had a few stops so far and everyone really seemed to be cohesive. the various artists and crew members seemed to mesh well, making a positive vibe overall. it was a pleasant surprise, given the often cutthroat nature of the music industry. as their drinks arrived, she picked up her mojito taking a sip -- refreshing burst of lime and mint against her tongue was exactly what she needed after her day of rushing around the fairgrounds. " a vodka red bull never disappoints, reliable, " she mused, twirling the straw in her glass. hues wondered to the main stage, landing on jagger. " this song is so cute.. " she thought out loud as he played.

"think i always play my cards right," and he did know his place, knows which girls to mess with and which ones to stray away from. the stylist though? she was a wildcard, he wasn't able to read her just yet, making his interest in her grow. jett didn't have an ill intentions with the other, finding that she was absolutely adorable -- wanting for her to be able to share the night of fun with him. "yeah, everyone's pretty friendly, couldn't recall a time where all the acts somewhat like each other." he jokes, knowing that there were ongoing beef with other artists. he orders their drinks before turning to face her, "depends on what i'm feeling -- sometimes a vodka red bull, other times whiskey on the rocks."

" well you're getting there, play your cards right, " the brunette challenged though her features were evident that she was kidding. with work, she hardly had time to slow down. it was always her priority, dating, friends, hobbies -- it all kind of fell by the wayside. this job was kind of a catch all solution. it gave her a bit of breathing space and a chance to style from some of her favorite artists. she just hadn't anticipated also casually getting drinks with one. it kind of felt -- deserved though. " it helps that the people I get to style for here are cool too. " although there were a lot of artists to attend to, anything was easier than fashion weeks. for a moment she considered, also confirming in her mind that she was done with work for the day. " mmm.. mojito ? " she questioned, head tilting slightly asking for one. " whats your drink of choice ? "

"trying to be your favorite client, so you're telling me that i'm already not? i'm awfully offended," jett muses hand place upon his chest, a groan escaping his lips followed by rounds of chuckles reflecting that he was just joking around with the female. this was very unlike jett behavior, typically he was off flirting with fans in the crowd of people in the vip tent. though, he did want the female to experience the fun of the festivals instead of just focusing on work. "that makes me question who else you've styled?" brows quirks in curiosity, head tilting to the side slightly. "i agree -- there's just something so magical about it.. like all these fans being out here in the dying heat for hours just to watch us before? kinda insane." but he couldn't picture himself doing anything else. "what do you wanna drink?"

a small laugh escaped her, wink catching her off guard. " okay good, sounds good -- are you trying to become my favorite client or something ? " she questioned, hint of teasing lacing her tone -- as if the band wasn't who she was most excited to style for when she landed this whole thing anyways. she never thought the job would have landed her here, now. thought she'd have a few conversations with them at best -- not be invited to vip. surprisingly -- there was more of an ease to it than she could have anticipated. he was strangely human, approachable. her eyes scanned the festival scene for a moment. it was vibrant and chaotic, full of energy -- yet there was a sense of calmness being up tucked away in the vip with him. " favorite gig ? " she pondered it for a moment, even though she knew the answer right away. " yeah, I'd say. there's something really special about being apart of what brings all these people together. " the tour was long and rigorous, if she was tired -- she could imagine how it was for him.

he couldn't recall if any of his bandmates ever had a person that actually stuck with them -- most of the time he didn't learn their names unless he was personally introduced by his band. "really? well, that's too bad that they don't appreciate your talent," jett wasn't even sure where this niceness was coming from. if anyone were to catch him like this they'd obvious tell that he found attraction towards the female. "i'll gladly provide feedback anytime you need," playfully winking in her direction as the two headed towards the tent. wasn't entirely sure who was playing next, but his eyes weren't on the stage -- they were more so focused upon the female besides him. "oh, really now? is this one your favorite gig?" he playfully teases guiding her towards the drinks. "it's definitely a rush, but it gets pretty tiring after a while. i'm glad that it's only the weekends and we have the rest of the week to chill and hang out before heading to our next destination."

from being a fan she knew not to blame the guy for not knowing his bandmate's current obsession's name. in just about any other situation she'd probably peg him a prick but arlo was kind of known for having someone new on his arm three times a month. it must have been hard to keep up. " oh -- you know, people don't normally say anything. " thoughts wondered for a moment as she realized just how uncommon it was for her to hear anything like that. half the time she didn't really get a lot of time with the talent and anyone above her would only say something if there was a problem -- by that standard she was pretty successful, just kind of nice to hear it from someone for once. " that means you're doing a good job though, so good to hear some kind of feedback. " she fell into step with him once he was ready -- eyes wandering around as she tried to count the years. " I graduated early and started working, haven't really stopped since. I guess it's been four yeas now. " the femme glanced over and reality finally hit who she was about to go have a drink with. " I think your career is a bit more interesting than mine though -- must be fun to perform up there every night. "

“is that her name?” jett didn’t bother asking, most of the time he couldn’t even find arlo to ask him about her since he was constantly around the other like a lost puppy. often used to his bandmates antics of believing he found the one. “yeah, they’re adorable, i guess.” though most of the time he didn’t see the two interacting, he was far too busy doing other things. the male nods his head, smile tugging at the corner of his lips, “yeah, you’re like super talented.” it was odd of jett to give out this many compliments, normally he’d just be closed off until it was time to preform… but looking as how they were pretty much in each others company’s all the time there was no harm in actually making connections other than his bandmates. switching back to his normal clothing, he tilts his head, awaiting for her to follow. “so how long have you been doing this?”

" ayla ? she's great, fun to work with. arlo and her seem pretty cute actually, he's always floating around. " probably the member of the band she knew the most by now actually just from him being around so much. " yeah ? " the girl questioned with a bit of an awkward laugh, compliment catching her off guard. in other situations the talent just brushed her off -- treated her as less because she was one of the staff. thankfully this tour had been a bit of a welcomed changed. " means a lot actually... " words trailed off as she tucked a loose strand off hair behind her ear. his is invitation caught her off guard, her mind racing as she weighed the pros and cons. was she supposed to interact much with the talent ? not really but this situation was a bit different. they were all living and working together for months so connections were bound to happen. " sure, why not ? " she replied with a shrug, a hint of excitement creeping into her voice.

once she told him her name, he nods his head, "zella," male repeats with one of his charming smiles dancing across his lips. "definitely going to remember that, i seen you running around styling people all the time. especially arlo's new girl toy or whatever," he mentions with a chuckle. "think you have the sickest style skills i've ever seen, most people just expect us to wear whatever the hell they provide for us," he rolls his eyes before licking his lips. "cool, so -- you doing anything right now? or would you like to come grab drinks with us at the vip area?"

was it an overstep ? should she have backed out of the situation ? maybe -- but if she had, she would have only been kicking herself for it later. what was the point of reaching for this job if she couldn't take advantage of it's benefits. " zella -- I'm wardrobe, for the next few months anyways. " after that ? she didn't exactly plan too far ahead. it wasn't really a career you could necessarily. it was normally the part where she should probably ask him in return -- but both personally and professionally she knew who he was. " you can let me know if you need anything -- having to do with that anyways. "

he’s seen her a few times before, always capturing his attention when she enters the room. his bandmates would often pay her no attention, but jett felt like a stalker watching her every move when she was in the room. although, he acts casual. as he seeks out her opinion, he listens to what she has to say before another article of clothing is handed to him. noticing the confident smile across her lips, he couldn’t help, but grin himself. putting it on, male takes one glance in the mirror before nodding. “this will do, thanks… what was your name again?”

she was supposed to be in and out. that was the thing about positions like hers -- get your work done, seen but never heard. but no -- she had somehow landed herself playing dress up with someone she had saved tiktok edits of on her phone. " oh -- mhm sure. " snapping out of whatever deep thought she was in and pulling the shirt he was referring too. " I think ... the first one was a little too casual, we can do better. " sometimes brands sent things the label wanted her to pull from, some kind of deal of whatnot. the girl tried her best but just good wasn't enough for her. she carefully took the next one off the hanger and handed it over with a smile. " this one. " a confident nod followed the words.

he allows her eyes to assess him, taking him in as his own eyes falls upon her. finding himself trailing up and down, finding that the stylist was rather attractive. turning to glance at himself back in the mirror, he fixes the t-shirt, arms cross over his chest for a split second before taking off the shirt. "mm, can you hand my that one instead?" he mutters pointing at another on the rack. "think it looks good, don't get me wrong.. but i think it might look even better with this one?" he holds the other t-shirt besides his bare chest. "i know you're going to ask what i think -- but what do you think, i mean you are the stylist."

the brunette stopped her busied hands for a minute to assess. tilting her head to the side slightly -- eyes scanned him over for a moment. perfect fit, matched his typical style, but that wasn't really what was important here. " what do you think ? that's kind of what matters here -- pretty sure you could pull off just about anything I throw at you. " words came out far more flirtatious than she would have ever intended. " j--just I mean, it matters what you like is all. " giving her best back peddling, she gave a shrug. models were paid to sell clothes, she could put them in anything -- it was their job. musicians, on the other hand, had personal style -- her job was to help them maintain it well, not change it.

jett's grateful that he's at the point in his life where he made it.. he had a bunch of people working for him, telling him what to wear, what to say, when to eat.. it was kind of exhausting sometimes, but tour made it all worth it. despite his reputation, he was never threw tantrums like some would think, he was actually really appreciative of the staff. a brief notice on how she tries to avoid staring -- smug smirk etches across lips as fingers move to look at the items that she brought, throwing on a t-shirt before glancing over towards her. "what do you think?"

it wasn't super high pressure, even if she was kind of a one woman show for this whole thing. the girl pretty much knew each of their styles inside out already -- all she had to do was supply it and pick things in their style that would actually suit them. " just some pieces we can throw around for different things, stage, interview... you don't -- you don't have to try now, if you don't want. " words kind of slipped and fell over themselves here and there despite best efforts to keep composure. eyes kind of floated around trying to avoid any kind of obvious staring. " or you can since you're already --- anyways. " the stylist decided the best way to avoid making herself look anymore obvious was to just busy herself with hanging the bags and taking out what she had along the rack he already had set in the room.

touring was his favorite thing in the world -- something about traveling around the world, preforming for screaming fans each night was a rush that he wasn't willing to let go. jett notices how on this leg of the tour, the team hired someone new. that very person knocking upon his door to deliver the outfits she had planned. "hey, yeah -- come in," he assures her, nodding for her to enter into their space. instantly, he shrugs off his shirt reflecting his perfectly toned shoulders. "what you got for me this time?"
