" their audacity to even try to talk to her after what had happened. each word from her dripped in sarcasm, throwing back the same energy she had gotten from them a week ago. it took everything in her not to leave it at that and walk off, but some part of her wanted to see the reaction.

" words spat out laced with disappointment and regret. the femme though his opinion had changed, that maybe... there was something there shockingly enough. of course -- that delusion had come to an abrupt end last week. any semblance of what she thought they may have had dissipated thanks to his words. the only reason she was even there was because a friend had assured her he wouldn't be. it only took one moment of brief silence to cause her to roll her eyes and turn on her heels. making a b-line through the sea of people at the house party was much easier than standing there listening to what he had to say -- the only thing she could think was to get out.

The vehemence that answers his greeting has Solomon’s eyes widening and is almost enough to have him taking a cautious step back. “I—” he starts, eyebrows drawing together in confusion before their last meeting appears at the forefront of his mind. “Listen, about the other day…” he pauses, shoving his hands in his pockets as he tries to think about how to best approach this, how truthful to be. If she even gives him a chance, that is, a part of him expects her to flee any moment now. “I know it was really shitty and I’m sure you must be upset, but I can explain, I swear. Just give me a chance to do that. Please, Chlo.”
