(My) Lucas’s dragon form and less-than-human features come from his connection to the Dark Dragon, not as a feature from birth, so there’re certain strengths and weaknesses he may have that an actual dragon wouldn’t.

The Dark Dragon does not refer to itself as anything. No pronouns, no name, no “I”, no “we”, no “one”. It accepts “Dark Dragon” as a name given to it by humans and gives no care towards how it’s percieved.

With a heart in its grasp, it cannot be put back to sleep again. ...Not without a lot of power, anyway.

Lucas’s death (assuming the Dark Dragon doesn’t outright prevent it) would reset the Dragon’s alignment back to neutral and strip so much power from it that it’d fall into slumber on its own.

Before being given Lucas’s heart, it’s entirely black scaled and its eyes are closed. With his heart, there’s a white glow from beneath its scales and in its eyes, which open with the needles’ removal.

The Dark Dragon has no human form and can’t escape from beneath Nowhere Island; the only way for it to do that is with an M!A or event of some sort.

It can communicate with Lucas in his dreams, appearing in a dark, water-like void with only its head visible.
