she is a realist that leans towards optimism. having been around as long as she has, eleanor has seen a lot — good and bad. she leans towards a positive worldview because she believes in humanity’s inherent ability to learn, to do better. it is something she has to believe in as otherwise, she would struggle to deal with the world as it is.

eleanor is as brave as she is compassionate, as she is willed to step in and help others, even at her own expense. after all — she does get back up after something does not work out. thus, eleanor is very reliant on her immortality; she may not be someone who chases trouble, but trouble seems to know where she rests her head.

for the most part, she comfortably expresses herself through physical affection — she holds hands, she touches shoulders, she pulls people into hugs. she also can express her fondness through verbally  ( and she writes excellent letters ),  but words can be twisted and their meaning can be misunderstood.

eleanor, so used to people who are as affectionate as she is, thrives when she is held. she particularly enjoys it when she is embraced and the other person almost wraps themselves around her, putting the contact surface at its maximum. she also gives excellent hugs — she is soft and warm, and she likes physical closeness, meaning that she is not squirming thirty seconds into the hug.

neither, in a way. she is quick to fall, especially when she believes that she has found a match that is as good as it gets. however — she is occasionally slow to realise that she has fallen in love. partially, this is due to how many close relationships she has that are strictly platonic if not familial — she is thus very used to feel strong affection for others and does not always realise when this affection has blossomed into something romantic.

yes, but it took her some effort to get it right as the person she was copying it from was right-handed which made it difficult for her, a left-handed person, to follow along as she had to mirror the movement in her head.

what do they do when they can’t sleep :    

she typically sleeps well, having a busy life that tires her out, but when she cannot sleep, she sneaks out of bed and into her study, going over lesson plans or other work-related things until she feels tired enough to go to sleep. when nightmares disturb her night rest, she aimlessly wanders around the house, trying to clear her mind.

eleanor is an impulse buyer by nature. even when she makes a shopping list and swears to herself that she will follow it, she often still throws it out when she gets to her preferred shop and something is on sale. for example --- she has gone shopping with every intention to cook french for dinner but upon finding greek wine on sale, she adjusted her plans.  ( another shopping habit, especially when she goes to the store with seth --- spontaneously booking holidays while still shopping for dinner. )

what order do they wash things in the shower : 

her hair comes first, applying conditioner and letting it seep in. then, she washes her body, before rinsing out the conditioner and using shampoo. all in all, she is pretty fast in the shower; baths take longer as then, she indulges --- meaning that she essentially has a spa hour in her bathroom, taking the time for all the things that come short during the week. the products she use are typically either neutral or have a light flowery note.

what’s their coffee order :

she is her daughter's mother, meaning that she has a tendency to drink drinks, sweetened to the point of unholiness. even at home, her selection of syrups for coffee is remarkable. the only exception are teas that are sweetened with exactly one spoon of honey, though more recently, she has been dabbling in palm sugar.

what sort of apps would they have on their smartphone :  

for eleanor, her smartphone has never been a priority. she has a messaging app, though she rarely uses it --- she calls people out of habit, considering it to be easier. she has an email app which she occassionally uses to inform the parents of her students when the kids are supposed to bring something to school  ( like shoe boxes ).  aside from that, there are not many apps on her phone. maybe a game, a music app, but otherwise, it is all fairly standard. social media only mean trouble for immortals so she steers clear of them.

how do they act around children :

eleanor rarely struggles when she deals with children. having the knowledge that a lot of misbehaviour, especially in young children, is the fault of the parents rather than the fault of a child that does not know any better, she is rarely frustrated when a child does not behave the way it is expected to --- in general, she does not have many expectations for the behaviour of children. however, from a certain age onwards, she believes children to be capable of judging their own actions, of finding their own values --- and once they have found them, she holds them to it, treating them like self-responsible beings.

what would they watch on tv when they’re bored and nothing they really like is on : 

eleanor does not care much for television in general. she has a dvd collection with movies / shows that she enjoys enough to pay money for them so unless she is watching the news, she is making her own television program.

based on my current thoughts, i am saying that seth and eleanor  want  a small wedding as they are rather private people and would not want to make a great spectacle out of it but end up with a medium one because nearly everyone they would invite  ( her brothers, their respective friends and his colleagues )  have significant others / someone they would want to bring as a date — and they certainly have the money for this and the venue has enough space for a lot of guests, too. in addition — most of their friends are other immortals and  not  inviting them might easily cause quite a bit of drama. drama of the kind that they would not be able to wait out.
