the moment yn saw that text message, her heart started racing. wonbin, park wonbin, wanted to talk in real life? at his own house? yn didn’t know what to feel. it’s not like she had a bad feeling about it, but at the same time she didn’t have a “good” feeling about it either. i mean, maybe she’s just overthinking it, but why would wonbin suddenly want to talk in real life? he couldn’t even find a simple cafe to sit at?

a few minutes have passed and it didn’t take yn that long to realize it also. she rushed out of bed as soon as she saw the address wonbin sent her. she rummaged through her closet, slipping on a random hoodie and taking out a pair of socks.

“i’m just overthinking. we’re only gonna talk. nothing will happen other than getting to know each other. calm down yn.” she mumbled to herself as she slipped on her favorite pair of shoes.

she checked the address once again before heading out the door.

“hey, he doesn’t live that far away from me…just a couple blocks away.” yn could only sigh as she walked down her neighborhood.

on the other hand, wonbin was busy trying to freshen up. washing his face, changing his clothes, spraying some perfume on him, he did absolutely everything to make him look presentable for when yn came. it wasn’t obvious, but he was mentally freaking out. his heart was also racing, but not as much as yn’s.

“she’ll be coming soon. wonbin, you can do it. don’t be a fool, this is what you wanted all along, wasn’t it? you’ll finally get to talk to her in person.” wonbin spoke to himself in the bathroom mirror, fixing his hair and small touches of his clothes.

just like yn, he as well, could only sigh.

it only took about 10 more minutes until wonbin heard his doorbell ring. his eyes widened as he did a few last finishing touches to himself before rushing out of the bathroom and heading down the stairs. he faced the door and breathed in and out before opening it.

yn was on the other side and couldn’t help but stare at the other.

“hey..” wonbin waved, smiling nervously.

“hi…”

wonbin signaled yn to come inside and they both sat down on the couch. i guess seunghan was right, they were sitting in silence for about 2 minutes until wonbin decided to speak up first.

“so…do you want water or a snack?”

yn lowered her head and fiddled with her fingers before responding, “um..waters fine, i guess…”

the other could sense the awkwardness building up before heading towards the kitchen to grab waters.

he placed the glass of waters on the table in front of them, “are you uncomfortable, yn?”

yn shot her head up, “uh no, what made you ask that?”

wonbin just chuckled nervously, “well your body language is making it kind of obvious somethings wrong…”

“i just…” yn let out a sigh, “i just thought it was a little fast paced to invite me over…we could’ve went to a cafe or restaurant..”

the other nodded, “i guess so.”

“but don’t worry! i’ll get comfortable with my surroundings soon…”
