Amelia's sudden maturity almost terrified her. The apologizing and putting herself in someone else's shoes. She must've talked to someone about this because this is no way the Amelia she could remember, not that she was complaining. ❝ The past is in the past... Right...❞ Violet agreed even though she had a feeling this might be her delusion playing with her. She got almost zero hours of sleep. Maybe she was hallucinating Amelia being nice to her? Maybe its the wine? She'd have to talk about it to Declan later. Today is proving to be quite interesting. ❝ A little wine never hurt anyone. Besides, we have plenty of room if you need to crash here for the night, ❞ she laughed. Violet would've joined her if it weren't for the pregnancy. Right now, she was drinking ginger tea like her life depended on it to keep from getting sick again.

❝ Yes... I think he told you when we were still looking for a candidate, but he had already decided to go through with the arrangement at that point. ❞ Violet was nervous about Amelia's reaction to the news. She could easily take it as being some form of revenge for trying to break them up. Which wasn't the case in this situation. Declan cared about Amelia too much to let Mason hurt her. It isn't an easy choice for him to weigh, he was still torn about getting them together, but it's ultimately the best option for the a happy outcome. Hearing Amelia admit that she never thought someone would want to be there for her hurt her heart. She had so much love. For some reason, she just couldn't see it for herself. ❝ Well, honestly, I didn't think that someone like that was real until I met Declan... You know, when he reached out, I intially tried to push him away because I didn't think that I was worth his time or energy. That he wouldn't want to put up with my issues. Regardless of it all, he just kept showing up for me. Trust me, I know how scary it can be your trust in someone who can break your heart, especially after it's been broken by people you thought cared about you like you cared about them... Luis is a little different though because he's already committed to marrying you. What you'll have to navigate is communicating, trusting each other and all of the other stuff.... ❝ If I am being honest right now Violet , I wouldn't exactly have blamed you for hating me. What I did to you was wrong and I should have never went out of my way to destroy what you and my brother have. It is clearly obvious that the two of you are meant to be together. However I do want to try and move on from our past issues. We're family now and we got to stick together right? ❞ Amelia hadn't even taken a moment to question that if her actual kind behaviour would come as a shock to Violet or not. Yet even though things earlier in the day had started out as a fight with Luis. Somehow it got her to a point of thinking about how she has treated people terribly and they didn't even deserve it. ❝ Drinking isn't really my thing but right now I kind of feel like it is needed. ❞ Amelia is hoping that her brother and sister in law would be willing to let her crash on their couch rather than calling the one person who has become responsible for her to come pick her drunk ass up from their place. ❝ You say that it wasn't a fast process , --- yet Declan basically dropped the arranged marriage on me days after out father's wedding. Which I want an honest answer and I won't be mad , but were you doing this process while I was still with that guy that isn't even worth me saying his name. ❞ Ever since Gwen had shown her the proof of Mason making out with some other fem only weeks after she ended things unofficially had been the moment she decided to move all her energy off of focusing on a man or a relationship that was never real on his end. Of course part of of Amelia had been expecting that Violet would defend Luis and their choice they made of settling on him. Yet little did she know that Violet would be speaking about him in such a respected way and not only that but Amelia is taking in her words about marriage. In all honesty she'd need all the advice she could get before she is married to Luis. ❝ I don't doubt that he is a great guy and is going to make a great husband. I guess it is more of the fact that I wasn't expecting to have someone that is willing to put up a fight with me about things. To have someone who actually wants to be there for both the good and bad days with me. Just part of me is scared that he will end up being miserable with me and I will just be like my father and marry god knows how many times. ❞ //@thewcllingtons

❝ Yeah... Everything is fine, I just, it's been a lot for me lately... You aren't the first person who has decided to see me in a different light. All of a sudden everyone is trying to be nice to me when the only thing that happened is my last name changed— Not saying that's what you're doing in this case— I just, I really appreciate your apology. ❞ Violet hoped that she made sense in a way that didn't make her seem crazy. She didn't want her sister-in-law to worry about her her when it was really just her hormones that made her feel everything more deeply. Almost anything made her cry at this point: happiness, sadness, anger, and even sometimes randomly looking at Declan would make her tear up. She had to get it together. Grabbing a tissue, she quickly blotted the tears and kept it in her pocket for later. ❝ You don't have to thank me. You're family and you're welcome visit or stay whenever you'd like. All I need is a heads up so that I can get the guest room together. ❞ Amelia and Declan had such a close relationship, she figured that the blonde would come to their place just to talk and bother her husband since he moved out of their house.

Violet bit the inside of her cheek,❝ You really think you would've responded well to a heads up? ❞ Not to call her out, but she is generally curious if Amelia wasn't against an arranged marriage like Declan thought she would be. ❝ Amelia... Please, don't beat yourself up over it too much. Let me let you in on a little secret— Mason's job at the Manor, his real job, is to do this exact thing. He dates girls, talks them into destroying their families legacy. It's unfortunate that he's good at what he does. I've seen a lot of families ruined because of him... I've never been close enough to warn the family of his scheme. Plus, any time I did try to warn people, nobody would listen to me because of my status. You should really be thanking Declan for being willing to hear me out. He's the one who stopped this mess. ❞ She would always give the credit to her husband. His care for Amelia ultimately saved the entire family name. Hearing Amelia's compliment made her start crying again, ❝ Stupid PMS, ❞ she uttered as an excuse, ❝ Thank you, Amelia. ❞ Blotting out her tears again with a bit of laughter, ❝ It'd be unfair to ask you to marry someone that wasn't at least attractive. We had to give you something you know? I glad that you like him so far. I hope that someday you guys can make something good out of this. That you can come to love each other somehow. Amelia hadn't been expecting to see Violet become so emotional over the fact that she is apologizing for her past behaviour. In a way it did cause the fem to become concerned with the possibility that she had said something wrong again. However looking back on what she said she couldn't put the pieces together to understand why the other fem would be behaving in such a way. ❝ Are you sure that everything is alright? I know that I was not exactly the kindest person to you in the past but I wasn't expecting my apology to make you so emotional. ❞ Amelia can't help but hope that her words don't come off as being rude , but she is generally curious to what is going on with her sister in law. ❝ Thank you , I think crashing for the night here is kind of the best solution if alcohol is involved. ❞ The last time that Amelia had too much to drink when upset didn't end up so great the day after. Not that she believes that would have been the case with Luis, but she'd much rather avoid that possibility from happening. So she is grateful that Violet and her brother are willing to allow her to crash at their place for the evening. Knowing that the hangover isn't gonna be the best feeling in the morning. In a way hearing Violet speak about how the whole arranged marriage thing had happened does bring her some kind of closer that she didn't know she needed. ❝ I know it is dumb of me to say this knowing that I probably would have reacted the same way that I did , but it would have been nice to have some kind of heads up that it was going to happen. ❞ Than again if she had know it meant that Mason would have known and he likely would have cooked up some type of plan from allowing it to happen. So in the long run it is only best that Violet and Declan had kept their plan to themselves. ❝ I guess looking back on everything it has me questioning a lot of things that he said or did. I mean I should have known that it wasn't real when he wasn't able to say that he loved me back. It really has makes me feel so stupid that I fell right into whatever master plan he had by himself. I was so willing to destroy my own family for a man that could careless about me ... ❞ Saying such words out loud stung , but in the moment that is exactly how she is feeling. ❝ I don't think you ever need to worry about Declan wanting to leave you and banishing you from your own children like our father had done. Declan isn't like our old man , he is a good man and I am happy he found a great woman to spend his life with. ❞ Words that Amelia has never spoken to anyone else other than the woman that stood across from her. Blonde offing her a soft smile. Amelia find she herself laughing slightly at Violet's remark about making sure he wasn't ugly. ❝ Well I am glad that someone had that in mind when it came to picking my husband , but he is a good person on the inside even if he doesn't see it. ❞ //@thewcllingtons

❝ I forgive you, Amelia... ❞ Violet felt her eyes welling up with tears just at the words alone. Clearly, her hormones were ruling over her, but it is still very sweet to hear. She never expected an apology from Amelia. She figured that they would just pretend that it all didn't happen; even that was enough for Violet. It meant the world for her to hear that she regretted what she did. Waving off the thought,❝ I'm sure he'll be okay with it. It's just for one night. ❞ Granted, the nights have been quite exhausting lately from how sick she got. They were running on fumes, naps and a prayer at this point. But Violet figured she should be free from the noise given the room was on the opposite side of their own. She'd just have to remember to lock the nursery to make sure she didn't accidentally walk into it.

Violet knew that Amelia only came to vent off her chest so she made sure to listen while she cooked. It's clear that she needed a bit of sympathizing. ❝ Not that he wanted you two to get any closer, but it would be unfair to split you up when nothing was secured by that point... ❞ She stopped what she was doing when she heard about Mason already hooking up with someone else. Violet isn't surprised by the behavior, but a lot of this came as a shock to Amelia since she never witnessed that side of him. ❝ I wish I'd be shocked, but he is kind of a womanizer... Amelia, I'm sorry he did that to you. Trust me, I know how great of a liar Mason is. He could convince you that you mean the world to him before he throws you to the wind... You don't have to feel bad at falling in love with him. Or still loving him— You can't really control who you end up falling in love with. It's going to take time, but when it's over, I'm sure you'll be glad you didn't waste another second with that asshole. ❞ Knowing what he said behind her back just made this entire situation worse. ❝ No... He's never said that to me, but it doesn't mean he hasn't thought it. One thing I know is that it's never going to happen because I love him too much to leave him. ❞ Currently carrying his child, she wasn't going anywhere anytime soon. Hearing what Amelia said about Luis made her smile. ❝ See, those are the qualities that are what you fall back on when things get tough. And I'm glad you think he is cute— I made sure Declan wouldn't set you up with someone that wasn't good-looking,❞ she said with a laugh. // @kiillerqueen

❝ You're right the past is the past , but that doesn't the fact that I should have given you a chance before just jumping to being a bitch just to be one. Than again I was also in a different mind space due to a certain someone. So I still want to apologize for my behaviour and I do hope that you can forgive me. If you can't I completely understand ... I probably wouldn't either. ❞ Amelia doesn't even take a moment to think about how strange it might come off to her sister in law to see such a different side of her. The more gentle side of the blonde isn't one that came out often , but it is almost like the male she is to marry in weeks to come was able to bring such a side back out in her. Ever since he came into her life the blonde always seems to be left thinking about her past behaviours and how she not only acted by how she had treated someone in a situation. ❝ I am sure that Declan is not going to like the idea of his drunk baby sister crashing at his place for the night , but I really don't care. He should see it as the two of us bonding. ❞ A small laugh escapes the blonde , but she does mean what she said about using it as an opportunity to bond with Violet since the two women are now tied together for life the moment she married Declan. ❝ So you're basically saying that my brother allowed me to continue to get close with someone he planned on having the final say on? I'm not angry about it anymore , Violet. I will admit that in the beginning that it hurt so much and maybe even more than it did when I had my first heartbreak by my first love , Gabriel. It hurt knowing that I allowed myself to fall in love with a man that didn't feel the same way back. Did you know that it had only been maybe two weeks before he was in a bar kissing some other woman and they left together. As much as I know I needed to learn from it , it doesn't change the pain I felt. Part of me hates the fact that part of me is always going to love him even though he doesn't deserve it. ❞ Without Gwen , Amelia doesn't have anyone to be able to express such emotions to. Plus she already knew that Gwen would tell her to basically suck it up and that isn't something she was looking for when she opened up to Violet. The blonde got to the part where she didn't even waste her time saying the male's name. Amelia sits there and listens to what she has to say , ❝ you know it doesn't surprise me that Declan would go out of his way to do something like that. We've had the communication conversation more than once and we're both on the same page about it. Did Declan ever say that he had a fear of falling into our father's habits before you two got married? I think the fact that he doesn't talk down to me. Never making me feel like everything that happens wrong is my fault. He is understanding of things even when explaining things to me in ways I didn't see a situation or think about. He brings out a better side of me than I've been in a long time. I don't think I need to comment on the fact that he obviously very handsome. ❞ Amelia laughs at the end of her answer to the fem's question. //@thewcllingtons
