You’re so handsome!  “  Admiring the way the accessories compliment the full blown apparel she had asked him to put on for her, cheeks flush pink in a strong sense of accomplishment.  “  You think we’re gonna blow the roof off the gathering or what?  “  Aillah gives a twirl in her matching outfit, her skirt flows out and back down to her legs before skipping her way over to him and wasting zero time to link arms together, bouncing.

Jasper smirks when he draws her close, his arm wrapped around her waist that she's pressed flush to his frame and his other hand caressing her cheek until he runs a thumb over her lips. There's never a warning with him when he slants his lips over hers. It's gentle, at first, but then he presses against her for a taste until she whimpers. Only then, does he relent and Jasper murmurs with a lidded smirk.

❝Ah, I believe the proper way of asking is, 'can I kiss you?' but,❞ he chuckles against her lips, ❝I suppose it's too late for that.❞

          It happens in the blink of an eye. One moment she’s protesting something he’s said to once again set her off and the next thing she realizes she’s in his arms? Wait, what? Tries her best to ignore the obvious heat burning her features, red spreads down from her face to her neck when it dawns upon her that he’s moving in closer, heart skips a beat from feeling of thumb pressed plump over her bottom lip alone. 

“ What are y-y-you doing?! Wait a second hold up th- “ Lips capture her own and it steals away the rest of her ability to speak. Light sound whining from the back of her throat being her first sign of betrayal when she’s melting. Oh no. She’s melting. Why is she melting? Why isn’t she pushing him away? Fingers fidget until they can dig into the fabric of his shirt and only once he tugs away is he met with a dazed expression.

“  You’re such a pain!  “  she grumbles flustered against his mouth in return but soon pushes up on her toes, hands still holding onto his shirt when she applies pressure for another kiss.

          “  I have absolutely zero idea what it is you just said and i don’t even think I wanna know.  “  Shiku would be much better off but Aillah’s not even certain where he is now. Which, in retrospect, isn’t a good thing probably considering he’s her partner.  “  You wanna....maybe.....run that by me again? Maybe in....not number talk....it’s numbers right?  “

Her stomach growling acting as the pure indicator of her approaching starvation. The world is rough and it's only getting tougher with the lack of food to appease her current discomfort. She's gonna go down and nothing is going to be able to spare her. Until finally she's blessed with a meal. Sitting and chowing down as if she'd never eaten a day in her life -- the game made her so hungry. And just as she was about to shift from the shake to the fries, she's stopped when a giant hand intrudes, she doesn't remember much after the flash of red she saw before her eyes.

" The very LEAST you could do is ASK me before you steal my food thief! "

It's over. Murder eyes are equipped and whatever saving grace she had remained now fell to the ground due to the fact that she's reaching up, pounding her fists against his chest. ( Not that it actually DID much but it made her feel better! ) Chanting curses under her breath over and over. She'll make him pay for this dearly.

          She’s just wrapped up filming her next few upcoming videos which she’d edit the following day to get them uploaded and scheduled for post on time when the notification rings through. The cute white cat emoji holding an envelope signaling a new text. Seeing it came from them only sent butterflies in her stomach! It’s the question though which summons a blush heating her cheeks. What was her first impression? That seemingly came out of nowhere. Well, she couldn’t leave them hanging!

The typing started. Thumbs racing against her mobile phone screen and deciding now would be her chance! She never exactly hid her feelings when it came to them. They were really important to her. Mi certainly knew how to make her flustered.

( ✉ → sms ) I would have thought I’d made that extremely obvious by now! ( ✉ → sms ) You’re someone who I thought would become an incredible friend to me. Someone who seemed like I’d be able to trust with my life. ( ✉ → sms ) The way you instantly figured out how to make me laugh? The way you stood up to those goons wanting to pick a fight with the wrong person? I thought you were brave!

What about her? What did Mi think about Aillah in return? After pressing the send button, fingers hug around the device and she pulls it close to her chest. She can feel her heart racing. Like it’s about to jump straight from her chest.

                                “ Don’t look at me like that, you’re the one practically shivering trying to act all cool and such, this was the least that I could do.  “  her eyes peer over to the other who now had a brand new scarf wrapped around their neck, the color and overall style seemed to suit them well, what a relief. Moving over to gently press her fingers against the fabric, she slowly adjusts the one around their neck to better match her own.  “  It’s starting to get a lot colder out, you need to be better prepared for the weather, ya doofus.  “

                              Just a few more minutes. It’s all that she’s asking for without actually speaking such. That was due to the current state of deep slumber she happened to be under. So long as her brother didn’t catch her napping on the job  ―  there would be nothing to worry about right? Right? That’s where she was wrong. There’s a light touch that she can’t quite make out. She’s not ready to return to the realm of reality just yet. It tickles enough to make her shift her position, head turning more to the side to try and avoid it. She mumbles something beneath her breath, body acting on its own trying to swat whatever it was a way. It wasn’t until the culprit messing with her pressed it against her nose and said something she couldn’t quite make out that she’d finally start to wake up.

Her vision was still hazed, the figure who had been crouched down next to her holding a weed, tickling her face with it, couldn’t even be made out. Before her full vision returned to her, the tip of the plant resembling a bug more than what it actually had been ― and that was all the wake up call she needed. Adrenalin surges through her veins, heart races hard as she screams out, falling over trying to scoot away from the item with a loud thud against the ground. Swatting away fast as though she could kill what didn’t even exist.

She’s practically singing her heart out while approaching the other, setting out to put her plan in motion. If her brother was going to be the one to make things difficult, then Aillah was going to be the one to set things right between the two of them. Sitting in the background had gone on far enough as far as she had been concerned. She wasn’t going to stay on the sidelines, she was going to help her brother find the happiness she knew he deserved, along with helping her friend Hotaru in the process. It was a win-win! What could possibly have gone wrong? 

“  Shiku wanted me to let you know that he’s going to meet you at the park tonight with some super exciting news! No spoilers from me of course but I really think you should consider going and hearing him out!  “

                       Her ears twitch and she cannot help but to turn around and see the very person who the voice belonged to. It wasn’t supposed to end this way. She wasn’t supposed to be forced to leave with Shiku so soon after finding him. She wanted to stay. She didn’t want to part ways after the time spent with the other and the scions. But it was Koharu who was definitely turning into someone special to her. And yet their father knew where they were. Their father had sent for someone to come and force them back. She’d have to return to her betrothed and Shiku would have to return to his training to take over the clan. It was pointless, she believed. She didn’t want to go back to any of that. Aillah was her own person. She had her own feelings and desires and the top of that list was staring at her with just as much fire burning in her eyes. 

                             And oh, did that fire burn just as bright in Aillah’s expression. 

“  I’d wish you luck, but something tells me that you’re going to find me one day.  “ comes her response, thumb brushing over her lip in pure contemplation of how she could get herself out of this. She wanted out. She craved freedom. Maybe the other could already hear her prayers?  “  Keep your promise to me, because I’ll be running any chance I get to come back to you. No matter what it takes, my life was made for you.  “ She’d be damned if her father truly thought his plans would follow through. Any chance she’d have, she was going to take. Especially if it meant she’d be able to see those enticing eyes staring her down all over again.

                       “  There’s absolutely nothing wrong with how things are being handled for the latest assignment if that’s what you’re asking, everything is going according to our plan and I’m convinced Uranus is going to be more than thrilled with my progress after my latest run!  “  despite her body’s exhaustion and her moods racing miles and miles in what felt like minutes, Aillah certainly was going to do her absolute best to not let such show. At least for the time being. If it meant that not a single soul would have to worry about her for now. There were far more important matters to discuss after all and this was the perfect time for her to focus on catching her breath. Especially standing in front of Pluto of all guardians.

A small nervous chuckle while her cheeks tinted red staring the male down in front of her. She had hoped that she didn’t interrupt him. He seemed so complacent in his lounging spot of choice. His sudden movements forcing her to jump back a bit with a slight squeak from being caught off guard. Even if she couldn’t help but keep her eyes on him. 

                                                 “  Aren’t you like gonna catch a cold or something falling asleep outside like that? It doesn’t seem like the smartest idea.  “ 

                                             Says the girl who can’t remember the layout of a family estate despite how many times she’s been around herself.

          Aillah hadn’t even realized that she hadn’t been alone when the soft voice from behind her manages to not only catch her off guard, but almost lead to her demise off the balcony she’d been looking down from. Like a cat being startled, heart hammers hard and fast against pure adrenaline. “ S-Sheesh! You caught me off guard! Come with a warning or something, you and Shiku both will be my end one of these days! “

Hand rests over her chest, face flushes pink when eyes gesture away towards what  (  or rather who  )  had been responsible for capturing her attention in the first place.

Serenity, pink and pristine. She’s perfect in ways Aillah feels she could never even begin to start describing. It’s certainly a look that the very best friend to her crush would absolutely take notice to. And it’s absolutely something that she’s not afraid to bring up then and there, to see where she might stand with things.  

Don’t try to change the subject.

Aillah’s already giggling and trying to work whatever charm might get her away from the inquiry which snapped her from her thoughts. The guardian turns their gaze right back to the other and shakes her head, finger presses to lips and giving a curious tilt of her head. Two can play at this game and her wink is enough to let Hotaru know she might not be getting the response that she’d been hoping for.

“ What about Shiku? Have you suggested any good new books to him lately? “

          Fingers curling against shattered shards of ice from an attack gone wrong leading her vision to blur. Perhaps it wasn’t her greatest move, going in ahead of the rest to attack the enemy daring to destroy the very place they’d get to call home. The senshi hears something, despite not being able to make out Saturn’s words until the very end. I’m not leaving you, she hears. And that’s more than enough to assist her ability to locate words again. Even if it came across as broken, she laughs.

If she doesn’t laugh. The pain will lead her to sob. She can’t move. Why can’t she move? Her legs were her greatest weapon when it came to her speed and she couldn’t use them. Ironic, from a planet of ice and that’s what would do her in.

“  I’m fine! Do what you must to get rid of the threat! Leave me!  “

There’s something made out about her brother, he’s already approached and is kneeling down, looking her over before issuing Saturn a knowing look.

“ Just go on! Take out the threat!  “  Sailor Haumea repeats and before she can make out what anyone has left to say, the world around her goes black.

@applewished​ submitted: vision blurred , uncertain of their surroundings seemingly covered head to toe in blood. much of it is their own , additionally whatever victim who crossed them. hearing only her voice is when he stops. " . . . long time no see , what's with that look? like you've seen a ghost. " well , black cracks are visible all around your body. of course she'd be frightened anyone would. would it kill you to be serious for once , nao?

          Whatever she had in her hands certainly hadn’t been there anymore. The items dropping as she’s stuck in her current stance for a lot longer than she’d care to be. How did she know she wasn’t looking at a ghost now? When had she last heard from the other to begin with? Her heart ached for the sight, this isn’t how she last remember him after all. Finally she’s able to run over to him, a closer look meant she could see his body betraying him, this was something she knew she couldn’t fix.   “  JUST WHAT WERE YOU THINKING?!  “  a balled up fist comes striking against his chest -- one right after the other until she stops, looking up at him and seeing him with such a look which really tested her patience it seemed like. 

The idiot. Testing her the way that he was. Waiting for some comment to get under her skin or something to say that this was just a prank. But the punchline didn’t seem to respond which only summoned tears of frustration. She wanted to shake him but thought against such seconds after. Blood now on her hands as she pulls back, granting him space again.  “  We need to get you washed up,  “  she attempts to wipe away what she had with no luck. She knew better. But that didn’t stop hope from entering her mind a time or two.

         She can almost still feel it. The way those hands felt against her neck. The way that it felt like all hope was slowly slipping from her body. The way that the spy had hold of her hair, pulling and tugging her around like some sort of doll that he could do anything with and probably would have had he not been stopped on time. Shiku’s warnings playing in the back of her mind like a broken record alongside the snide remarks the enemy had made simply to try and get reactions out of the very person currently standing in front of her, blood now stained his uniform as a result to the previous events she was still trying to convince herself had even happened in the first place. Maybe she should have stayed behind. Maybe she shouldn’t have insisted on going out in her brother’s place and just listened. Maybe then she wouldn’t be there, currently stuck on her knees next to one of her blades on the ground along with a huge chunk of her hair she had recently chopped off as a way to escape his hold. 

Her hair. Her long, beautiful hair. It’s the last thing she can remember her mother touching prior to her passing. It’s the one thing she remembered most about her, brushing and braiding her hair. Complimenting on how pretty it was and now it was gone -- just like that. It an instant. Maybe it’s the fact that so much worse could have happened to her adding to her emotions, but she doesn’t know how to be herself in the moment. Her brave move from moments ago meant nothing -- at least not now -- not while everything continued to flash before her eyes. 

Maybe it was pure shock and adrenaline which had kicked in which would lead her to do such? She couldn’t even feel her own hand pressed against her now bloodstained cheek as the fight played out in the back of her head again. She didn’t even make out whatever it was being said to her until the feeling of her being helped back up to her feet would snap her from her thoughts. Were there tears sliding down her cheeks? Was she crying? Why wouldn’t she be crying? Why was she trying to rationalize anything? The world was moving because the hand which helped her up was taking her away from the setting.

Those are the only words that she can make out when she suddenly feels herself being tugged by that same hand guiding her. She feels herself pressed up against the other body, arms moving around her to keep her held close. It was a hug. Okita Souji was hugging her. Her body froze for a moment, she tried so hard to fight off those streams of tears gliding down her face. Why was she trying to make a bigger deal over cutting her own hair if it meant she had freedom from the person who tried to use her for incentive? 

                                                                    “  You can scream if you need to,  “  

They’re in a secluded area now. Prior to the hug he had brought her away from everything and from anyone who could be around. For once, his tone didn’t come across as teasing or mischievous. It was....light. Was he trying to help her all this time? Her hands moved up, fingers digging into the top part of his uniform. It’s like a switch he knew how to turn on and off because the moment he said that while hugging Aillah? It was all she needed before giving in to the range of emotions, unleashing a loud sob while burying her face against his chest.

                            Aillah wasn’t expecting her stream to be interrupted by the spam of texts but the moment she saw the name pop up along with jumbled letters, it told her all that she needed to know to cut her work early for the time being. Quickly tapping over to the familiar name’s messages and reading over what was sent to her, her heart sank for a moment, worried sick. Wasting no more time, she tapped away at the screen -- working to message her back as quick as she could, wanting to ensure the other had been alright.

When she didn’t get an answer right away, she dialed Mi’s contact information, only when she would hear her saying -- something she couldn’t quite make out would she speak into the phone.  “  I’m on my way to you, are you alright? Please try and stay on the phone with me! “
