 he  should  probably  be  out  tending  to  things  ,  but  in  truth  brax  was  plenty  capable  of  doing  his  job  from  his  bedchamber.  the  was  a  war  inside  of  the  prince  ,  half  wishing  to  tear  apart  dorne  for  answers  and  the  other  half  so  silent  it  begged  for  nothing  but  solitude.  the  result  was  brax  finding  space  on  the  balcony  of  their  rooms  ,  overlooking  the  city  mara  had  barred  them  from  visiting.  footsteps  echoed  across  the  space  it  was  so  silent  ,  and  he  knew  without  looking  exactly  who  they  belonged  to.  only  one  person  could  have  gotten  past  the  guards  ,  would  have  come  out  here  at  all.  “  hello  ,  love.  ”  comes  his  soft  ,  gentle  yet  broken  voice.  she’s  perhaps  the  only  person  brax  wouldn’t  send  away  right  now  ,  his  overprotectiveness  also  warring  with  his  logical  mind.  sharra  had  defended  herself  ,  but  she  shouldn’t  have  needed  to  in  the  first  place.

 “  i  would  very  much  welcome  you  to  say  that  when  it  is  your  turn  in  the  throne  room.  ”  brax  interrupts  ,  overhearing  two  nobles  spouting  off  about  how  nobody  cared  that  another  body  was  found.  he  was  tired  of  it  ,  exhausted  from  listening  to  plight  after  plight  ,  claims  of  innocence  ,  claims  of  anger.  too  many  would  be  populating  their  dungeons  if  he  was  in  charge  ,  thank  the  gods  he  was  not.  “  otherwise  ,  it  might  be  best  to  keep  your  opinions  to  yourself.  ”  adds  the  prince.

 “  the  joke  of  stealing  your  men  to  train  ours  is  much  less  of  one  now.  ”  sharra  had  never  been  kidnapped  in  the  vale  ,  not  even  nearly.  now  in  her  union  to  him  it’d  been  twice  others  had  saw  fit  to  try  and  take  his  wife.  he  felt  like  a  failure  ,  even  if  she’d  gotten  away  on  both  occasions.  brax  had  sworn  to  her  brothers  he  would  keep  her  safe  ,  happy  ,  and  loved.  now  he’d  failed  on  two  of  the  three  and  it’d  not  even  been  a  full  cycle  of  their  calendar.  in  truth  ,  most  of  those  occurrences  hadn’t  even  happened  in  more  than  a  single  pass  of  the  moon.

"  at  least  you  lost  to  a  skilled  opponent.  "  brax  begins  ,  reaching  for  the  wine  he'd  procured  at  the  markets  not  too  long  ago.  the  prince's  ego  was  in  full  bloom  ,  but  he  was  actively  trying  to  control  it  so  not  to  anger  his  nephew.  it  was  endlessly  fun  ,  but  he  had  a  feeling  that  sharra  would  chide  him  for  the  childish  behavior  if  she  got  wind  of  it  and  was  not  in  the  mood  to  deal  with  that.

𝐀𝐁𝐑𝐀𝐗𝐀𝐒 𝐌𝐀𝐑𝐓𝐄𝐋𝐋  .

remains in sunspear with his wife, sharra martell, and son, oberyn sand ( plus aaliyah mormont and darnell arryn ). eventually they chose to travel around parts of dorne, but do not stray out of the kingdom. happily shows off his home to his wife before returning home to soak up as much time with she and oberyn before they are forced to visit highgarden.

𝐀𝐋𝐄𝐗𝐈𝐀 𝐒𝐓𝐀𝐑𝐊  .

returns home to winterfell with her family where she dives into preparing things for lyanna and sunwoo's wedding. attends that, as well as the wedding of cailin mallister and helaena florent, has a short visit with their cousins, house tully, in riverrun afterwards. she then returns to winterfell before leaving once more to visit some of the northern vassal houses with her knights, including sebastian manderly. they visit white harbor first so bash can see his family, including alistair manderly. after a few weeks of this they return to winterfell shortly before the travel to highgarden.

𝐂𝐄𝐃𝐑𝐈𝐂𝐊 𝐑𝐘𝐒𝐖𝐄𝐋𝐋  .

travels back to winterfell to settle for a moment before returning to the rills where he also again sees his sibling, vika ryswell. he helps pack and move his children permanently to winterfell. attends the weddings of lyanna stark and sunwoo lannister, as well as cailin mallister and helaena florent. visits the dreadfort at the request of harrion. in his remaining days in winterfell , ced posed the question to harry of legitimization , thus naming his youngest child catlyn a lady ryswell as well.

𝐃𝐀𝐄𝐆𝐎𝐍 𝐆𝐑𝐄𝐘𝐉𝐎𝐘  .  

spends his time in pyke with his family, travels with kaelys to suss out suitors, spends time with his daughter, alissa, as well as enjoys a visit from gisele with their twins, roryn and loren.

𝐃𝐄𝐒𝐌𝐄𝐑𝐀 𝐅𝐎𝐖𝐋𝐄𝐑  .  

returns to sky reach to bury her sister. remains there with family for a time before returning to sunspear. spends time there with the martells before going to visit calla tarth for a short period. then returns back home to be with her family once more.

𝐄𝐈𝐑𝐄𝐋𝐈𝐀 𝐁𝐑𝐀𝐂𝐊𝐄𝐍  .  

returns to winterfell and busies herself with work. spends time with the starks, helps prepare for lyanna and sunwoo's wedding that she attends. also attends the wedding of cailin mallister and helaena florent before visiting her family briefly. returns to winterfell where she remains the remainder of the skip.

𝐄𝐌𝐈𝐑𝐀 𝐓𝐘𝐑𝐄𝐋𝐋  .  

returns to bury her second brother in highgarden. spends her time in there with her siblings, saadet, ferah and cemal. writes melina hightower often.

𝐇𝐔𝐆𝐎 𝐌𝐎𝐑𝐌𝐎𝐍𝐓  .  

travels to winterfell with the starks, and eventually greets his betrothed, katerina blacktyde, accompanied by maery greyjoy. brings kat to visit his family on bear island, where he sees his sister, aaliyah mormont, before returning to winterfell. spends much of the time with kat and the starks.

𝐋𝐔𝐂𝐄𝐑𝐘𝐒 𝐓𝐀𝐑𝐆𝐀𝐑𝐘𝐄𝐍  .  

visits king's landing for some time and spends it with willas marbrand and his family that are there ( sans aedar ). makes a short visit to the driftmark to see corlys velaryon before he travels back to summerhall to spend more time with his son, daeron. spends much of his time reading if he's not with his son or being visited by family at summerhall.

𝐌𝐘𝐑𝐀𝐍𝐃𝐀 𝐁𝐎𝐋𝐓𝐎𝐍  .

myranda heads straight to essos thanks to aeron greyjoy, spending a majority of her time in volantis but also visiting other free cities. has a short fling with another pirate while there. writes her family often, including brother, soren snow, spends her time with her friends and suedo family in volantis.

𝐑𝐎𝐖𝐀𝐍 𝐇𝐀𝐖𝐓𝐇𝐎𝐑𝐍𝐄  .

returns home with her family before being sent to king's landing by her father to be with her betrothed, willas marbrand. her older sibling comes as chaperone. writes aranya baratheon and serena karstark often while avoiding her betrothed and spending her days in the great libraries of the red keep. eventually is allowed to go home when willas ventures to visit his friend, calla.

𝐓𝐇𝐀𝐑𝐎𝐍 𝐑𝐄𝐃𝐒𝐌𝐈𝐓𝐇  .  

returns to the eyrie with the arryns and helps everyone settle in. eventually is visited by his niece, visera waters. shows her the eyrie and then takes her to the clan redsmith lands with osric arryn in tow. after their visit ends, he returns to the eyrie to continue his duties to the arryns.

𝐕𝐎𝐑𝐈𝐀𝐍 𝐃𝐀𝐘𝐍𝐄  .

spends his days in sunspear rearranging the guards, assigning those he trusts to watch over ryon, nym and their siblings. makes short visits to starfall and yronwood to see his family and myriah yronwood respectively. much of his time is then spent training his guards, assessing their loyalty, and pining after his princess. nearly visits king's landing several times but is unable to get away from sunspear towards the end of the skip.

abraxas  felt  an  immense  amount  of  guilt  for  not  checking  in  on  tyene  sooner.  listening  to  reports  was  not  the  same  as  visiting  ,  he  knew  this  but  had  done  it  anyway.  it  shouldn't  have  taken  his  wife's  words  ,  but  he  was  glad  she'd  done  it.  the  prince  walks  into  the  room  slowly  ,  not  wishing  to  startle  the  guards  or  his  sister.  "  if  i  come  bearing  sweet  cakes  ,  do  i  get  to  stay  ?  "  begins  he.

a  chuckle  slips  from  the  prince  ,  "  i  do  not  think  that  will  go  in  your  favor  ,  she  could  still  scold  a  corpse.  "  he  jests  in  response.  in  truth  ,  he  could  see  his  mother  doing  just  that  ,  however.  abraxas  tilts  his  head  and  watches  ryon  for  a  moment  ,  one  of  the  rare  times  he  forms  his  sentence  before  speaking.  "  i've  only  spoken  to  her  once.  everything  i  speak  is  what  i  gathered  in  that  time.  "  he  didn't  quite  know  much  deeper  ,  brax  had  always  just  been  amazing  at  reading  people.  he  did  look  into  the  lady  prior  to  their  marriage  ,  but  had  found  nothing  of  note  or  concern.  at  the  question  of  his  wife  abraxas  stills  ,  "  i've  been  so  busy  i  haven't  spent  much  time  with  her.  it's  been  a  rather  poor  honeymoon  and  introduction  to  dorne.  "  he  was  sure  ryon  could  relate  on  some  level  ,  both  of  their  brides  not  being  treated  well  by  hidden  forces.

“ i’d sooner play dead , ” ryon jokes , “ that way she cannot submit me to a scathing inquisition . ” with that , he has forgiven abraxas of any childish vexations he had previously been holding against him . for the moment , at least . “ you seem to know more about my wife than i do , ” he shrugs listlessly . he knew what abraxas’s position on the council entailed — knowing things about others that most did not . but he did not relish the idea of abraxas knowing his secrets —  nor denyse’s . regardless , he changes the subject . “ how is princess sharra ? ” she too had been affected by the attacks , after all . though less gossip swirled about her , she stood in a similar position to denyse .

"  are  you  calling  me  light  ,  little  snake  ?  "  he  asks  with  an  amused  smile.  brax  has  never  been  called  such  ,  and  he  doesn't  wish  to  assume  nymeria  is  speaking  of  him  but  it  may  be  even  more  concerning  if  she's  simply  speaking  things  aloud  with  no  provocation.  they  were  dealing  with  quite  a  lot  ,  but  even  that  would  draw  a  raised  brow.  "  is  it  the  same  darkness  still  ailing  you  ?  "  they'd  spoken  of  her  mother  before  ,  and  he'd  hoped  that  their  talk  had  helped  but  worried  it  had  done  nothing  at  all.

 “  i  hope  your  rooms  are  to  your  liking  ,  should  you  need  anything  please  do  not  hesitate  to  ask.  ”  he  was  chipper  ,  far  too  happy  for  abraxas  on  any  other  day.  but  the  prince  was  wed  ,  he  was  happy  ,  and  he  was  in  dorne.  while  sunspear  felt  plenty  crowded  ,  nothing  could  dampen  the  prince’s  mood.  besides  ,  he  was  always  happy  to  show  off  his  home.  or  ,  his  partial  home  now  ,  he  supposed.

 “  and  there’s  my  beautiful  wife.  ”  hums  the  prince  as  he  leans  back  from  kissing  her.  “  have  your  family  settled  in  well  ?  ”  at  least  ,  that’s  where  he  assumed  she’d  gone  when  he’d  been  pulled  away  to  deal  with  a  mess  of  miss-assigned  rooms  and  apparently  no  other  martell  in  sight.  now  that  it  was  sorted  he’d  snapped  back  to  her  side  ,  still  very  much  in  the  newly  wed  phase  of  their  relationship.

 it  wasn’t  as  if  he  was  lacking  in  skills  ,  observant  since  birth  and  clever  since  childhood.  brax  hadn’t  needed  to  slink  through  the  shadows  in  a  very  long  time  ,  but  the  skills  welcomed  him  back  like  the  best  of  friends.  sharra  had  wanted  to  play  a  game  ,  but  brax  be  damned  if  he  lost  it.  it  didn’t  take  long  to  find  her  ,  though  longer  than  he’d  have  preferred.  he’s  deadly  silent  as  the  prince  stalks  up  behind  her  ,  hands  floating  to  the  lady’s  hips  and  lips  brushing  to  her  ear.  “  hello  ,  princess.  ”  greets  he  quickly  ,  if  only  to  avoid  her  having  a  rather  violent  reaction  of  surprise.  “  did  you  really  think  it  would  be  difficult  to  find  a  body  i  know  inside  and  out  in  this  dress  ?  ”

 “  have  you  settled  on  a  date  yet  ?  ”  brax  begins  as  he  eyes  sharra  from  his  lounging  spot  on  the  bed.  it’s  the  warmest  space  in  the  room  ,  the  prince  still  against  every  bit  of  chill  the  north  offers  and  every  bit  bitter  he  both  lost  to  his  nephew  in  the  joust  and  that  the  latter  events  prohibited  them  all  from  leaving  just  yet.  it  was  a  repeat  of  king’s  landing  he  had  no  interest  in  participating  in  yet  here  they  were. // @ruinovs​

abraxas's  eyes  track  his  brother's  movements  ,  assessing  the  other  in  a  state  he  wasn't  too  used  to  seeing.  the  pressure  of  events  and  their  own  mother  was  heavy  on  all  their  shoulders  ,  but  the  prince  imagined  it  to  be  stronger  atop  his  elder  siblings.  brax  was  simply  responsible  for  sorting  through  rumor  ,  not  quelling  whatever  attempt  at  rebellion  this  was  or  sorting  through  the  nobility  in  their  dungeons.  added  on  their  sister's  recent  attempt  at  loss  of  life  and  they  were  all  stretched  thin.  "  i  hate  to  think  about  who  would  have  had  the  access  to  do  that.  "  the  list  was  short  ,  they  both  knew  it.  "  as  we  all  know  ,  her  wrath  has  not  left  any  surface  of  this  castle  untouched.  "  and  why  he  was  staying  out  of  her  way  entirely.

known for eccentrics yet not for anxiousness , it was uncommon to see doran to pace as he was . untethered with an act of direct reason against the crown of dorne had been unheard of for years , peace settled long before . under his mother's rule there had been times of unrest yet swiftly calmed when raised , with tyene there had been nothing to ever come close to what had occurred until the doors were opened to outsiders . ❝ nightshade , almost fatal is what the maesters have said . ignored due to her taking it almost every night . ❞ guilt to settle in for not knowing how badly tyene struggled . ❝ mother is beside herself . ❞

 he’d  spent  all  morning  trying  to  slip  out  of  the  martell  apartments  ,  and  it  seemed  only  by  early  afternoon  was  the  prince  granted  with  his  wish.  if  it  had  been  up  to  him  ,  he’d  have  been  in  sharra’s  room  the  moment  she  awoke.  he’d  been  in  the  red  keep  long  enough  to  learn  some  of  the  secrets  the  old  castle  kept  ,  ones  that  served  him  well  to  use.  the  moment  it  seemed  no  one  was  watching  ,  brax  slipped  through  the  passage  in  his  bedchamber  and  began  the  series  of  twists  and  turns  to  take  him  to  the  arryn  apartments.  it  wasn’t  long  before  he  was  standing  on  the  other  side  of  a  painting  ,  waiting  until  the  voices  drifted  away  and  he  believed  it  to  be  clear  before  slipping  into  her  room.  “  sharra  ?  ”
