Y’all this is a really, really tough decision to make, but due to recent events, I really gotta just, not be here until this semester is over. I absolutely bombed all my midterms and it’s just not working trying to be here, and do college, and get a job all at once. Something must go, and that something is blog activity.

I’m in the final stretch at my community college before I transfer to a 4 year institution, I can’t afford to mess up now. If I fail even one of my classes this or next semester, it means I won’t be able to transfer for a whole other year.

This is for my own good, I apologize to anyone waiting on threads.

Alright amigos let’s get started. We’ve got a lot of ground to cover & I’ve been itching to write this one for a long ass time.

1. Ben is a fake ass bitch who puts on a front of overconfidence to convince himself, his enemies, and his allies that he’s fine especially when he’s not.

2. Omniverse & Ultimate Alien did their fucking best to rip everything away from Ben that made him feel human and normal.

This of course started in Ultimate Alien Episode 1, with his secret identity. This basically began the massive chipping away of anything normal that Ben had. With losing the ability to just be a normal human because everyone now knew that he had the Omnitrix. This also had the added problem of broadcasting his address to every enemy he had on the plant.

& Ben has a lot of enemies.

Naturally, none of this really comes to a head until Omniverse episode 1. When Gwen & Kevin leave.

Which I’m very proud of them for, and in itself is a really good move for their goals and characters. But, they handled it poorly.

They didn’t tell Ben they were leaving until the day of, giving him no time to process that they were leaving, and even Max is guilty of just dropping big life changing decisions on Ben without warning. When he didn’t tell Ben he’d be getting a new partner until after Rook was already there.

Which?? Kind of implies Max knew Gwen and Kevin were leaving ahead of time, which is just a little fucked up?? I’m not saying Ben shoulda been the first to know but he should have known.

Rook & Ben got off to a bad start largely because of the crappy communication in the Tennyson Family, and that’s just a fact.

In Omnivrse we don’t see Ben doing normal things like going to school or hanging out with friends which was at least implied or references too in past series & being supposedly 16 in canon. (My Ben is 18 but still)

Therefor? I have no choice but to assume that Ben was ‘very strongly asked’ to leave school because of the danger he presented to the other students & faculty.

He was basically expelled & the other schools in the city felt pretty much the same way.

So he doesn’t have Gwen & Kevin to ground him, a partner he didn’t get any say in having, has been put at arms length by the people he’s trying to protect, and basically has nothing going on in his life except for protecting them.

Ben’s not having a good time in Omniverse, okay.

Plus they broke him up with Julie, and tried to put him with Kai, who basically broke his heart as a kid and wasn’t presented as having changed or become  better person so I REALLY don’t like ben/kai AT ALL--

But that’s a meta for another day.

At this point, even when his relationship with Rook is better (my Main Rook is @briilliance​ btw) and their friends dating Ben still doesn’t have a lot going for him outside of hero-work.

His willingness to die (he did die once too) and need to  protect people have just gotten worse, and he literally has no regard for his own safety at all.

It was even shown in multiple episodes that without crime to fight, Ben get’s bored, antsy, and actually has to maybe confront the fact that he might have clinical depression that’s gone undiagnosed for idk PROBABLY YEARS.

Basically TLDR: By Omniverse Ben doesn’t have anything left except heroing, all the way down to not even mentioning Sumo Slammers (his big interest in every prior series) & not wanting to go to Mr Smoothies (his favorite restaurant) after Gwen & Kevin left and until he accepts Rook as his partner.

BEN NEEDS A HUG & TO REBUILD A NORMAL LIFE & like. Can someone tell him he doesn’t always have to be the hero?? that he’s more than just a hero?? Cause yeah he doesn’t need to re-learn that how he uses the Omnitrix is what makes him a hero.

But fuck he needs to learn that it’s okay to be HUMAN too.

Okay but Villain!Eraserhead would be so fucking hilarious because he’s basically untouchable by anyone with a non-mutation quirk + Aizawa has proven to be vastly intelligent anyway so he wouldn’t have much trouble with people whose quirks he couldn’t erase to begin with.

Then comes the kids. Just. Lawful Evil Shouta slowly getting attatched to these dumb reckless, bad luck having hero kids.

So like are we just never gonna talk about how Ben has, on MULTIPLE occasions been physically affected by his alien forms when their going through some shit?

Like, when he had those Necrofridggian (Big Chill) Babies [Alien Force Season 2 Episode 17] and the weird hormones carried over to his human form? Or how when his Methanosian form (Swampfire) was going through some kind of alien puberty [Omniverse Season 5 Episode 7] Ben got insane face deforming boils?

Or how you could make the case that Ben’s ridiculous smoothie cravings are actually not his own & a direct result of wearing the watch?

I mean yeah Necrofridggian’s are apparently gender-less & reproduce asexually but bro. Bro if mating instincts can happen like that, what else is Ben gonna suffer through?? I NEED ANSWERS PEOPLE.
