💖- A memory that made them feel special

The first time Loki ever felt special was when he was really young. He’d known for years of his brother’s proficiency for the things that suited the eldest prince - that suited Odin’s heir. Of course, he was always a little disappointed that Thor was always the one that seemed better than him. He hadn’t felt special at all for the longest time. No, it wasn’t until one of his earliest memories of him and Frigga, that he felt any semblance of that. After all, she had been the one to pick up on his affinity to magic - magic that she could teach him more about, in fact.

Of course, Odin was none to happy that Loki had even wanted to practice such a thing ( it was a woman’s thing and Odin was very sure that Loki was not a woman ) but Frigga insisted all the same, and it was established. Loki would study magic with his mother while Thor was studying - as long as he put more effort into his study and mastery of weapons and other “princely” things.For years, Loki practice alongside his mother as well as any other students the goddess would take on. He loved the sense of seniority, and the ability to coach and help others who struggled with what came so naturally to him. He may have even felt entitled - but no, he did not feel special. He did not feel special until the day he was set to guide some young sorceress in her proving battle before the King himself, and when he showed compassion and guided her like a leader, Odin smiled. There was no time else, that Loki ever felt as special as in that moment.

   His hands raise on reflex, but he doesn’t make any move to get away, just lightly places his hands on the other man’s arms. Loki blinks and his lips part as he chuckles, a smile spreading across his face. He leans into the kiss, humming softly in happiness.   “ Mhh. I have absolutely no issue with that, starshine. ” He murmurs softly.

   The clearing of his throat is a bit louder now, bright eyes downcast. He sighs - was it too obvious that he was embarrassed ?? That admitting such things caused his veins to run warm and his heart rate to rise; had he even really admitted this to himself ??
