Hi! My names arthur and im working on improving my word and building my story, which currently has no name haha! I have a myriad of characters who ill try to list out and give brief descriptions of, aether is technically my main character and some of the characters who are up for question are dead in canon. But you can still ask them stuff, itll just be set before death.

When asking characters questions, rememeber to include the name, their age if theres diffrent ages, i dont mind repeated questions, but if you see the question try not to ask it again lol. 57- proud stay at home dad, buff but does the typically wifely duties, makes sure his children get enough love, nutrience and care

54- very active, the money maker, kinda soft, both her and her husband poseidon are so just in love with their kids, dote on them constantly, very extroverted, always makes time for her kids

13- sweet, optimistic, always looks on the brightside and tries to see the good in others. Little heater, understands that sometimes fighting is the only option

16- lively, very loose and relax, can get serious when needed though, always making jokes and trying to lighten up the mood

19- a bit more, mellow. Still quite lively and childish, but with two signifigant-others you have to settle down sometimes

16- serious, seemingly colder towards everyone, gets along great with psycho-lops, makes him new eye-patches to pass time, actually just very monotone and blank most of the time, although she does care

17- quiet, intense eyes, always sounds vaugly confused when he speaks, deep voice lol, likes to train, doesnt understand barks need to tease others, likes to read to the children

20- quiet, intense eyes still, more so nervous sounding, slightly paranoid, cluastrophobic and cant stand dusty places, usually in his house or at the docks, doesnt really go anywhere else

17- loud, headstrong, adamant about her opinions, gets along well with bark, she tries alot to be intimidating, not a twig, but not very big, pretty friendly and sociable

You make your family members attend the funerals of people they accidentally kill? 🤢 That’s kind of...mean. Especially since it was accident that wouldn’t have happened if you didn’t change them...Did you make Esme do that too? Is it like when you rub a dogs nose in its pee after it pees on the floor kind of thing?

If I’m not mistaken, it seems Edward has been up to something somewhere, but I’m not entirely sure where and we are not, at the moment, on the same continent (he’s still in Europe, where Renesmee is finishing her internship year and I’ve returned to the US because the pandemic is raging here). He hasn’t updated his blog in years but it seems some of you are picking up new information from him somehow. It’s always slightly frustrating for me, please understand, because how Edward views who I am and what I do is always tainted by his very flat, if deeply admiring, view of me: he neither easily admits complexity, nor is he comfortable acknowledging how deeply and completely he is loved.  Yet. The funerals. Yes, we go. I do not force anyone, and no, it is not “like rubbing a dog’s nose in its pee” which is both a disgusting analogy and, if I understand the dog training literature correctly, an ineffectual practice, and so would prove that it was the wrong thing to do even if it were analogous. So allow me to explain, and please forgive me for using language which may be a bit more canonically Christian than the language I most often use here. It’s impossible to explain this practice without explaining where it is rooted for me. Asking my children to attend the funerals likely looks like a practice which is rooted in an idea of sin and stingy forgiveness, when it is in effect, anything but.   The Church, by which I mean both the Anglican Communion, which after all these years and my own tumultuous relationship with it, I still consider myself a part, and the Christian church more broadly is built on the idea of redemption. It is the whole point of the entire religion’s practice. In other faiths, wholeness with God, the Spirit, Mother Earth, or what that religion particularly names the unifying force is achieved through various means--understanding puzzles, spending time in nature, meditating deeply on ancient texts. Christianity, however, is built on the idea that first, one repents, and it is in that repentance that one is able to open oneself. So you’ll find that in the churches whose services are built on the Book of Common Prayer, often the service begins with a rite of repentance which these days reads something like, “We confess that we are in bondage to sin and cannot free ourselves.”  When I was growing up, I was taught that this repentance was like a punishment. That I was impure, and that weekly, and sometimes daily, I was expected to atone for this impurity by confessing all that I had done wrong. I understood that as a very real, visceral way of keeping my soul out of what I imagined was quite literal hellfire--that God wanted me to repent because I was bad, and had done bad things, and that without that repentance, I could not have His forgiveness and that without that forgiveness, I would burn.  Yet even though my father’s hatred ran deep, even as a human I was already struggling with the idea of this as being punishment. The Gospels are mostly about love, not damnation and rules. “Love one another as I have loved you” is the Great Commandment, not “Bow before me in guilt.” As I became an immortal, and my own sense of compassion strengthened, it became even harder to justify, and when I myself stepped into the role of father, it became impossible for me to imagine God as a parent who somehow wanted His children to suffer unless they did exactly as He said. It made no sense to me, and I was utterly unable to reconcile that view with the all-consuming love I felt for my own children. The Greek word used for Christian repentance is metanoia, which means a “changing of the mind” (think metamorphosis and paranoia). It’s a change in direction, a turning around from the direction in which you were going.  As I’ve studied more of the historical and contemporary Christian mystics, I’ve found that many of them think of this changing direction in a way that is less about hellfire and damnation and more about finding the way back after sin has caused you to wander away. God’s love might be conceived as a map which charts the way back to that all-consuming love--a love that is always given, but can be hard to accept without a willingness to turn around. But you can’t use a map if you don’t know where you are, and it is in that act of repentance that we hit the metaphorical, “Find me” button and spin the GPS to pinpoint ourselves.  Now, my children don’t all believe in God, and certainly not all to the same degree. But they have a love that I hope is a holy, eternal love, because of the way that I, and their mother, love them.  So no, I don’t force any of my children to do anything. But I urge them to come with me to remember those whom they’ve killed, and they always do. Because they know that I want to help them find where they are, so that they can more easily use my love as their map to come back to wholeness.

My favorite ships are Ada x Freddie, Esme x John, Polly x Aberama. My least favorite ships are Tommy x Grace, Tommy x May, Tommy x Alfie and Tommy x Jessie.

I don’t hate any of these characters, but I just think these are horrible couples. My favorite characters are John, Finn, Bonnie, Polly, Freddie and Ada.

Yeah, the blog title is meant to be funny and it’s also true and everybody should read that book. Union workers are so important. That’s one reason I like Freddie so much.

As mentioned in my previous post, vampires are impossible to miss in the sunlight.  Due to the properties of vampire’s venom and the effect it has on a vampire’s skin, it reflects sunlight in such a fashion that it can be confused for the individual being lit on fire.  Even in indirect sunlight, such as through tinted windows or hidden in the shade or during a cloudy afternoon, a vampire’s skin has a sort of luminosity that is impossible not to notice.  This is why nomadic vampires tend to only travel at night and stay hidden during the day—unless the sun is completely covered by thick storm clouds, they simply cannot pass as human and they cannot uphold the absolute law of their kind.  Secrecy is key.

That being said, the sun doesn’t merely affect the way others see them.  When a vampire is out during the day time and touched by the sun, even indirectly, it is an incredibly uncomfortable experience for them.  Their skin is sensitive to the heat of the sun, leaving their flesh tingling with the sensation of being too tight, almost like the aftermath of a sunburn.  Likewise, their eyes are so well tuned to seeing in absolute darkness that, in the sunlight, they find themselves somewhat disoriented by the light.   While not overly painful, the feeling is akin to the light sensitivity a human experiences with a migraine, leaving them feeling uncomfortable and distracted by the discomfort.

Unlike most of their kind, the Cullen family is capable of walking in the sunlight among the humans.  Shortly after Rosalie and Emmett returned to the Cullens permanently, Rosalie’s growing exasperation toward the constant dreary, predominantly white  ( and racist )  communities they had been forced to settle down in finally came to a head, forcing the family to discuss an option Carlisle had previously avoided.  This option was a whispered secret amongst their kind, something Carlisle had only ever heard of in passing during his time with the Volturi, an unknown factor that was spoken of as perilous and dangerous to their kind...  but it was still a lead that the family deemed worthy of pursuing.

It was ultimately Esme who took the initiative to hunt down the witches of old, flying to New Orleans to seek out the only lead they had on a line of true witches that followed the old ways and knew of their kind’s existence.  Finding them was easy—they knew what she was, knew what she sought—no, the difficulty of the situation presented itself in the form of equivalent exchange, as Esme had to give payment worthy of the items she wished to receive.  The amulets that the Cullens would require were a product of blood magic, something permanent and extremely powerful:  the bloodstone amulets, crafted with the sole intention of allowing vampires to move about freely in the sunlight.  The exchange that Esme chose was monetary in value, as she used much of the Cullens’ wealth to purchase all means of ingredients to make an equal trade.

The bloodstone amulet is a charm made of pure obsidian and imbued with the blood of the creator.  ( Obsidian was chosen due to its natural ability of absorbing natural energy like a sponge. )  Each bloodstone is bound to a single vampire by a piece of themselves—hair or venom—and is as eternal as they are, meaning they will not wither to time even if the jewelry holding them does.  While in contact with a vampire’s skin, the bloodstone amulet shrouds them in protective illusionary magic, a spell that both alters how the sunlight interacts with their skin as well as the sun’s negative impact on their bodies.  While there is still some mild discomfort, it is negligible with the aid of a bloodstone, allowing vampires to truly walk amongst humans in broad daylight.

The Cullens chose to fashion their amulets into a unique family crest in order to further symbolise that they were more family than coven.  Each person chose the form in which they wished to wear their crest, some more unique than others, always perfectly fitted so that the bloodstone remains pressed firmly against their skin.  For Carlisle it was a ring, while Edward and Jasper fashioned theirs into wrist-cuffs.  Esme and Rosalie both chose to wear fashionable bracelets of delicate gold and silver, while Emmett fashioned his into an ear-cuff and Alice wove hers tightly around her throat with a lace choker.  Upon Bella’s transformation, her own amulet is fashioned into a ring that she wears on her right hand, bearing the family crest.  ( This changes every now and then—after all, while the stones are eternal, the jewelry is not, which gives them all a chance to switch things up. )

I was wondering how you think each of the members of the og cullen clan would deal with being imprinted on (we can assume that they're not with their designated partners in this scenario) I apologize in advanced if you've already answered a similar question, I'm still making my way through your blog!

Assuming their canon partners aren’t in the picture (because if they were I honestly think it would just end up being platonic imprints. The idea is they have to be ‘whatever you need’ and if they’ve already got Vampire Forever Love they don’t need a romantic partner, so the imprint, if we stick to the letter of canon, would take a non-romantic form.  Maybe Esme ‘needs’ another child; maybe Emmett ‘needs’ a brother like the ones he misses from his human life, maybe Carlisle ‘needs’ a werewolf who loves science and biology and wants to study the species with him, etc), I think Rosalie would be the most resistant because she wants that normal human life and mystical imprint by wolf-person would just make her already non-human life even more in-human (also, the smell, eww, gross, mongrel, etc). She’d be stubborn and tell them to get lost and refuse to admit for the longest time when she started to return interest. I think she would eventually fall for the wolf because the culture of the wolf pack has a lot of the same “Hakuna Matata” as Emmett, and she said that’s just what she ‘needed.’ Jasper might be leery of it, but he would feel the emotions and that would be hard to ignore. Alice wouldn’t like not being able to see the future anymore, although maybe there would be an imprint exception? I imagine that would be her big issue with it, not knowing what is going to happen while the wolf tries to tell her this is forever.Edward would probably be the next most stubborn because “oh you could have a nice life with a human but now you’re stuck with meeee no we mustn’t!” But he’s be able to read the wolf’s mind and know the depth of the bond so I don’t think he would be grossed out; he defended Jacob to Bella re: the imprint because of his mind-reading and seeing how pure it was. Emmett, Esme and Carlisle I imagine would just sort of have ‘normal’ love stories, get to know the wolf, fall in love, etc. I don’t foresee anything especially dramatic here, they’re pretty open-minded and friendly so the inter-species thing probably wouldn’t bother them much. but again, this is assuming they aren’t already paired up, because I don’t think any of them would leave their partners for an imprint. Vampire Forever Love is apparently just as immutable. and it has the weight of personal history on its side.
