i live near milwaukee and there is a street that has three bars in like. a semi circle, and they are pretty much college bars (sticky floors, people packed like sardines) but i am a super quiet person irl so i would much rather just people watch than partake in the convo

anyway tonight i saw two girls motor boating each other, two grown men almost get into a physical fight over a chair (?), and a drunk man giving a very irritated bar tender a high five

i didn’t stay long bc i got overwhelmed but yeah hmm

im in a private school this semester and i have 5 kiddos on my caseload!! i started working with them this week and they are so!!!!! stinking!!!!! cute!!!!!!

i found out my first ever boyfriend was cheating on me on valentines day through a FACEBOOK !!!!!! post (he said happy valentines day emily i love you!!” uhh that’s not me)

then i met my most recent ex and he never made any effort whatsoever!! i had to plan everything for valentines day

and half of the time he would talk about how he hated it and how it was a dumb made up holiday

so year after year i begged him to do something, i just wanted to feel special

and year after year he’d start a fight with me about it that would lead to me crying, and he’d either ignore me or just watch me cry

so i have this weird trauma surrounding the day, and it makes me so so anxious every year when people even mention it

but!!! this year: im getting a megumi tattoo and spending the day in chicago doing everything i wanna do while trying to be as nice to myself as possible

i am hopeful this year will be okay
