Hello everyone!! This is a character I came up with after watching "Forbidden Zone". I thought that if Queen Doris had Bust Rod as a servant, why couldn't Satan have his own servant? And that's where Ladius came from!!

Ladius (yeah I suck at choosing names lol) is Satan's servant in the Sixth Dimension, serving him and being loyal to him no matter what. Clearly both Ladius' design and the background are inspired by Oingo Boingo's debut EP album. I tried to make his design as close as possible to Louis Wain's style even if it doesn't have all the details that the original has (•~•;⁠)

Anywho, he is very cuddly and is very attached to his master, to whom he has a great appreciation and respect and loves to be with him! He communicates with movements of his tail, which most of the time is kept up, although sometimes he also expresses himself with one or another sound like meowing, purring, hissing, etc.

His relationship with the other inhabitants of the Sixth Dimension are not very relevant, he gets along well with some, with others badly (like Bust Rod and the princess, who are his mortal enemies) but none of them compares to his lovely boss ✨

Below I will leave some close-ups so you can see better some details as tiny as they may be. I'll upload more of my boy soon, but for now I'll say goodbye-goodbye. See ya!!

Hallo! I've come to talk about some OCs because why not?

This is Henry Stevenson. He's 22 years old. He's in college and majoring in chemistry. He's also short.

His story is inspired off of the song Weird Science by Oingo Boingo. The song Raising the Dead by Jessica Law also fits. It's a very Frankenstein-y story with mad science. While the plot is serious and stuff, it has a weird and wacky vibe in my head. Just the goofs idk.

Henry has a best friend. Victor Shelley.

Victor is 23. He's also in college, but he's majoring in engineering. He's significantly taller than Henry.

He and Henry met in highschool where they bonded over similar interests in ✨science✨

After a couple years of friendship, they decided to try figuring out a way to create life. (Frankenstein style) Their first success was in college. This success was a rat they named Edward. To bring this rat to life they used a combination of electricity and chemical solutions.

Victor was at first joyed that it worked, but soon became wary as he believed it was wrong. The dead should stay dead.

Henry however, became motivated at this success and decided that their next step should be to bring a human to life. Overachiever. Victor was not aware of this until a while later when he saw the mostly assembled corpse on the operating table in Henry's lab/basement. Victor immediately noped out once he found out what Henry was doing.

This is Mary Robert. She is the human Henry brought back to life. Whether she can still be called "human" is debatable. She's slightly taller than Victor.

Later on, a costume party was thrown at Henry and Victor's college. Henry decided to surprise Victor with his success by bringing Mary along as his plus one. Victor happened to have brought his girlfriend Laura, a history major, as his date to the party.

This is Laura Le Fanu. 22 years old and somehow shorter than Henry.

Anyways, Victor was appalled at Mary's existence and decided to speak to Henry in private. Laura had no clue about what was going on, she decided to chat with Mary. The two girls got along fairly well in their dates' absence.

Blah blah blah. Later on when Henry was in his lab/basement he noticed that Edward had begun deteriorating. Shortly afterwards the rat died. Henry was distressed and examined Edward to try to find out why that happened. It was discovered that Edward's heart progressively weakened due to pumping the chemical solution through its veins. To continue living, the rat would periodically require a new heart.

Sometime in the distraction and stress caused by Edward's death Henry accidentally drank the chemical solution instead of his coffee. a la Heather M style.

Sometime after that as well, Victor sneaked into the lab/basement and sabotages some of the wiring so Henry wouldn't be able to continue bringing stuff to life.

After a month or two? Henry began noticing the same deterioration in Mary, his prized creation. He became desperate to get her a new heart. One night while out on a walk he happened across Laura. Overcome by madness, possibly due to drinking the chemical solution, he knocked her out and dragged her to his lab/basement to transfer her heart to Mary.

Roughly around the same time Victor came to the lab/basement to confront Henry. There he saw Laura, dead and shoved in the corner. He also saw Mary on the operating table a neat hole where her heart would be newly stitched up.

Henry told Victor what he was doing, classic villain monologue style, before pulling the switch to activate the electricity. Victor warned him too late.

Henry pulled the switch and electricity courses through him (and Mary), effectively killing him. Victor, horrified that he caused the death of his ex-best friend, retreated to his house unaware that the electricity not only killed Henry, but brought him back to life.

That's the end of their story. Now for fun facts!

Henry Stevenson was named after Henry Jekyll and Robert Louis Stevenson, the author of Jekyll and Hyde. Victor Shelley was named after Victor Frankenstein and Mary Shelley, the author of Frankenstein. Mary Robert was named after Robert Louis Stevenson and Mary Shelley. Laura Le Fanu was named after Laura from Carmilla and Sheridan Le Fanu, the author of Carmilla. Edward the Rat was named after Edward Hyde.

Mary has beautiful brown eyes to contrast the creature's terrifying yellow eyes in Frankenstein.

Character designs were inspired off of Elevator Hitch and Brightgoat's Frankenstein.

The setting is 1984 suburban Oregon.

The name of the story is The Sparks of Creation.

BUT some more personal recs would be anything Talking Heads but especially these two. I play them on repeat all the time, theyre so groovy and have that kind of fun almost slightly goofy vibe that Oingo Boingo has. And definitely Howard Jones, I saw him at Live Aid and it did not do him justice, his stuff is wicked and a lot more complicated than it sounds!

Also kind of a curveball but some Duran Duran pairs well. The Reflex is my favourite by them but also Wild Boys and Notorious are great. Some of their newer albums are very gothy too :)

Some very slightly heavier stuff that’s got a bit of gothy vibes is Killing Joke (I saw them live when I went to see Billy Idol and I think my hearings never been the same lmao, they’re suuuper goth and fun) Also Sisters of Mercy goes well too! Also The Cramps, Misfits, The Damned, etc
