the amount of fanmeets a lot of them do in general is insane. i do understand that this is how the company and the actors make a lot of their money, but come on they are overdoing it at this point. they are actors after all and not idols even tho p’tha called them “idols” 🗡️🗡️🗡️

i remember gem saying that he will have two shows next year, but idk if they will pair him up with a girl for the second one or if it will be another show with fourth. tbh before part 1 aired i was so sure they were gonna give winnysatang their own show with gemfourth as a side couple plus their own show as mains lol

yeah mark was doing the most this year, and i love that for us and because i do5 think i would ever get tired of seeing his face. i’m still a bit sad about him having to drop out of cooking crush because getting more of neomark would’ve been epic. but it was also understandable because he had OF promo and shooting for last twilight going on at the same time. anyways, i do hope he will get offered more serious and maybe even lead roles now that he’s established himself an actor who can do more than just play the comic relief.

And Fan Art Friday returns!

Tonight in honor of my fabulous older sister visiting home for the week and having the whole family together under one roof at my house (if I've seemed inactive in the last few days this is why lol), I thought who better to share this week than the living members of Lightfoot family? ❤️

Watching Onward for the first time and noticing that the upfront family dynamic was a younger sibling, an older sibling, and a strong, independent, hard working mother, I couldn’t help but wonder to myself: “wow, who does this family remind me of???”

…and from there it really wasn’t long before I had a wide-eyed realization… 😲

basically I see my own family a lot in Ian, Barley, and Laurel and watching that (among other things) on screen makes me feel seen! It’s one of the many reasons why I personally find Onward to be such a huge comfort for me. Not everyone in the world has the typical mother father brother sister family, in fact many families, and many families I know irl, come in all shapes and sizes, and it doesn’t have to be huge or perfect to be loving and supportive! ✨

so it really makes me happy to see this kind of representation in the media! I love my mom and sister more than anything and really appreciate having them in my life with me, same as how Ian had come to appreciate his family, and I couldn’t ask for anything or anyone better! 😘

- watched this movie for the first time in 5th grade in art class cause the teachers wanted us to do art matching music later and all i have to say is these 5th and 6th grade art classes did more for my art career than 4 years of college ever could. - ART

- i dont watch this movie often, in fact i think ive only watched it twice, 5th grade and in 2017, cause its a 2h visual and musical heavy movie, but its just pure art. It’s those movies that its best watched after years cause its so dense, different and unique. People are nuts when they say disney does always the same thing cause this is only their 3rd movie and LOOK AT IT. I do prefer my movies to be within the storytelling conventions but thank god theres these pearls once in a while.

- while i prefer the sequences with living characters and story, i find this first one very satisfying. Basically just animation that fits the sound. The animators are so creative

- love the nutcracker sequence. Those fairies with water drops in the beginning are so stunning. People talk about that Angelina Jolie fish in sharks tale but Disney’s been sexualizing fish since the beginning of times 😭 amazing tails and eyes tho ✨. The changing seasons part!!!! Specially when it changes from autumn to winter is so beautiful. Those winter fairies are everything

- sorcerer mickey is so great. I love the water animation in this sequence and think its incredibly in tone with the score. Simple story but with great message. I love mickey so much 😭

- the dinosaur sequence is probably my least fave. The lava part is too long (probably to match the music tho), i like the evolution part, dont really care for dinosaurs but why did they have to kill my boy like that 😭, and then they kill everyone 😭😭😭😭, but its really well animated. Just drags a bit and its not the most interesting topic but its probably all to match the music

- the soundtrack part is amazing. It’s just mindblowing to me how animators are able to put the sound of different instruments into visual art. Even her anxiety is captured 😭

-the mythology sequence is my fave!! Specially the centaurettes scenes. It’s just such a chill and pleasent forest with the unicorns, pegasus, angels and centaurs. Wish i live there so bad, swimming in those lagoons and dressing up with flowers 😩 but then of course comes Zeus, the party pooper 🙄 let us live man. This scene would really have been perfect if it weren’t for the racist caricatures. Those centaurs were really close to being pretty but them boom exagerated features and slaves…….

- the ballet sequence is not the best but still pretty cute. I specially like the hippo and elephants’ parts. Love how disney draws animals ugh i could never

- so bizarre to go from dancing ostrichs, alligators, hippos and elephants to collecting the souls of the dead and a giant mountain monster but that’s cansai for you 😅 . Really terrifying and epic. One of my fave scenes

- overall i love the nutcracker, sorcerer mickey, mythology and mountain monster scenes the most

- the most beautiful disney movie along with sleeping beauty

- it really astounds me the talent and creativity of disney animators back then. Of course theres still incredible talent now but i guess it just fascinates me how they could put out such quality animation without the money, resources and number of workers that they have now. Plus this was such a high risk project, even today, but they still gave it 200%

I was a little worried, but if this is working it means that you have developed and showed them to us so well, that I could do this. I have a feel for them now and these descriptions and dialogues felt right for them. ✨ They are specific darlings and having insight into each of their motivations and backstories and what they feel and want for each other is very helpful.

Though I wouldn't be against a roleplay crossover like this, cause I love your dialogue and it would be fun thinking up comebacks for that.🤣

Astrea felt like she would do something epic and right to convince them, while Elijah doesn't seem the type to handle diplomacy well when everyone is so tense and worried 🤣. But he found Zephyr upon arrival, which proves his underworld contacts - you would find rebels only through those, because everyone would be saying the same thing to be safe from the tyrannical rule around them.

Also knowing how bashful Astrea is about her appearance, I wanted Skye to accidentally stumble upon that with her impression of her. 💕

I also wanted to make a big deal out of Skye deciding to tell Astrea their names as a sign of trust. 🔥

I have so many headcanons for them now 🙈❤

Just let these people bond with each other and face dangerous situations together.

Honestly Leander would be on boat seeing Antor and follow him around like a lost puppy.

Skye would totally love Astrea, her magic, her determination, her selflessness and empathy. Astrea and Zephyr have many similar core values and attitudes, and Skye would just love and appreciate her and want to be close friends.

Zephyr would stay suspicious just to balance that the other two - usually the most suspicious and distant people while he is the connector - falling so hard and quick to trust these people.

Zeph would be suspicious about Elijah the most, as Usurper's son (isn't this a conflict of interest, overthrowing a man who could give you the throne?) As someone close to Astrea and wanting her as true heir (isn't that a show? Why would an heir look for another heir to replace him with? What if he is playing her?)

Zephyr would really make them work for new recognition and trust from the people he gathered. And Astrea would impress him everytime and be happy he I so strickt with her, which would confuse him as heck

I would hope for Elijah to teach Zephyr some fun and to relax. Zeph would be too uptight in this world XD and with his responsibility and control complex and wanting to do everything on his own so he wouldn't have to, he would be driving himself insane without any respite. Elijah and your gang teaching him to relax a little, dance, spend time with those you love would be so cute.

I can just imagine Elijah dragging Zephyr to wear cooler clothes and be more attentive to Skye and relax and trust him more and Zephyr pushing these deep heavy conversations on him 🤣, like stay on track, while Elijahi is like "what are we alive for you, huh? You have to enjoy it a little too", and then Elijah sometimes does reveal things under the jokes, sometimes just plays him off, sometimes just drags him to have some fun instead...let these two become really slow friends 👀 cause I feel like this spot is kinda free for him after you leave Louis behind in Oracea and William is Astrea's best friend first.

Skye just becoming Astrea's confidant, and giving her that unconditional absolute love and support without any of the doubt, worries or difficult experiences Astrea had in Oracea. Cause in Pyria she is the star and hope and Skye would let her feel that.

Why do I imagine Skye and Elijah thinking up together what other Senate official to grab and talk, cause they would be either easy to blackmail or possible to get to their side...and Skye picking people and Elijah spreading his webs of machinations and convincing potential...

Also there is so much danger and injury potential in this setting.👀 Someone is being followed randomly by the guards (whatever police/commando for intimidation there is) and is scared to be alone, someone gets beat up out of fun right on the street cause they were standing too straight or dared to glare, there is a corrupt magic market spreading and Zephyr wants to deal with that cause it's jeopardizing their preparations, every move is risky, gets you blacklisted, helping others once they are target will get you in prison for the night, random but regular interrogation sessions that are just excuses to torture you for the joy, whistle-blowing from jealous neigbours,...(this was all historically real under fascist Germany and the communists, can you believe it)
