As he spoke about the new place they would be finding themselves in, Ciri could feel her worry disappearing and being replaced by a sense of excitement. One of the perks with her ability was being able to see so many fascinating places and meet all kinds of people.
"I can't wait to see it. This is the place with machine's, right?" She was already trying to grasp her mind around it, but wouldn't believe it until she was it with her own eyes.
"I'm ready to go when you are." She declared, hoping this would keep Eredin off their trail for a good while at least. Until they could come up with a way to stop him for good.
She was already for her next adventure, filled with many questions.
"It is a minor inconvenience. A temporary one at that." He waved off her concerns as he didn't want her worrying herself over it. They would soon find more comfortable lodgings and preferably far from here. "I believe Night City will be a welcome change in aspects of personal comforts." He knew that it would be a very, very difficult place for Eredin to find them... and he was undeniably enthusiastic at the idea of showing such a place to her. "It isn't like any world you've ever seen before." He had not anticipated this when he had first leapt in to pull her out of trouble with Eredin and the Wild Hunt. Had not anticipated that he was going to enjoy traveling with her or how much he wanted to share these places with her.

@stellsaria said: "fate is another lie told by the gods. nothing is written that cannot be unwritten." [From Adam for Hope]
Having started to piece together a little of her old life before losing her memory, the shock of discovering that the God of Murder, Bhaal, was in fact her father wasn't easy. But if anything, it helped explain where her dark urges came from.
Hope sighed. "Luckily, I don't believe in any of the gods... much less my own father." She whispered that last part, hoping he couldn't hear it. "I no longer want to be an instrument of death." After all, she had come to enjoy the beauty of life itself, along with simple things like animals and laughter. "But I don't think it would so easy to defy a god, much less the fate they try to write for us."

@dulcetfanged continued from HERE!
Synnove listened quietly, giving her a empathetic look before nodding, realizing it was her turn. The elven bard sat down, pulling out her lyre and strumming a small tune. It was a habit she did when even thinking about her own father. It was something that helped calm the raging storm within. "My father is a magistrate in Baldur's Gate, and he has a habit of not letting me forget it. I don't think anything I ever do will make him happy or see me as something more. He doesn't even think of me as a daughter... only as a transaction---a burden--- to sell off to a noble lord in an arranged marriage."
A harsh tune sounded from the lyre and she stopped, trying to put a smile back on her face to hide the pain. "I'm guessing from your story that vampire's aren't so welcoming towards their own children?" She wouldn't know. This was her first time being around vampires...as far as she knew.

@albinoxherbalist continued from HERE!
"I was making my way to the village up ahead. I'm trying to look for work---or at least anyone who is willing to take me." Outside the walls of Dol Blathanna was proving to be a different type of world entirely. Not many were welcome to elves, even elves who wanted to be bard's. At this point, Synnove was used to getting harsh laughs back in her face.
"Even as a herbalist, I'd consider it an important role in society." Synnove would even say they were healers in their own rights. Even a good mage or sage would need to use herbs for certain things, so it was important to have someone to trade with for ingredients.
"I'm glad to have met someone kind on this journey so far. Sometimes I think I should have listened to my teacher and stayed put in Dol Blathanna."

The Goddess of War can tell this information is bothering Torunn. She shouldn't be so surprised by it. After all, it seemed her daughter from another world assumed her parents would be together in this world too, but alas, it was not meant to be here. Plenty of things were not meant to be in this one...
Taking a swing of her drink once more, she glances around the tavern, wishing for things to be different. But it wouldn't change a thing. Her only concern at this point would be returning Torunn back to her proper place and time.
"I'm not sure where to begin to ask." Sif replied. "Your big bad is Ultron, and mine was Thanos. Have you figured out a way to stop him? Or have your parents? You shouldn't be parted from them for so long. Asgard... Asgard needs you too."
If she could have done anything to prevent the fall of Asgard, Sif would have done it.
A wave of different emotions hit Torunn instantly, due to not knowing how to feel about the information that Sif has just given her. Clearly her expectations of her parents being together in this world, was the wrong assumption to have made and she was angry at herself for thinking so. She didn't even know who this Jane Foster woman is, and a part of her was glad that she would never have to worry about meeting her.
But to hear that Thor in this world, had adopted a child from some god butcher and was travelling the galaxy with her. Made her incredibly jealous for it would have been something she wanted to do with her own father, but she is unable to. She was also starting to find the whole situation rather unfair.
"I see...." The blonde frowns, for she is unsure of how to respond. For the information also confirmed another thing, she did not exist in this world and most likely never will. "Is there anything you want to ask me about my world?" She questions Sif, considering it's only fair to answer questions about her world, that Sif may have.

@bloodedstars said: βHave you everβ¦ killedβ¦ anyone..?β ( Hope )
That was a strange question to ask right off the bat. And yet...it made her stomach twist and turn, head pounding, as if her body already knows the answer to it. All she can picture is a never ending blood bath, which makes her sick. The elven rogue glances at him, calm and collected despite her inner storm. "I've done what I've had to to survive. I-I don't know how else to explain it, but there's a dark power within me that calls for it at times."

@wanderingwolfwitcher continued from HERE!
At his comment about the fools in the tavern, a small and amused smile snuck onto her face. It just seemed there were some people who would never learn, that was for sure.
She quietly listened to his story about the monsters he was hunting, intrigued by it. While she had luckily never come across any of these monsters in her life, she had heard about them, and wanted to learn all she could in order to defend herself, but also for natural curiosity's sake. She was just a simple elven bard trying to make her way in the world and learn more about it. All she had ever known as Dol Blathanna and whatever her teacher would tell her.
"Well, it's a good thing we have you Witcher's now, isn't it? Honestly, we should be more grateful to you instead of hurling insults at you or trying to run you out of town. It must not be easy doing what you do. After all, you're risking your lives to keep asses like them safe. I'm glad to at least be among the few in the good crowd." And then, an idea hit her. Oh, it was a grand and crazy idea, but a good one nonetheless. "Hmmm...I have an idea for you. Would it be okay if I write songs about you, Eskel? I'm just a mere bardess from Dol Blathanna trying to make my way in the music world. It's been a bit rough, you can probably imagine why since most others aren't so welcoming towards my people, but if we were to join forces, I think we could make an excellent team! And then you won't have to spend your days resting in a forest. What do you say?"

@fereldensheroes continued from HERE!
Golden eyes went a bit wide when he mentioned Astarion being a vampire. Not that she didn't already know that bit. It was mostly the fact he knew it when she had promised to keep it a secret in order to keep him safe. Perhaps he had told him or something else? There was something about Adam that sent a chill down her spine, but she wasn't sure on what it was yet.
Either way, she was going to give him the benefit of the doubt and trust her instincts on thinking there is more to him. "The more company, the better I say. When you say you don't keep people around too often, is that because you don't feel much of anything?"

To know that the gods and goddesses worshiped in Skelliege were real and had been watching her all this time, Ciri wasn't sure if she should feel honored or be afraid, but Hel didn't seem to be a bad one. She had been nothing but kind to her so far.
Hugging her cloak around herself, Ciri nodded. It wasn't like she hadn't endured the cold before, but would it be anything like the White Frost? "Yes, I'm ready to go when you are...and thank you for your help. It's just not everyday when one finds out they're being watched by the gods, much less meeting them face to face."
She would have quite the story to tell Geralt and Yennefer when she returned, but they probably wouldn't believe her. At least Jaskier would find it entertaining for his ballad's.
Hel clocked the expression in Ciri's eyes. Met it with a placating smile and an even softer voice. Most people assumed the deathly nature of her god gifts. They neglected the other aspects of it. Death was quiet. Unseen. Even if you expect it, it never comes as you think. And sometimes it is far kinder than you would assume. Her magic had long been honed to calm a bereft or horrified.
She didn't reach out to touch Ciri, as she was want to do. But she didn't need to. That aura of calm radiated from her like the warmth of a space heater.
"Yes." She answered, very casually. She could see that Ciri was a smart girl, no sense hiding what was obvious. "I observed your magic before I ever gleaned the child surprise aspect of your being."
The goddess nodded once, surely. "Good. I will have rations and bedding prepared. Is your cloak warm enough? He sits in a cold place at times."

@bloodofmygrandfather continued from HERE!
Synnove grimaced, recalling the experience pretty vividly, and wishing she couldn't. "Well..." she pointed at one of her golden eyes. "Here to be exact. It isn't a pleasant feeling when it starts squirming it's way in." The bardess then made a face, shaking her head with disgust.
Deciding it was best to change the subject, she motioned for him to follow, starting to lead the way back to the campsite. A change of scenery was most needed. "Come on. We aren't too far from camp. I think you could do with a drink, some food, and maybe rest." That wound to the back of his head had looked pretty bad.

@stellsaria said: "i have to try and stay positive. it's the only way we get through this." [From Filarick for Hope]
"That's easier said than done." Hope remarked, feeling that dark sensation boiling away inside her once again. Anger. Slash. Kill. "Some of us are fighting battles in our minds that no amount of trying to stay positive or even avoiding helps." She didn't understand anything about these dark urges. She wasn't even able to recall anything before she awoke on the nautiloid. "I-I don't want to hurt anyone."
Should she give into it or not? Would it all just be easier and not be so painful if she just gave into it?

@fereldensheroes said: "If thereβs hope for me thereβs hope for anyone." - Nimue for Synnove
The High Elf Bard had been strumming a sweet and inspirational tune on her lyre, doing what she did best, performing for those around her, while listening to Nimue's story. It also helped to calm her nerves. Her golden eyes never left her companion, giving her her full attention, before pausing in her playing. "If you want to resist these dark urges, I believe you can do it. With hope, there is life. It will fill us with courage and make us strong again. I know we will all get through this...we have no other options but to survive."
And that was the goal--- to fight this and survive. She was no stranger to that already.

Her green eyes widened when Cahir mentioned he never thought he had many choices. Even though Ciri was known to be stubborn, willful and following what she wanted, she knew what it was like to feel as though you couldn't make your own choices...or at least you didn't have a say in them. It was why she was the way she was. Even if it was a golden one, a cage was still a cage and she wasn't meant for one. She wanted to fly free.
The witcheress was starting to look at the Black Knight now with a little more understanding. It only grew more as he described exactly how she felt about her role as a princess, as if he had been there alongside her for it. Maybe it had to do with having similar backgrounds? "It appears we share more in common than I thought. You're right...I didn't find it fun or enjoyable one bit. Even when Geralt took me to Kaer Morhen and I was taught by Uncle Vesemir, I never liked the boring lectures. I'd rather practice on the pendulum and put those skills to a dummy."
Ciri paused, clearing her throat, before continuing on. Once he had haunted her dreams for many years, but now, she was starting to see Cahir in a different light. "And you know...you can make your own choices. No one is stopping you. After all, you're here with us, aren't you? That was the choice you made."
"I never thought much about it." he spoke after thinking about it for a moment. "Never had much time to think about choices. Mostly because for most of my life, I never really thought I had many." Cahir took a deep breath and sighed. He probably would have thought about his choices more if he had thought more about what person he actually wanted to be. When he grew up, becoming a knight seemed like a dream. Which young boy doesn't find the idea of becoming a knight appealing? Then again, there was more to a person other that what they do for a living. It should be about what that person does with it. Knights should be chivalrous, right? Under the emperor, just doing his bidding...that really had nothing to do with it.
The image of Ciri playing came up in his mind when she described it and it actually made him smile a little bit. It reminded him when he used to play with other boys when he was younger. Using sticks as swords and such. Those were fond memories. "I can imagine it. Growing up as a princess must have involved many teachings about etiquette and politics. Not something any young girl would find fun or exciting. I certainly hated it when I was young." he spoke, remembering lessons his father gave him regarding etiquette when he was young. It was tedious for sure.

@dirthenasalin said: "sometimes love isnβt enough." - ellana INQUISITION PARTY BANTERΒ || Always accepting!
The statement felt like a knife to the heart for her, making her think about him -- Solas. She wanted to save him -- to make him realize that he didn't need to tear down the Veil and restore the old world. This world was already enough the way it was. But there was no talking him out of it. He was set in his goal and it was clear she would have to stop him.
Ellana bit her lip, trying to hold back the tears. Var lath vir suledin! She had meant what she said, not one for going back on her word. However, this wouldn't be easy. "For once, I just wish it would be. Isn't love supposed to conquer all and heal? Why...why can't it be enough, especially for those we love and want to save from themselves?"

I feel like if Ellana was to get described in promo material like the rest of her companions did from Inquisition, I think she would not only be described as the Leader (cause obvious as the Inquisitor), but also primarily as the Heart because of how she brings everyone together and honestly just wants to help everyone she can for pure reasons.

"You're doing the best that you can, Rook. I didn't become the Inquisitor because I was the perfect person for the job, nor was it fate. At least I don't think it was. I was...more like thrown into it and I just...had to hit the ground running."
She just happened to stumble upon a scene and without thinking, took action to help someone in need, only to take on the Anchor. Everything after that was a whirlwind. After all these years, even with the Inquisition now disbanded, Ellana could recall it all clear as day. She had changed so much and everything had changed along with her.
Her mind suddenly shifted to one of her former companions and she could feel her heart ache with sadness, gripping her tea cup a little tightly. It was best to not ask about him, but she couldn't help being curious and concerned for him too.
