     ❛  would  have  been  nice,  ❜   he  teased.    ❛  don’t  you  want  to  be  in  an  80s  romcom  movie ??  ❜   he  chuckled.  eyes  shifted  up  to  look  at  kai  when  he  responded.    the  last  thing  he  needed  was  for  his  father  &&  uncle  to  find  jacob  talking  to  kai.    and  then  all  hell  would  break  loose.  ❛  i  don’t  want  anyone  F I G H T I N G   anyone  here.   ❜   he  watched  as  kai  continued  to  walk  closer  to  him.   jacob  blushing  a  little.   ❛   yea,  i’m  home  alone.   are  you  going  to  be  my  knight  in  shining  armor  &&  protect  me ??  ❜

       three years.   jacob  couldn’t  believe  it  had  been  three  years  since  he  had  escaped  that  prison  world  &&  met  his  F A T H E R.   but  how  short  lived  that  time  was,  for  a  few  weeks  later,  his  father  was  marked  &&  had  to  run  for  his  life.   three  years  of  not  seeing  him.   jacob  felt  lonely  again,  even  with  the  man  that  watched  over  him.    ❛   i  want  to  go  look  for  him,  ❜   jacob  whispered  at  the  man.

             ❛  oh  my  god–– you  scared  me !!   ❜    he  looked  over  at  kai.    ❛   what  are  you  doing  here ??   ❜   he  walked  over  towards  the  window.   ❛  you  know,  this  is  giving  that  one  vampire  movie,   ❜   he  chuckled.   as  he  extended  his  hand  to  help  him  in.

           jacob  walked  out  from  the  trees  &&  made  himself  known.   he  looked  at  both  of  them,  together,  &&  he  couldn’t  believe  that  they  were  standing  right  in  front  of  him.   these  were  his  parents.   he  had  always  imagined  this  moment  all  those  years  in  the  prison  world,  but  none  of  that  prepared  him  from  getting  a  lump  in  his  throat  &&  having  a  loss  of  words.   he  looked  down  avoiding  eye  contact  before  finally  looking  back  up  at  both  of  them,  mustering  enough  courage  to  speak.

     jacob  had  been  spending  time  with  the  man,  getting  to  know  him.   but  after  some  time,  he  knew  that  he  was  going  to  need  to  tell  the  man  the  T R U T H .    for  now  he  just  said  he  was  a  witch  that  knew  about  the  heretics  &&  find  ways  to  slow  them  down  or  stop  them.   really  he  wanted  to  protect  his  mother  &&  find  some  way  to  get  her  out  from  lily’s  hand.   but  tonight  he  was  focused  on  his  father,  &&  when  he  asked  him  if  he  could  see  him,  he  felt  so  nauseous.   jacob  waited  for  the  man  at  a  diner,  outside  the  outskirts  of  mystic  fall.

      it  had  been  weeks  since  jacob  decided  that  he  wanted  to  go  to  college.   it  had  been  in  his  mind  for  awhile.   he  had  applied  earlier  that  year  &&  got  A C C E P T E D ,  &&  he  thought  this  was  a  great  time  to  finally  move  out  &&  have  his  own  space.    not  like  seven  cared,   but  jacob  decided  they  both  needed  their  space.   after  everything  that  happened  that  night,  jacob  knew  he  needed  a  new  scenery.    

      and  the  couple  weeks  of  being  at  this  school  was  nice,  making  a  couple  friends,  &&  enjoying  the  classes   he  was  in.   but  what  he  wasn’t  expecting  was  seeing  a  familiar  face.   he  walked  over  to�� him  after  his  class  ended.   ❛   what  the  hell  are  you  doing  here ??  ❜   he  said  grabbing  his  arm.
