Inside of the box is a small plush raven, an expensive moonstone necklace, various flavours of teas and coffees, and a new violet robe. There is also a handwritten letter sealed inside of an envelope that reads:

Being nobility and feeling it were two very different things, and the experience varies greatly on a day-by-day basis. Occasionally, even in smaller doses by the second. But this. . . This left him feeling positively royal. To receive such grand gifts from his alternate, well that is a blessing of its own. An ethereal and unmatched magic was at work here, and it tugs at his heart.

Fingers brush over brilliant and dazzling moonstone before the robe is slipped on. Delighted chittering is emitted as he hugs the raven close, eyes closing briefly as he savors the feel of the items. Stolas held no real attachment to his birthdays aside from the time spent with Octavia. He otherwise reserved it for the Earthly traditions and celebrations. Features soften further as he reads the note.

He absolutely is not hastily slipping into his mortal appearance, combing fingers through his hair and preparing himself. Not at all. Oh, but he was eager to see Lucifer again, regardless of what he would or would not be wearing. And if Stolas is lucky, he'll be absent of his attire soon enough.~ The very thought thrills him, sending a ripple of anticipation through the prince. Next stop: Earth, specifically, Lux!

"Happy Birthday Mr. Stolas!" Mini had summoned him because she had heard it was his birthday today. Don't ask how, she has her ways. But she IS giving him a decently sized fresh cupcake with a little candle, and a gift of a baby carnivorous plant she grew. (From Minima, @thethiefsden)

He was neither surprised nor upset by the summoning. It was Halloween, after all, and though it occurred less and less each year, there were random spikes in which he was sought. To be called upon to receive a gift, however, was not expected. The demon gives momentary pause, leaning over Minima with wide, curious hues. A smile curls at the edges of his mouth as he takes each into a hand. One would always win his favor with a sweet treat, and carnivorous plants were a swift way to the prince's heart. They were his favorite out of all the exquisite and exotics in his gardens.

At some point, a violet box with a black silk ribbon is delivered. Inside is one homemade Stolas-sized black forest cake. The card is in fairly passable calligraphy; silver ink on black cardstock simply says B I R T H

Just for him? An appreciative sound escapes the prince as he admires the gift. The box is a beautiful hue, the black ribbon elegant and sleek! Upon opening the gift, he discovers the remarkable cake! How generous! Turning the card over in his hands, he finds only the slightly sweeping letters. They elicit amused hoots from him.

“Happy birthday baby!” He greets with a cake in his hands. It’s burnt to all hell but Atleast frosted nice with the prince’s favorite colors and little doodles of stolas and him holding hands and another where they’re heavily making out. “You’re gonna fucking lose it once you get your presents trust me.” Bliitzo

Soft chirrups are proffered as Blitz approaches. Stolas doesn't mind that the cake is burnt — it's the fact that he made him a cake and even went the length to decorate it! A pleasant ache in his chest begins to sink in, nestling between ribcage. What a thing, for a heart to feel so full! A gentle press of beak to the imp's head. He could kiss him, but he saves that gesture for the time being.

It's funny how it lacked originality and was rather common, yet the demon wished him nonetheless. The insult felt bland, if it could even be called as much. Stolas arches a brow, exasperation easing swiftly into amusement. The edges of his mouth curling with a smirk, beak giving soft, entertained click. Stolas' posture shifts into one more inviting, purposefully insinuating that the other might actually care, and that is the reason for his wishing.
