"Swan Song" by Set it Off is such a devastating song for me to put on Chad's playlist actually. It's so very much the KND at Chad at his betrayal and he knows that, and it still hurts him so bad.

Imagine being 13 and feeling more stress and trauma and PTSD and guilt then 90% of real life adults. It's even my tag for that relationship.

Guess I'm vibing to Chad's 3 Hour Playlist once again for the first time in over a year and a half let's gooooo!

Thinks about Chad's verse where he just dips. Just drops everything and runs away to start a new life. Gets a junker van, tricks it out with kid and teen tech, turns it into one of those van homes, and takes to the road as a vigilante, still fighting adult tyranny but just on his own terms. Leaves a runaway letter for his parents warning them that they won't be able to find him and probably a concerning text to the teen's group chat before going absolutely AWOL. Finally has enough, realizes how much of a clusterfuck he's let his life become. He realizes that he resents his past for creating the monster he is, and resents his present for being a nightmare that destroys what he built as a kid more every day. Just goes off to figure out who he is and who he wants to be and just allows himself to have the childhood he never got to have because he was too busy protecting other kid's childhoods. All the while growing up and figuring out what that means to someone like him. I have a lot of feelings about Chad.

Watching an infinity train retrospective so once again thinking about Chad's Infinity Train verse. Are those still a thing? Is that RPC dead? Anyway:

Chad being on the train would objectively do him good despite the train's nebulous nature because the only way he's gonna work through his problems is if he's forcibly removed from them and made to do some self-reflection without his atrocities actually looking him in the face every day.

His number starts out as 274274274 and it wraps around his hand so the number, his numbuh is just mocking him the entire time.

I always envisioned him, if he had a proper introduction in a season, as either traveling with Amelia and Hazel, or helping Grace rehabilitate the Apex kids, because the Apex itself would remind him of the KND and of why Chad joined in the first place. To help kids.

Chad would be on the train for so fucking long it's not funny, but my Chad has a habit of going to ground for months at a time so no one actually realizes he's not AWOL by choice.

I think Chad's rehabilitation would only work if he had another human companion to talk to because as much as he could work through his problems just fine with a denizen, it wouldn't actually fix him unless he had someone who could leave the train with him and be an anchor. Otherwise, he would be back on the train for if not the same problem, a similar adjacent issue.

I should do that character inspiration meme for chad, but it'd just be Troy Bolton, Agent Twilight, Sterling Knight (in general to represent christopher wilde from starstruck AND chad dylan cooper) Isabella Madrigal, and Aaron Burr. But also A.Ham himself because the Reynolds Pamphlet is such. . . a chad song.

I can never decide if Chad would shove you in a locker or be the guy in the popular kids group who tells them to lay off the lame kids. I think it depends on his mood and what crowd he's hanging with honestly. Chad is a two faced duplicitous bastard and he'll just change whole parts of his personality depending on what the situation calls for to preserve his act as a teen traitor. He's equal parts 'traumatized double agent' and 'disney channel popular boy love interest' and it's the most fascinating combo.
