THINKING ABOUT SABU being used for bets in underground fights. having to put his best into playing dirty to win fights against people much more built than himself. using underhanded tactics to ensure his own survival. the primal urge to survive taking over, mixed with adrenaline & the sound of a crowd. knowing that he cannot bring shame to his family name. everything that he's done in life has been an act to make his FATHER PROUD. he is constantly tripping in shoes much too big to fill. if he got his ass kicked in a fight, he would have to lick his own wounds to find himself healthy again. it didn't matter if he broke or fractured bones, he was anticipated to deal with the pain on his own.

the abuse that he dealt with started young, his father placing him in numerous situations that someone so young should have never been in.

001. emmett, primero supo que era su compañero de trabajo luego cuando un día sintió que la estaban siguiendo lo enfrentó... resulta que el mismo vive en el piso que ella. con el tiempo, él se le declaró diciendo que le gustaba mucho pero dahlia no estaba lista para una relación así que lo rechazó. todavía son amigos, emmett le sigue regalando cositas de vez en cuando. le ha ayudado mucho a adaptarse a todo por lo que lo considera alguien cercano.

003. vienna adler, compañera de trabajo. no le cae particularmente bien, habla mucho y es bien chismosa. sin embargo, si dahlia toma un turno de veinticuatro horas ella también lo tomará. se ha acostumbrado a su presencia, también durante las misiones de alew es ella quién atiende sus heridad y nunca hace preguntas al respecto.

SABU DOESN'T LIKE HIS FATHER, but he lives to please him. everything that he does is for his father's praise. he aims to become better than him, stronger than him. his harsh persona is mimicked after his father's - learning from his intimidation at a young age. he never had a relationship that was loving, or intimate with his father; he was cold & unforgiving. the same way that SABU ended up in his old age. lacking warmth in his relationship with his parents definitely caused him to have some difficulties with personal relationships growing up. never knowing when to truly trust someone else.

after the DEATH of his older brother, his parents only became more distant; treating him like a convicted felon. though, it was not of his fault. to some degree, his father respected him more; but he spoke to him less. it was a hard thing to manage as an impressionable teenager.

SABU learned from his father that he should not trust anyone; not even his closest associates. though, SABU would later come to break this cycle when he met jin, treating his right - hand man & best - friend as his closest companion. he feels lighter in his old age, having those that are close to him. feeling like he has a family that he lacked before. while, he tried to withhold things up to his father's standards, there was some that he had to break. barriers that he had worn down through care & intimacy with people that he hadn't experienced before. AFTER GOING TO JAIL, & having those men see through their sentences beside him, SABU feels like he has a small circle of men that he can trust. he doesn't quite operate with the same iron fist that his father used to, not too far off from it. but SABU doesn't close himself off as much as he used to. there are people in this world that he can trust.

MIEKO & SABU'S SON, ZUKO. i've never spoken about him before here, but he's twenty - years old in his verse. making SABU the age of sixty - six. he was raised mainly by SABU, taking after his father in both height & personality. however, he has a habit of putting on a sweet act whenever his mother is involved. he bleaches his hair & wears lots of piercings just like his father.

he's excited to claim his role as the HEAD of the ITO FAMILY, heir apparent to SABU'S FORTUNE. he doesn't have any fear that he won't be able to perform the same tasks that his father does.

SABU is self conscious about his face, but he acknowledges that the plastic surgery & everything else that he would need to fix it would be so astronomical that he lives with it. his family has a bad stigma towards doctors, which is why it was never treated in the first place. it was never a matter of money to him, it was the fact that his father would judge him for going through the surgeries necessary to fix it. no matter how old that SABU gets, he will always hold a little bit of fear & a feeling of need to keep himself on his father's good side.

basically, he lives the way he does, because he wants to keep his father happy.

SABU HAS AN INCREDIBLY DEEP VOICE, it carries when he speaks. he is someone that could easily talk over someone if he wanted to, but he often chooses not to. even when his voice is kept to a low whisper, it reverberates heavily. it's the voice of someone who when they talk, they are someone that you would want to listen to. this is also paired up with the fact that he is a man of few words, so when he does speak; it's generally something straightforward or blunt. he doesn't waste his time on pleasantries the majority of the time, thinking that they are a waste of time. it's not to say that he hasn't been raised to be polite; just that he doesn't see a purpose in sugarcoating his words.

SABU did used to be a very good fighter in his youth, considering that his family used him in underground fighting rings ( prior to him becoming the heir to the family ). he knows some tactics to take people down, and he never forget them. HE IS A DIRTY FIGHTER, HE DOESN'T PLAY FAIR. but, when he is older, he does not prefer hand to hand combat. he's not necessarily the most physically strong person by any means. SABU is a skinnier man, & he doesn't rely on physical strength for most things. he relies on being manipulative & mentally straining for people to deal with. he likes to put on a front of being frightening to make people not want to get in a fight with him. there is a high chance that most muses can beat him when it comes to physical fights. all of his strength comes from the mental side of things.
