this was supposed to be an easy supply run. supposed to was always the operative run when it came to any town these days. there were more dead than there were living. lucy and her team had split up into teams. she'd been separated by her partner by a small, but still formidable horde. as she made her way through the building, her knife brandished in front of her, fingers holding tight to the hilt, as she cleared the rooms, taking what she could and putting it in her backpack. figuring she'd cleared everywhere, she recklessly followed the sound of banging and groaning, as if she were one of the dead until she came to a doorway. standing under the threshold her crystalline gaze fell upon a woman. "dangerous to be alone these days," lucy commented offhandedly when she was called a guardian angel, accompanying it with a wry chuckle. "i'm always ready, are you?" this could turn bad really quickly, because lucy had no idea if she was going to end up fighting a human and the dead too.

At any point in this hellscape, Thalia had known she could die. She thought she’d accepted it by now, with each close scrape and near death experience it just became more of a reality. Yet as the hoard of Walkers threatened to break down the only barrier between her and them, she was terrified. “Oh all the ways to go out—” She grumbled to herself, cursing under her breath as she frantically looked around for anything to push in front to give her time to look for an escape. Until she saw someone appear in the doorway opposite her, very much not a walker. “My own guardian angel eh,” She laughed, nodding behind her, back pressed against the splintering doors. “There’s at least fifteen of them, you ready?”
