Wait how is his eye cursed? Is it like...if he looks at someone with it, they get bad luck? Or...

I know you probably have your own idea but can't bottle up this other idea I got and gotta share it:

Imagine it being the curse of mild inconveniences...like after seeing it, shadow milk finds himself tripping or running into things more often or equipment for tricks breaking more often and, worse of all...he finds himself stubbing his toe more often XD for like...a month. Sorry it was just too funny not to share the idea lol!

peppermint fudge has basically an attack-dog curse...if his cursed-eye locks onto something he will stop at nothing to destroy it (until his eye gets covered again) . so needless to say he likes to keep it covered . he doesn't quite remember what happens either when he's in that mode

now as for how he got that curse .........

he definitely needs an eyepatch BAD but it isn't really something he's really considered doing since he's mostly been alone and toiling away in beast-yeast ...its not like any cookies were going to show up in the area!! and, if they did, it's not like his eye would be exposed anyway . so he's kind of just let it be

a king always has the final word, but it's up to the advisor to make sure it's the correct final word. the difference between challenging vs outright refusing a kings word is also a fine line to walk on . peppermint fudge was always a bit of an annoying case to those who just wanted to blindly follow their new ruler's word-- but to dark cacao, these are the moments that he cherishes the most

for shadow milk, it started out as simple intrigue! when a random cookie just appears and looks to be intending to stay- of course you wanna watch! so shadow milk did .

&& as for how they got to be polyam in the first place........ if shadow milk didnt think itd be fun it probably wouldnt have happened at all...

After seeing your peppermint fudge posts with shadow milk...like the one with dark cacao and the one where peppermint fudge 'saves' shadow milk from a spore...aaaand the one where it looks like they are protecting shadow milk from pure vanilla...

I now can't help but imagine then wonder:

Peppermint fudge going to protect shadow milk....peppermint fudge then gets defeated or gets smacked in a way....would shadow milk just snap and be like 'THEY ARE SUPPOSE TO DEFEAT YOU CAN I CAN SWOON AT THEM, YOU [insert cookie version of calling someone an A-hole]' and then attacks them...taking on the role as knight saving someone VERY VIOLENTLY as payback for them hurting his love and for ruining the vibe of peppermint fudge being his 'knight'?

if there's one thing shadow milk probably hates more than someone ruining HIS performances, it's probably if someone's ruining peppermint fudge's!

The drama of romance was always one of Shadow Milk's favorites. Even before the corruption. He could remember the old plays he would watch from way back when. The Tragedy of Rose Cream and Apricot Clafoutis was one of his personal favorites. A classic of a knight going to find her princess- only for the twisted reveal that the princess had been the villain all along! Not many were fans of it at the time, but Shadow Milk had been forever intrigued by it.

the hollyberry kingdom can have week long parties for a number of occasions-- sometimes it matters, sometimes it doesn't. right now, all that dark cacao is concerned for is finding the fastest exit so he can rip the chokehold of a cravat off. but something (someone?) is making him hesitate...
