Are you still taking requests? If yes, may I humbly ask for some headcanons for Zenji, Lyca, Rui, Alan, and Tohma overhearing the reader humming to themselves either out of boredom or as a coping mechanism after speedrunning a traumatic event doing a mission. They also have a really sweet and soothing singing/humming voice.

I had another request that was with the same character but instead of Zenji, they asked for Towa. So I combine the two requests. I hope you both love this HC.

Zenji:

You have finished all of your classes for the day and was sitting outside in the courtyard of the school. The gentle breeze brushing through your hair. The warm sunshine beaming on your face. You sat with your eyes closed as you soak in the sun. Your legs spread out in front of you as you leaned back on your two hands. A small gentle tune fills the peaceful air as you hum the song, “The Wreckage,” by Alex G.

You don’t normally hum or sing out in public, but there wasn’t many students nearby. So what people don’t know wouldn’t hurt. Right?

Well little did you know. A tall sweet handsome man, just so happens to be walking in the courtyard. The sweet melody had caught his attention. So he followed the sound. There he sees you, bathing in the warm sun. He was captivated by the beauty he was seeing. He slowly walks up to you and sits next to you.

“My dear sweet doll, what song are you humming to?” You pause to tell him what song it is.

“What a beautiful voice you have! Please May I hear more? Maybe actually sing it?” He pleaded, you were a bit hesitant. But you started to sing. Once more you closed your eyes. Only this time, you were actually singing.

He loved it, the song choice. Your sweet voice. All of it. It makes him feel relaxed and happy. It even inspired him to make another song himself.

Maybe this time, he’ll sing to you instead.

Lyca:

You came over to the bar to help Rui and Lyca. It was closing time and you and Lyca were almost finished. Once you both were finished with the clean up. You walked Lyca back to his dorm. While on your way to the dorm. You started to hum. The night was a bit chilly, but calm.

Lyca didn’t have much to talk about so he stayed quiet. Once you started to hum the song, “Wars of hearts,” by Ruelle. “ It had caught his attention. Not because you were awful. He was just simply curious. He stays quiet but fully paying attention to your voice. Soon as you reached his dorm. He stops at the door and turns to face you.

“Oi, what was that sound you were making?” He had asked

“Sound? What sound?” You hadn’t realized you were humming while walking.

“The sound you were making with your mouth while walking.”

“Ohhh, humming! Sorry didn’t realize I was doing that. I sometimes hum a song when I’m bored or something.”

“Song? Can you do, whatever you are doing, for me?” He had ask a little quieter than his normal tone. He wanted to know the words of the song. He wanted to hear the words from your lips. You had smiled at him and nodded your head.

He laid down on his bed and hugs his blanket. Once you started to sing, he paid close attention.

That was until your voice had lulled him into a peaceful slumber.

Rui:

You were a bit shaken up from the mission you had went on with Rui. Things had gotten a bit out of hand and it shook you to the core. While the anomaly had grabbed you and another girl. You were now trapped inside its belly. Afraid and slightly hurt by the acid on your leg. You had begun to sing your favorite song to calm your nerves. It was a song you loved since childhood. You parents would often sing this to you when you were scared or crying.

So as you held onto the girl you have tried to save. You began to sing, the song of your choice was, “I won’t,” by Alex G. With Lyca’s strong senses and abilities as a werewolf. He and Rui was able to find you both quickly. Your voice had helped him too. Once arriving in front of the anomaly. Rui hears a small voice within. The sound of your singing had made his heart flutter.

Lyca cuts through and pulls you both out. You were relieved, but hoped that they didn’t hear your singing. Lyca had heard you sing before. But it was Rui you were thinking about. After the mission ended, you all headed home. Rui brought up the song he heard you sing. He showered you with compliments about it and asked your to sing at his bar.

You denied the offer, but he hopes that he’ll hear you sing again.

Alan:

You were at Vagastrom waiting on Alan to finish working on the cars. You were sitting on the couch. It was just the two of you. So as you were scrolling through your phone. You were listening to music. Singing softly, you were sing a pop version of, “I won’t say (I’m in love), a!ka verison.

Alan was listening to you sing the words. It confused him a little bit at first, but continued to work on the car. He finds your voice soothing, much different than the music Leo or someone else would blast. Your voice was soft and gentle. Yet it was beautiful to him. It helps him relax and focus, rather than worry about other things at the moment.

The more you came over and it was just the two of you. He would hope that you sing to him. He’s a bit shy to ask, but he does tell you. That you have an amazing voice. This gives you the comfort to sing or hum around him. He would sometimes stop working and just rest. If you were to stop singing when someone comes in the room. He wouldn’t push it.

You even realize that he held a small smile as you sang to him.

Tohma:

Tohma and Jin has asked you clean around. A bit irritated, you do it anyways. You were heading to the laundry room to wash Jin's clothes. You had your earbuds in while listening to music. While walking down the hall. You were singing the song, “Please please please, by Sabrina Carpenter.”

Tohma was walking down the hall when he hears you singing. Stopping at the door. While your back was turned as you placed the clothes in the washer. He listens to you, he held a smile as he watches you bob your head side to side to the music.

After you started the washer you turned around to see Tohma. You screamed and softly laughed in embarrassment.

“How long have you been there?” You’ve asked.

“Hmm only a few seconds.”Embarrassed, you couldn’t met his gaze.

“You have a lovely voice MC. I do hope to hear it again. Though I’m afraid I have matters to attend.” He simply bowed and walked away leaving you with your face red as a tomato.

“The things he makes me feel.”

Little did MC know, Tohma was now humming to the song he heard you singing too.

Towa:

You were hanging out with Towa for the day. He had been patiently waiting to hangout and play with him. So to make it up to him. You decide to spend the entire day with just him. Both of you were cuddling under a tall tress as you talked about anything.

As a quiet moment takes over. It was peaceful and relaxing. Towa now moved to lay his head on your lap.

“Dandelion, sing me a song.”

“A song? Why would you want me to sing?” He had explain briefly that you once song Peekaboo a song to put him asleep. So now he wants you to sing for him. He pouts as he explains.

It was true, a week ago. You had helped Haru feed Peekaboo as he went to attend the other animals. Peekaboo, soon after he ate, didn’t want to be put down. So you rocked him to sleep as you sang to him. Towa was in the room and felt a little jealous. So now that he has you all to himself. He wanted to be spoiled too.

So then you began to think of a song. You had started to sing, “Waves, by Paige.” This made him incredibly happy. He quickly stands up and pulls you up to dance with him.

With pure laughter and smiles. You both dance around.

At a far distance was Ren and Haru with Peekaboo.

“They look like having fun.”

“ugh.”

My taste in music is pretty varied, but! Here are 4 I like and none of them really fit together- lol

Wine Red (The Hush Sound): I don't remember when I found this song, but ever since it has been a favorite of mine. I really like hearing piano in music.

I don't care (Apocalyptica): I've liked this song since I was 12, so my taste hasn't changed since I was kid. I really love the violin, it's super pretty with the heavy drums. Then the piano is super pretty as well~

Cascade (Dear Hunter): My best friend actually shared this one with me and I love it. It's got a fun beat and I absolutely love the lyrics, they are pretty iconic. I haven't listened to the entirety of The Dear Hunter, but my friend loves it so I have a decent idea of the plot.

All Stars (Smash Mouth): Hear me out. I loved this song since I was tiny. Way before Shrek came out. Mom used to tell me that I would sing it all the time, she thought it was the cutest thing. It's still a very fun song that I enjoy!

15. a song that reminds you of traveling - Going Going Gone by Maddie Poppe

This song was actually a suggestion from my friend for what songs to put on my cross-country move playlist and it worked so well for that trip!! it's so upbeat and was really fun to sing to when I needed that lil extra boost of energy!!

20. a song that empowers you - Only Human (acoustic) by Hurricane Love

This I'll admit was the one I had to think the longest on. Empower feels like it should be a big song, something I can sing to that gets me amped in a specific way, and I have a couple I think that match that well, but I had to go with what's been an older love of mine that isn't on spotify but always gets me feeling strong when I sneak over to youtube for some playlist time there. Their harmony at the end, and the yelling is jUST so good, very fun to sing to

26. a song that taught you a lesson - Light by Sleeping At Last

Mega cheesy (and happily so) with this one, my friend tagged me in this song ages ago and when I first heard it pretty sure I cried because it's full of such love and having a super dear friend think of me for it when I was probably going through a lot of shit [as per my usual] was,, very touching. I think the lesson had been a variety of "hey, hey please don't forget you're loved" which is always an important reminder, but this had been one of those times that Struck me fast and I always think of that when the song appears in my likes.

Sometimes he can't bring himself to get out of his room. And it's okay.

I rang the Mishima household's doorbell, burying my nose in my coat. The weather became colder and I was freezing. His mom opened, her long hair falling untied on her shoulders.

-Berry! It's been a while since I last saw your face, dear. Come in, come in. What can I do for you?

She was a fast talker, and it felt a bit overwhelming. It took me a few seconds to answer her question.

-Yūki didn't show up to school today, and... I'm a bit worried.

-Oh, if it's just that! He told me caught a cold, and stayed home for today. I don't know much more, he hasn't gotten out of his room.

She sighed, and a thought crossed my mind.

-Did he eat anything?

Mrs. Mishima shook her head.

-There're probably some curry leftovers in the fridge. You can try to re-heat them, but...

-I think I'll do that, yeah.

-You know where everything is. I'll be in my office if you need anything!

And just like that she stormed out of the living room. I took my coat off before heading to the kitchen. I knew exactly where everything was now, and the longest part of my little preparation was actually just the wait for the curry to heat up. After finishing that, I tucked a bottle of water under my arm and, plate an spoon in hand, I climbed the stairs.

Knocking on his room's door as best as I could, I said:

-Yūki? Can I come in?

-Yeah?

It sounded like a question, But I clumsily opened, then closed the door and made my way to his bed. I put the plate and the water bottle on the nightstand.

-Can I sit down?

He nodded, moving over to give me a bit of space.

-Why are you here?

He asked.

-I haven't seen you today, so... I thought I'd stop by.

-But what about your train? You're gonna miss it and be stuck here.

I had to take a bit of time to process what he just said.

-Who cares?!

I said, tone much harsher than I wanted it to be. His gaze drifted away, and I bit my lips. Yūki apologized in a whisper and I felt very guilty.

-You have nothing to be sorry for. But my train doesn't matter, I'm here for you. By the way, your mom told me you haven't eaten anything yet, so I brought something. Can you eat it? Just to have something in your stomach.

-I don't know. I'm really not sure. But I'll try.

-Cool.

At some point, while he was eating, he asked me something I didn't really expected.

-Can you sing me something?

-Hm? Uh, I mean, sure, but...

-Just... The first thing that comes to your mind. I... Your voice calms me.

I felt my ears growing hotter, but didn't pay it much attention, and quickly started singing something, a quiet melody, something we both knew so well.

I finished the song, he finished eating, and I handed him the water bottle.

-Thank you... For caring so much about me.

-I love you, Yūki, of course I care. And I'll be there no matter how tough it gets, I promise.

He just smiled. He just smiled, but it meant the world to me.
