"Just one more..."

A soft, humming chuckle of amusement slipped through the witch as Ming pressed another kiss to their cheek, adding to their small collection of marks left behind by her lipstick. It would take up some of their time to wash off, time they already had very little to spare before their morning meeting with the other council members, but in truth, Raine didn't mind. Not when they had the woman's gentle attention like this.

At the soft, warm touch of her lips against their cheek, a single green eye slowly fluttered open. The smile on their lips slowly widened into a tender grin as they looked upon the woman's features. By the Titan, she was beautiful...

Raine had known love before. The feelings they had held in the past for a certain witch weren't any less real than what they felt now. And yet, despite the fond memories that might have lingered in that distant past, the former Head Witch knew they had never known a love like this. It was soft and serene. It was exciting and filled with laughter. And, even on their worst of days, there was an unspoken promise between them both to never leave the other's side. It was love, entirely unconditional and unrelenting in its presence.

The witch didn't know what they had done to ever deserve Ming in their life, let alone to have earned her love in return for their own. How odd the universe was to bring such unlikely souls together. Hearts of two completely different worlds, yet they still fit perfectly together; two halves that completed one another.

Their green gaze shone with their wordless adoration as she pulled back, looking satisfied with her work that peppered their tanned skin.

"There. You better hurry now. Don't want to be late, love."

They stared blankly at her for a moment, their recollection of the task at hand having been whisked away by the mere thought of her.

Right. Their meeting. The meeting they had with the others. The meeting they'd have to leave Ming's side for and clean up the marks she had left behind. Blinking, it almost seemed like they were about to say something. Perhaps their usual farewells-- But, that didn't feel like it'd be nearly enough for them that day.

A half step forward and Raine's arm gently slipped around the woman's waist instead, a slight, mischievous smile curling up the corners of their lips as they dipped their head down.

Maybe, just one more kiss...

Raine: Hey, babe. I forgot, how do you say, uh, corn in Cantonese?

Ming: Suk Mai.

Raine: Ha, ha! Suk mai nuts! -immediately hangs up-

Ming: Alright, well, Raine is not my partner anymore. Raine is not my spouse--

"Alright," the witch quietly sighed as they settled onto the bed and into their spot behind Ming. Chin lightly resting on her shoulder, an arm reached around her side, holding out the small block of wood they had picked out. "Here; hold it tightly in this hand so it doesn't slip." Placing the wood block into her hand, their own shifting to rest against the backside of Ming's as a means of support. "Now, you get to find the panda hiding in the wood."

Raine tilts their head slightly to better look at the woman, smiling as they hold out their small whittling knife they've kept over the years. "Ready for the fun bit now?"

A few years after their marriage, Raine and Ming get set for the next chapter in their story together, hoping to further grow their family with the addition of another. It came to the surprise of all, however, that their hope for a plus one turned into a plus two. But, they couldn't have been happier to welcome the two into their lives. Being half human and half witch, no one knew what the two had in store for them, but it was a challenge Raine and Ming were ready to face together. art by @trvehearted

Wren Whispers [left]: non-binary. he/they. - While holding a heavy resemblance to their parent, Raine, in both features and complexion, Wren still holds a likeness to his mother in their brown eyes and black hair (however, once they're older, due to their awakened panda spirit, their hair turns a bright, fiery red like their red panda's fur). Although powerful in their own right, Wren struggles more than most in their magical abilities. Something seemingly like a trade off as his connection and control over his inner panda is far stronger than those within his family tree, rivaling even Mei's control. As such, they choose to keep their panda spirit much like his older half-sister.

Yun Whispers [right]: cisgender. she/her. - Nearly the opposite of her twin in appearance, Yun takes mostly after her mother, Ming, sharing similar features and a lighter complexion, however their parent shows through in her hair and eyes; a light, mint green shade and dark green eyes. Wherein Wren's strength lies in control of their panda spirit, Yun's lies in her natural skill and power with magic. Advancing and growing her capabilities quicker than most her age, she strives to be as great a witch as her parent is. However, her ability to control her inner panda proves to be her bane. Sharing a strong intensity with her panda spirit similar to her mother's, Yun finds it easier to do like many in her family tree has done and seals away her panda in a golden bangle with a single red jewel set in it.
