i have updated my rules, and transferred them + elsie’s info to this doc.  the rule changes were necessitated by some interactions i’ve had recently and may be expanded further if necessary. if there are problems viewing the doc for any reason, please let me know. i’m struggling to find anything i actually like looking at.

i’ve been thinking about it for a while and i’m going to make a multi, finally. it’ll be a side blog to this one, extremely low activity. if you’re interested in checking it out, i’ll probably link to it once it’s set up, but i’m really bad at keeping up with other blogs - especially side blogs - so please be patient with me fhdsg.

activity notice:  i might have a slight dip in activity here in the next week or so. i’m struggling with my drafts, my queue is petering out, and i’m definitely headed into a depressive slump. 

this happens sometimes and i’m relying on my support system to help me navigate it. usually writing helps but sometimes i become really fixated on one specific thing to write about, and that seems to be happening right now. because of that, and because i don’t want to clog the dash with solely a few niche aus for however long this lasts, i’m considering making a separate blog for elsie solely focused in those aus. i’m worried that’s a little weird though, so i’m still not settled on that.

tonight’s dnd highlights include:

“it says i touch one willing creature... i am willing to touch myself” - our gnome warlock

“don't mind me, as i search through this list of 100 cowboy phrases for the right one for this situation” - also our gnome warlock

our halfling bard repeatedly failed to open a trap door after closing it because it was already open but he wanted to open it

our gnome warlock acquired earplugs of deafening and proceeded to use them almost constantly for no reason

i misheard violet fungi as violent fungi, and physically scruffed the oblivious warlock to move him away from it (spoiler alert - it was both violet and violent)

"i am going to perform aggressive surgery on his kneecap" - our halfling bard, attempting to make it explicitly clear he isn’t aiming for lethal damage

"you guys almost ruined this boss fight so i'm gonna UNRUIN IT" - our dm after we planned a sneak attack that grappled and disarmed the boss before we even entered initiative

bonus, pre-game exchange:

dm, picking an ambience track : this is dark, dank cave ambience... warlock and bard simultaneously, while high fiving : DANK!

dnd session began terrified for the boss fight. dnd session is ending with my fighter having befriended the boss, ended the boss fight, and adopted one of the boss’ children. the session has lasted one hour
