hello my dearest. i'm good!! tired and a little stressed - i've got some big personal things going on this month that are all one right after another and that feels like a lot. but i am taking it all in stride! april has been grey and rainy so far here in the mountains but i know the sun will show itself soon enough. the trees and the flowers are all blooming and it makes me so happy.

that's such a good question :') for bakugou, it's annoyingly personal - i grew up with a best friend that was quick to anger and had no where to put it but his hands and other people, but he was so, so good to me. he was a protector above all else, and he had his faults but i thought the world of him - i still do. when i write bakugou i think of him and all the things i'd like to say - not in a romantic sense, but in an i really miss my friend sort of way. you know?

for shouto, when i started carve it into me, i got stuck on the part of him that is so emotionally intelligent (contrary to popular belief) that he ends up weaponizing it against himself because he feels on some level that it's his lot in life to be mistreated. so from there i got really interested in what it might look like to unlearn that. i really do love that story - i hope i get a second win and can pick it back up soon.

hmm i think nanami is a bit hard for me to write bc his dialogue is more serious and i have trouble writing it to be that way y’know ?? i feel like w gojo and geto they’re always teasing in a sort of way so i write that much easier than nanami but nanami is super fun to write still. i think the hardest character to write tho is ushijima in hq bc that man speaks like 3 times a day and it’s hardly much 😭 idk he’s always been hard for me ig the rly serious characters are always hard for me

I’m not really a great gift giver by any means (i am better at experiences rather than things) but i think Nanami unintentionally is. i think he’s good at the seemingly small things—he’s observant and notices things like my preference in the texture of blankets or the way i reach for things when I’m cooking or what kind of pins i use in my hair. i think he buys things that would be useful to me, rather than the frivolous just for shits gifts.
